Modest: adj. a moderate and/or humble appraisal of one’s ability to achieve a goal(s) and showing the attitude privately and/or publicly
A modest human seldom brags about his or her accomplishments no matter how exceptional they might be. Many humans basically don’t like braggarts, especially those with a sense of superiority, and a modest human understands this basic human nature fact.
A modest human frequently gives credit to others too for an accomplishment(s) and tries to share the spotlight with others.
Actions speak louder than words and a modest human gets more satisfaction in actual achievement rather than selfishly advertising his or her greatness verbally.
Show business has a place for confident bragging self promoters but the ones who usually last a long time in the spotlight are the more modest ones.
