EXPECT SOME HAPPINESS TO EXIST DURING THE DAY WHEN YOU WAKE UP AND PRIME YOURSELF WITH OPTOMISTIC ANTICIPATION EVEN IF IT WILL ONLY BE A DELICIOUS MEAL AND DRINK WHICH YOU WILL HAVE AT SOME TIME IN THE DAY.

PRIORITIZE THE GOALS WHICH YOU WILL BE TRYING TO COMPLETE DURING THE DAY OR THE NEXT TWO OR THREE DAYS AND START WORKING AT THE GOALS BY DEVOTING MORE TIME TRYING TO ACHIEVE THE MOST IMPORTANT OR MOST URGENT ONES FIRST.

DON’T IGNORE YOUR COWORKERS EACH DAY AND AT A MINIMUM SAY HI AND SMILE TO ACKNOWLEDGE THEM OR GIVE THEM WORDS OF ENCOURAGEMENT OR THANKS IF YOU THINK THEY DESERVE IT.

TRY TO AVOID PARTICIPATION IN VERY BIASED OR OPINIONATED CONVERSATIONS ABOUT POLITICS OR RELIGION BY SAYING “NO COMMENT” OR “IT MAKES MY MIND HURT” OR “I DON’T WANT TO DISCUSS THAT BECAUSE I GET TOO EMOTIONAL ABOUT IT”

ASSUME HUMANS BASICALLY HAVE GOOD INTENTIONS EVEN IF THE COMMENTS YOU HEAR SEEM BAD OR WEIRD BECAUSE YOU CAN’T READ MINDS AND IF YOU ARE PERSONALLY OFFENDED GIVE IT SOME TIME AND YOU WILL PROBABLY RETURN TO A BASICALLY FRIENDLY RELATIONSHIP IN THE NEAR FUTURE.

EAT SOMETHING DELICIOUS AND TASTY ONCE IN A WHILE AND SAVOR THE EXPERIENCE BY EATING IT SLOWLY TO GET OPTIMAL PLEASURE OUT OF IT.

FOCUS ON THE JOB AND DON’T FANTACIZE OR FEARFULLY THINK ABOUT WHAT UNPLEASANT CONSEQUENCE MIGHT EXIST IN THE FUTURE.

REFLECT AT THE END OF EACH DAY WHAT ACCOMPLISHMENTS OR ENJOYMENTS WHICH YOU HAD DURING THE DAY AND START PLANNING FOR SOME MORE MAJOR OR MINOR ACHIEVEMENTS OR PLEASURES THE NEXT DAY OR TWO.
