Wait: v. to use up time with minimal activities and desiring an important event to exist

Waiting is unfortunately a fact of life in the modern world. We sometimes wait in long lines to purchase something, we wait on dates to arrive or get ready to go out, we have to wait for someone important to stop talking, we wait on doctor appointments, and we wait for humans to arrive on time for a scheduled appointment.

Humans who are not punctual or don’t value someone else’s time are abundant in an increasingly irresponsible and uncaring society. Waiting is becoming an increasingly frequent occurrence in modern life and is the source of much angry frustration.

Waiting can also be pleasurable if you bring something with you to do while you are waiting. Today, bringing a smart phone with you may be all that you need to make an otherwise unpleasant waiting time a pleasure.
