Fiction: n. a recorded imaginary concept(s) which can contain a fact(s)
Fictional writings can be very inspiring because they mix imaginary scenarios with facts which seem real enough from personal experience. The net result of fictional writing may be bordering on the unbelievable as evidenced by popular science fiction writing.
Imagination abounds in sci-fi. Breaking physical laws with time travel, traveling faster than the speed of light, and having magical powers of a supernatural entity are all themes which dominate the science fiction landscape.
Fiction can be verbose tedious reading and if you don’t love reading the traditional way and are spoiled by instantaneous communications then the future of fictional writing seems bleak for future generations.
