Service: v. to do work with or without a subset(s) which benefits a human(s) and is frequently done for money

Service is a subset of work and it is work done to benefit a human(s) in some way. There are “free” services such as public broadcasting, charities, libraries, and recommendations of professional services which are funded by the government or private organizations supported by advertising revenue so in reality there is no free service which someone doesn’t ultimately pay for.

There are human services such as tutoring, senior care, medicine, and entertainment which focus on basic human needs and wants. Information and technical services are important and services dedicated to goods distribution or customer services which are the commonest forms which exist.

Do you have a need or want? Chances are that you will find a service willing and able to satisfy your need or want for a price.
