THE TRUTH ABOUT NEW+

dreamstime_new_burst_570718

New: adj. a subset(s) which has been made relatively recently but may have identical copies and/or a subset(s) which has existed for a very short time in a lifeform(s)’s possession and/or a subset(s) which is in the possession of an (original creator and/or manufacturer) and/or distributor where it frequently has just been stored and hasn’t been used for the purpose intended

There is new information, new goods, new services, new lifeforms, new planets, suns, and galaxies.

Something new may have been recently made, may be a very recent addition to your possessions, or may be something manufactured and stored in a relatively unaltered form.

If you learn something new then it is a recent addition to your memory which is a possession. A new behavior may also be a recent addition to your behavioral collection which is also a possession.

THE TRUTH ABOUT NOMINATE+

nominate-w

Nominate: v. to propose a subset(s) for (office and/or honor) and/or award which is then frequently voted on

You can nominate a book, song, or movie for an award or you can nominate a human to a position of authority which then is frequently voted on.

Nominations are frequently put to a vote by a group of relevant humans who make a judgment if the nomination will be accepted or rejected. There are also nominations which are accepted or rejected by a ruling authority of one or a handful of qualitied individuals.

THE TRUTH ABOUT NONCOERCIVE+

116438

Noncoercive: adj. not using force and/or the threat of force to get a desired behavior(s) and/or thinking(s) and/or belief(s) in an animal(s)

If you do not use force or the threat of force on others then you are using noncoercive behavior or interactive techniques.

Some humans still resort to force and threats of force to get their way or to dominate others but it is increasingly becoming an unacceptable way of trying to control the environment with humans in it.

Abusive families are examples where force and the threat of force is still profusely used with some success and results in much misery for the humans involved in the abuse.

Coercion is the natural state of human nature and to be noncoercive is what being a civilized democracy is all about. Tyrants love to use force and the threat of force to get their way and rule and unfortunately oppressive forms of government and oppressive societies are still the norm and not the exception to the rule which democracies try to be.

THE TRUTH ABOUT NORMAL+

download

Normal: adj. conformity with a standard norm of a set or subset and/or 100% of the subsets for a set

What is normal for one group of humans may not be normal for another group of humans so normalcy is dependent on the group which you are talking about.

Normal public behavior is more restrictive but even here normal public behavior in different cultures can vary considerably.

Special occasions have behaviors which are not considered normal in most other instances. You can dress up on Halloween and go trick or treating and many communities will let you get away with setting off fireworks on the fourth of July.

Humans have their own strongly held opinions on what normal food, normal drink, normal dress, normal behavior, normal cars, normal houses, and normal stores are.

Humans are creatures of normal habits and any deviation from them is usually considered unacceptable and there is even some fear associated with deviating too much from personal normal activity.

Many humans fear trying out new potentially healthy foods and drinks simply because it is not the normal thing which they do day in and day out.

Noticeable: adj. easily seen and/or attracting attention which is frequently because of (speedy motion and/or large size) and/or (intense sensation and/or (unique and/or unusual) variation in subsets)

Noticeable is something which catches your eye or attention and it is frequently something which moves fast, is large in size, is a very intense color, is very loud, has intense smell, has intense taste, and/or is unique or unusual. If you look and behave normally then chances are that you will not be noticed that much by others.

THE TRUTH ABOUT OBEDIENCE+

obedience

Obedience: n. accepting and doing a command(s) which is frequently a (law(s) and/or rule(s)) and/or social norm(s)

As parents we expect a certain amount of obedience from our offspring. Some even want obedience from their pets and sometimes train them or bring them to obedience schools.

In the adult world we obey rules, laws, and social norms all designed to give society a certain amount of predictability.

Teenagers frequently rebel against parental and social norms and try to disobey them with usually bad consequences. There is nothing new in human nature and once we learn more and more about it we then become more tolerant of human deviance or at least learn to live with it if it deviates in a moral way and is not an expression of immorality.

With government laws being so numerous and more being added on yearly there will always be humans disobeying them to some extent since they are unjust in many special circumstances and not worthy of obedience.
