6 EXAMPLES OF HOW DOGS ARE SMARTER THAN YOU MAY THINK

images (1) WHEN WE GESTURE OR GIVE COMMUNICATION COMMANDS DOGS UNDERSTAND THAT WE WANT THEM TO OBSERVE US AND HELP US BY OBEYING OR DOING WHAT WE WANT THEM TO DO.

DOGS MAY NOT FEEL GUILTY WHEN THEY HAVE MISBEHAVED OR DONE SOMETHING WRONG BUT THEY REACT TO OUR FACIAL DISAPPROVEMENT AND CRITICISM.

RARE DOGS CAN SOMETIMES REMEMBER AND CORRESPOND WORDS TO AS MANY A THOUSAND OBJECTS OR LESS SO THEY HAVE THE ABILITY TO JOIN WORDS WITH OBJECTS TO SOME DEGREE.

DOGS DON’T ALWAYS FOLLOW THE DOMINANT DOG OR LEADER OF THE PACK BUT PREFER TO FOLLOW THE ONE WITH THE MOST FRIENDS OR A SOCIALLY CONSCIOUS DOG.

DOGS CAN BE SELFISH TO SOME DEGREE SINCE THEY OFTEN DON’T OBEY OR LISTEN TO COMMANDS OR GESTURES WHEN OWNERS ARE NOT FOCUSING DIRECTLY ON THEM BUT FOCUSING ON A TV OR BOOK INSTEAD.

DOGS LEARN BY WATCHING HUMANS AND THEY MAY NOT BE ABLE TO LOCATE FOOD AS SKILLFULLY AS WILD WOLVES WHEN IT IS OBSTRUCTED BY A BARRIER SUCH AS A FENCE BUT THEY SPEEDILY GET TO FOOD BEHIND A FENCE IF HUMANS SHOW THEM HOW TO GET TO THE FOOD BY WALKING AROUND THE FENCE.
