Sure, if you need a very reliable appliance or tool and you will use it almost on a daily basis then a new appliance or tool is necessary but you can find many used items with plenty of usability in them at ridiculously low prices. Of course you will have to shop around on the internet a little and if you are very rushed for time and it doesn’t pay you to do the necessary laborious research then of course you can buy new, especially if you have abundant financial means.

Let’s face it, if you use something only occasionally and not every day or every week then you probably don’t need a new anything and you will save much money in the process.

Cars, motorcycles, and houses which we use every day can still be bought used because some warrantees may not have expired and there is plenty of mileage left in a used car or motorcycle.  All that a used house may need is some minor remodeling to fit your tastes and you can do so when you feel like it since it is not really a necessity or need but a want.
