THE TRUTH ABOUT HONESTY

honesty

Honesty:  n. being truthful and/or (without intentional fraudulent and/or deceptive behavior)

Honesty, telling the truth, or not lying is the best policy if you want a good reputation but that need not mean that you have to give honest answers to questions which are probing your private affairs. If you think it is privileged information then ignore the question or honestly say that you would rather keep the information confidential.

Brutal honesty should be avoided, especially name calling. If someone deserves criticism for doing something stupid, crazy, or incompetent then don’t say- You are stupid, crazy, or incompetent! Say that what you did was wrong or bad and maybe offer an example of what you would have done instead.

Avoid using vague superlatives such as ugly, hate, disgusting, weird, vulgar, loathsome, creepy, and yucky. If you must criticize then say that you dislike something a lot or that it is inappropriate and give your reasons why. If you give a reasonable reason for the objection then the human will not feel personally offended and think that you are calling them an ugly, hateful, disgusting, weird, or creepy human.

Deception is also a form of lying or not being honest and means that you are only being partially honest with hidden lies or hidden bad consequences.

Sincerity is honest communication with a respect for another’s feelings so if you are being honest then take into consideration the fact that feelings may be hurt if you give brutal honest criticism.

Be honest, sincere, dependable, and without deception and you will have a great reputation and most humans will respect and maybe even admire you!!!!!!

THE TRUTH ABOUT C-SECTIONS

download

The average cost of hospital delivery is $30,000 and for a C-Section it is $50,000 or $20,000 more. Add to the profit motive the fear by more than a third of doctors of being sued for a failed healthy delivery and you have the reason why C-Sections in the past 40 years have climbed from 5% to about 33% of all deliveries of newborns.

C-Sections are a money making scam and if you are a healthy young expectant mother then you should seriously consider giving natural birth at home with the assistance of a midwife and you can save yourself $50,000 if you have no insurance.

C-Sections are a major surgery with the possibility of infection and a longer hospital stay. If you have one C-Section then your future offspring will also be C-Sections because the first surgery may have damaged the abdominal wall  thus making natural delivery riskier the next time.

Of course if you have a sonogram and there are medical reasons for having a C-Section such as a knotted placenta or a gargantuan 12 pound over sized baby then a C-Section may be necessary but in most cases a sonogram is a good predictor of whether you will have a successful natural childbirth and you will know what the sex of your offspring is.

Be brave, have a sonogram made close to delivery as a safety precaution and go for a natural child birth out of a hospital or in a hospital if you have insurance. The odds are in your favor!!!

THE TRUTH ABOUT KNOWLEDGE

applied-knowledge

Knowledge: n. having mentally stored retrievable collection of (facts and/or theories) and/or (fictions and/or skills) and/or behaviors gotten by (perception and/or experience) and/or (memorization and/or reasoning) and/or (reading and/or a subset(s)) whether or not the correspondences of these (facts and/or theories) and/or (fictions and/or skills) and/or behaviors has been made and meanmaked

Meanmake: v. to communicate relatively accurately making a personal subjective and/or objective correspondence(s)

Knowledge is basically memorizing things or subsets such as information, data, skills, and experiences. Knowledge then is used to try and achieve goals in life. There is a saying that knowledge is power or the ability to do things. There are many humans doing things without much knowledge and they are severely handicapped because they frequently can’t reach the goals which they hope to achieve.

Education is the process of gaining knowledge and those with very little useful education are frequently the humans who have the most difficult time with living life in a technologically advanced world.

WHAT you know is frequently more important than HOW MUCH you know and many humans with liberal arts education are finding out that they know much about things which aren’t really very useful in life, especially when it comes to landing a good paying job. Quality knowledge is much more important than quantity knowledge.

Acquiring random knowledge may be fun to do but the key to success these days is learning specialized knowledge in a field which is in demand. Yes, there is knowledge about hobbies, pastimes, and trivia which you may learn in life just for the fun of it but it will frequently not be very useful in a professional career.

Book learning or knowledge will help you to make smart decisions but what you need to also know is human knowledge or how humans behave with a heavy emotional bias. Human skills or knowledge about human behavior can unfortunately mostly be learned with exposure to humans and interacting with them.

Only book knowledge about human behavior will not always be useful in everyday interactions with humans. Leaders need emotional skills to lead  or motivate humans successfully and those with only book knowledge frequently do a bad job of leading humans. Real world experiences with humans will teach you how humans really behave and it is detailed knowledge which you will seldom find in a book.

Coming from a family with many offspring or being very social in and out of school is the best training ground for emotional intelligence or knowledge about how to interact successfully with emotional humans.

Information: n. using data which can be communicated and which is frequently meaningful

Data: n. a collection of a subset(s) from which useful judgments may or may not be made
