Superficial: adj. a minimal change in a subset(s) which does not change samer subset(s) to an important degree
A very small almost imperceptible change in something is called a superficial change and it usually doesn’t adversely affect the functioning or appearance of the whole.
A miniscule scratch or blemish is usually called superficial damage.
