Stinginess: n. (excessive reluctance to give one’s possessions without getting money and/or excessive reluctance to share one’s time without getting money) and/or excessive reluctance to share one’s possessions without getting money
Someone who is very reluctant to share a possession or give it away without getting money is frequently called stingy. You can also be stingy with your time and there are humans who simply don’t like to donate their valuable time to others. Excessive thrift is also a form of stinginess with money being the possession.
Being stingy is being very efficient but friendliness assumes that you are willing to share some of your wealth, information, and time with others so stingy humans are frequently not considered very friendly.
