THE TRUTH ABOUT TENURE+

download

Tenure: n. legally possessing an office and/or job for duration

College and university professors can get tenure but must first demonstrate that they are tenure prospects during about a 7 year trial and evaluation period. Usually if tenure is not gotten then firing is the usual course of action. Once a professor gets tenure they still have to behave morally and meet professional standards of conduct or they can lose their tenure. It offers some job security if you do become a controversial figure with rather unique ideas or beliefs or you do not want to compromise your ethical standards to get grants with unethical strings attached.

For financial reasons up to 50% of faculty is often made up of part time or temporary teaching personnel who relieve the burden of teaching large classes of students. The tenured staff usually devote about half their time to teaching and half to research which gives them plenty of time to stay current with new developments in their respective fields.

THE TRUTH ABOUT TENDENCY+

tendency-thumb

Tendency: n. a largely impulsive inclination which frequently does not accurately correspond to logical choices

We all have impulsive tendencies to do things our way or the way that we have been doing it for years and frequently don’t welcome changes from these tendencies with a very open logical mind. Tendencies are conditioned emotional attitudes towards things and circumstances and they are to a large extent based on our prior experiences and habits which we have developed in life with similar things and circumstances.

Whether you have a tendency to overeat, to argue too much, to talk too much, to drink alcohol too much, to prefer certain features in the opposite sex, to like a certain standard of living, to be introverted or extroverted, all these impulsive tendencies are your misfortune if they are bad and your fortune if they are good tendencies.

Logic plays a very small role in changing tendencies and it is only crisis situations which will sometimes make you change your tendencies to do things the usual  tried and personally preferred way.

THE TRUTH ABOUT TENACITY+

i_love_tenacity_walldecal-r832ab5f21ca94ce59adc6d5e942af7dc_8veny_8byvr_324

Tenacity: n. determined and persistent and persevering in pursuing a goal(s)

A tenacious human is an extremist who pursues a goal(s) with determination, persistence, and perseverance. When others have given up long ago the tenacious human is still at it refusing to give up or switch to another course of action.

Tenaciousness can be confused with stubbornness which is a reluctance to change course once you have made a decision to pursue a course of action even though objectively you should change course.

A truly tenacious human is not really acting stubbornly because to him or her there are still objective reasons to pursue the goal(s).

THE TRUTH ABOUT TREATMENT*

Natural-Treatment

Treatment: n. affecting a lifeform(s) to achieve a medical and/or behavioral goal(s)

Humans, animals, and plants are sometimes treated medically or chemically to cure them or improve their health. Sometimes the treatment is only behavioral and there is an attempt to correct behavior flaws in the lifeform(s).

There is a flood of pills being prescribed in the psychiatric profession for mental disorders which can only be permanently cured with healthy food and drink and radical behavior modification which means switching to a new environment with new good friends as opposed to a bad environment with bad friends.

The medical profession and its plethora of pills which don’t cure but mask symptoms and create undesirable side effects which are then treated with more pills. My cousin started out with one blood thinning pill and in two years time was taking 10 pills for the same initial problem and died. It is time to sue the medical profession for gross malpractice and advertising medications on TV should be outlawed!!!!!! The medical pill money machine should be hit in the pocket book where it really helps and the sooner it is done the better!!!

We have a national severe addiction to pills which is not only making chemical imbalances in the brain worse but is ruining the normal functioning metabolism of millions of patients who basically need good organic food and drink, moderate exercise, and relationships with better moral humans without debilitating addictions of all kinds.

True rehabilitation or the proper treatment takes time, effort, and money which is not available to the average mental patient and it is a tragedy which is reflected in almost a quarter of the population on some kind of mind altering drugs prescribed by doctors and psychiatrists. When will this injustice ever be addressed because it is getting worse not better with each passing year!!!!!!??????

THE TRUTH ABOUT UNAPOLOGETIC*

apologetics-conference-2014

Unapologetic: adj. not (acknowledging and/or showing) regret

We all have met up with humans who are rude, criticize unjustly, ridicule, name call, are sadistic, hurt feelings, make mistakes and have no regret for doing so and never apologize. These unapologetic humans make terrible bosses and friendships with them are next to impossible.

It is sometimes smart to apologize even when there is only a slight blame for being nasty or unkind and not let your unapologetic ego get in the way of a smooth functioning trusting relationship. No one is perfect and when your imperfections surface merely saying “sorry” is often an appropriate response.
