Concentrate: v. to gather cloose together frequently with the removal of a subset(s)

Cloose: adj. existing at a relatively (short distance in space and/or small time interval) and/or (small number and/or small degree) and/or small quantity

When you concentrate juice or a solution then you frequently wind up removing a subset such as water or a solvent and leave behind more of the dissolved substance and/or chemical(s). Getting a concentration of pure gold is removing as many of the subsets or impurities as possible.

To concentrate has little to do with thinking and is just a redundant synonym for to focus mentally or the recommended new unique verb – Concentratev: v. to focus mentally
