Source: n. being a subset(s) (from which a different and/or samer subset(s) begins) and/or from which a subset(s) is removed

A source is frequently the time and place or human where you begin something from or it is something from which you remove something else. The source of a headache is the brain but the ultimate cause or source of the pain may be blamed on a rough day at the office or even a hit to the head.

There may actually not be a source for the universe and it may have always existed in one form or another. Although our intuition promotes the desire to have a creation myth or a source for everything at some point in time the universe itself may be an exception to the general rule of sources for almost everything.
