THE TRUTH ABOUT INCENTIVES***

logo

Incentive: n. creating a motivating subset(s)

Pleasure, fear, pride, role models, money, status, and helping others are the primary incentives or motivating factors in human behavior(s). We generally do what gives us pleasure and do or don’t do something to avoid what we fear. We also generally want to be proud of the things which we do or achieve. We also are frequently incentivized to imitate successful role models even though the role models in our lives are not that successful.

We all like to feel important about ourselves and would like others to think highly of us so that motivates many to try and make enough money, have some status, and help others in our daily lives.

Much personal failure and social failure can be the result of addictive bad behaviors acquired in childhood from bad role models but acquiring bad addictive behaviors in adulthood can also lead to much personal and social failure. Crises in life are sometimes the incentives which are needed to change some of our bad addictive behaviors, especially if we are getting considerable satisfaction from them.

We should all be incentivized to be good and do good in society. Unfortunately moral decay is continuing and many don’t know what being moral really means any more.  Many are floundering in a moral vacuum which results in failed human relationships and dysfunctional lifestyles. Failing personal lives are reflected in failed leadership lives. The society is in decay and corruption is becoming rampant.

Humans need just purpose in their lives to give it meaning and only an updated secular morality can give it to them. Young impressionable lives should be indoctrinated in elementary school with a just morality which is- except in emergency situations- don’t destroy biodiversity, don’t lie, don’t be inefficient, don’t steal, don’t commit adultery if married, and don’t murder.

If you know what be good and do good in society means then you are probably morally sound and are leading a relatively successful life.

Adversity: n. having a very bad circumstance(s) and trying to survive and/or escape samer circumstance(s)

Some of us are living in great poverty,

living in abusive marriages with offspring,

working in more than one unsatisfying job,

severely addicted to drugs,

in extreme financial debt,

or suddenly unemployed without good job prospects and are doing our best to survive and would like to escape our adversity but may not know how to do it.

Our only consolation may be that others in the world are on the verge of starving to death.

THE TRUTH ABOUT IMAGINATION***

download

Imagination: n. creatively thinking and visualizing in the mind

If we think and visualize and come up with new ideas or visual images which we then may record if we wish then we are using our imagination. Creative mental ability is something which offspring have in abundance and it is one of the traits which separate humans from other animals. Imagination can be outrageous and impractical but it can also be very interesting and innovative with sometimes good and useful applications in real life.

Imagining a different future in your life is frequently the first step towards making new useful goals and changing your life for the better or sometimes just making it more interesting to live.

THE TRUTH ABOUT APPEARANCE***

Interview Appearance for Banking

Appearance: n. visually impacting from a subset(s) for duration

Nothing is more potent at increasing selfconfidence than a good physical appearance and nothing is more depressing than feeling that you don’t look good and there seems to be nothing which you can do about it.

Females especially are trapped in the pursuit of unrealistic physical beauty standards and frequently obsess about their weight, hair, facial blemishes, and clothes. Men can be just as vain and obsess about their weight, physical strength, hair, and clothes.

I personally had a protruding tooth which caused me to smile less in public as a teenager and an asymmetric nose tip which caused me to have rhinoplasty done as a young adult. I also had wishes to be a stronger body type than I had as a child but I could do nothing about it so I learned to live with my body type. I credit my attempts at looking better to have landed me better jobs and wife even though my personality and educational background also had something to do with it too.

I sympathize with women who are overweight but even here you can go on a balanced starvation diet and stay on it if you really want to be an average weight. You may land a husband but chances are great that you will gain all your weight back at some point in the future and maybe end up divorced if your husband cares about appearance more than personality.

In an era of plastic surgery almost anyone can look good but realize that looking good is not enough if you have a poor paying job, have a bad personality, bad education, can’t communicate well, and have addictions to shopping and drugs. Appearance is superficial and you have to have inner beauty as well to succeed socially.

THE TRUTH ABOUT ACCUSATIONS***

Wrong-101-Header

Accusation: n. communicating a belief in the guilt and/or culpability of a human(s)

Have you ever been accused of bad, immoral, or illegal behavior and not been guilty? That is frequently the way that arguments start followed by bad feelings or resentment for being wrongly accused.

At some or many points in our lives many of us have been accused of lying, meanness, rudeness, inconsideration, laziness, tardiness, neglect, stupidity, craziness, incompetence, boastfulness, gluttony, greediness, lust, making a mistake, and jealousy. Some of us have been accused of addictions to gambling and drugs and some have been accused of stealing and adultery which are moral and legal transgressions.

Criminal accusations or accusing one of breaking the law is obvious but for all other accusations we automatically go into defensive mode, say nothing at all and ignore the accusation which sometimes implies admission of guilt, try to fight back and deny the veracity of the accusation, calmly try to discuss the validity of the accusation, or admit that we are wrong and maybe promise that it won’t exist again or say that we will try to improve.

Arguments frequently start with accusations by one human and an emotionally intense defensive reaction by the other human. Be sure that when you accuse someone that they are really guilty as charged and that you have personally witnessed it or that you have some proof and hopefully proof from a trustworthy witness. Better yet ask them a question which will lead to a better understanding of whether they realize that what they have done is indeed bad and something which they may want to change in the future.

Some bad and even immoral personalities such as liars are incorrigible. Once you discover this then try to exclude them from your life as much as possible or just ignore them as much as possible if you have to live with them to some extent.

Culpability: adj. being guilty without formal proof

THE TRUTH ABOUT IGNORING***

gonna-ignore-what-you-just-said

Ignore: v. to intentionally not see and/or not participate in a subset(s)

Sometimes when we can’t solve a problem, don’t like what is said to us, or can’t deal with a confrontation or argument we try to ignore it and hope that it will go away and leave us alone. We intentionally may turn our head away or just not participate in an unpleasant activity or effectively try to ignore it.

If we have unpleasant coworkers or friends which we don’t need, ignoring or avoiding them as much as possible is frequently the right thing to do. Unless it is a very important situation, ignoring it will sometimes make it go away or at least lessen the unpleasantness which would exist if we confronted the situation head on.

Ignoring family or work problems is frequently not the smart thing to do because they can develop into serious important problems which will then need our immediate attention.

Ignoring, avoiding, or trying to exclude the trivia in our lives is the smart thing to do so we can devote precious time to the things which really matter and are important in our lives.

THE TRUTH ABOUT HELP***

images (2)

Help:  v. to give a lifeform(s) a subset(s) so samer lifeform(s) can frequently achieve a necessary and/or desired goal(s)

You can help a human by offering them money, food, a possession, a service, knowledge, physical, or emotional support in time of need. Anything which you offer a human which will assist in achieving his or her goal(s) is help.

Students sometimes need help with homework and need transportation to and from school.

The best human relationships are where mutual helping exists or where each human in the relationship works as a team helping each other to reach their goal(s).

Sometimes the help offered such as the current welfare system only promotes further dependency and actually has some bad consequences. The destitute and also unemployed need a safety net at any age but the system must be radically reformed to eliminate corruption as outlined in my evergreen truth book CHANGES IN WELFARE LAWS.

We can all help biodiversity to survive by protecting and even expanding wilderness real estate. Wilderness plants and animals will help themselves if we just leave them alone and that is mostly all the help that they really need from us.
