Intellect: n. the mental ability to analyze and synthesize largely using impulsivity and occasional reason which has a mathematical foundation and the mental ability to largely impulsively and sometimes logically exclude useless and/or trivial information not relevant to the problem(s) being solved.
Intellect really means a wonderfully trained brain with good memory which is able to analyze and synthesize information largely impulsively and efficiently. What makes a superbly trained brain even more powerhful and useful is one which is also able to reason using a mathematical foundation which results in efficient logical thinking.
A powerhful intellect also has an ability to largely impulsively and sometimes logically exclude useless and/or trivial information which is not relevant to the problem(s) being solved.
