Loathe: v. to sense disgust and very intense disapproval

Loathing something is almost hating something but the difference is that what you loathe you don’t necessarily want to destroy. Loathing can sometimes transform into hatred where you want to destroy what you previously just loathed or very intensely disliked. Sensing disgust and very intense disapproval is not hatred.

It is appropriate to say I loathe some of the things which you do but I don’t hate you for them.
