Exhort: v. to very intensely urge with strong emotional appeals
Don’t eat that mushroom or your going to die! Make that mistake again and your fired! Behave like that again an you will lose your wife! Exhortations based on fear have strong emotional appeal and nothing is stronger emotionally than the idea of dying, losing a loved subset(s), or losing something valuable.
The are also scam exhortations tempting you to make much money quickly and appealing to your greed which is also a strong emotion.
