THE TRUTH ABOUT SELFMOTIVATION!!!

Selfmotivation: n. having the confindence and desire to pursue a goal(s) largely because it seems doable and worthwhile and often necessary

Whether it is in the workplace, in school, or at home a selfmotivated human is preferable to one that constantly has to be told what to do and has to be meticulously supervised to get the task(s) done properly.

Too many of us do things trying to avoid failure rather than doing things because we are striving for success at pursuing a goal(s). To be selfmotivated you have to have confidence and in many cases this is gotten by successful experience in setting, pursuing, and achieving goals in the past. The second key to selfmotivation is actually having a desire to do a goal(s) once you have chosen one. Confidence and desire go hand in hand but two other important factors which are present are a feeling or belief that the goal(s) is doable and that it is worthwhile to do.

What makes a goal worthwhile can be that it helps someone in a significant way such as a customer who is made happy or a family member who is grateful for your input. Worthwhile goal(s) often help the community and/or world in some way and also help you often with financial and/or social rewards.

Some goals are necessary to do and are often daily responsibilities such as cleaning the house, doing laundry, mowing the grass, doing a household repair, taking offspring to school, etc. These responsibilities may not be very rewarding personally and may seem like drudgery to some but doing them is vital for the relatively smooth operation of your life and troublesome if not fulfilled in an orderly way.

In business a very important organizational structure, especially in innovative businesses, is selfmotivated teams where the skilled employees in many specialty areas work together to reach assigned goals pretty much at their own pace. These teams often get the work done in less time than it would take if the managers were supervising the teamwork and set rigid deadlines and micro managed to too great an extent.

Nowhere is selfmotivation more important than in education where selfmotivated teams of students are assigned work to do with only occasional input by the teachers themselves if the team is deadlocked on a topic. Yes, there are usually team leaders who are the brightest in the team and these serve as excellent role models for the other students and the result is a positive synergistic learning environment.

THE TRUTH ABOUT ANIMISM+

Nautilus-Logo-Large

Animism: n. believing that an object(s) has the characteristics of a lifeform(s) and/or is alive

Historically and currently giving lifeform characteristics to objects is called animism and with the exception of robots the concept has been and is highly delusional. That inanimate objects can sense on a level with humans or control events in nature is pure delusional insanity.

THE TRUTH ABOUT DELUSION*

delusional2

Delusion: n. convinced of a deceptive and/or illogical belief which is actively defended

A delusional human is one who is convinced of some deceptive concept and/or illogical belief and actively defends it as if it were the truth. Delusion is a highly subjective concept because one human’s delusion or illogical belief may be another human’s truth and what is considered delusion is often merely a great deviation from the norm of social beliefs.

Some examples of extreme delusions are that you think that you are the king of some country or that you are a popular figure such as Napoleon or Jesus. A more common pervasive delusion is that anyone can make money gambling.

THE TRUTH ABOUT SELFCONFIDENCE+

images

Selfconfidence: n. freedom from selfdoubt when trying to achieve a goal(s) which frequently exists with a belief in oneself and in the power of one’s abilities

Confidence in yourself and others exists and when you are selfconfident then you have succeeded in freeing yourself of most selfdoubt, you believe in yourself, and you have faith in the power of your abilities.

Selfconfidence is a desirable trait as long as it isn’t demonstrated in an arrogant way. Know it all personalities who think they are right about everything do not have good reputations because no one is perfect and everyone should recognize this fact of life and react accordingly with some humility and inquisitiveness.

Unconvince: v. to not get a human(s) to believe and/or to agree that a subset(s) is true without coercion

Convincing is a subset of persuasion. You not only have to convince or persuade that something is believable or true but you usually have to proceed further and persuade the human that they do something about the new knowledge. If you have been unconvincing to begin with then your chances of persuading that human to do something are minimal or nonexistent.

THE TRUTH ABOUT UNEXPECT*

cute-love-life-unexpected-good-Favim.com-602499

Unexpect: v. to believe that a subset(s) is highly improbable in the future and/or not being aware of a subset(s) and to be surprised and/or startled when it exists

An unexpected phone call or surprise birthday party are two examples of the kind of events which can happen and surprise us or startle us when they happen. Unexpected illnesses like a gall stone operation and an accident are unexpected  bad events. Good or bad or in between events are possible and most prefer an unexpected event to be a good one.

In general if an event is judged and/or believed to be highly improbable in the near and/or far future then it is an unexpected event if it happens out of the blue so to speak.

THE TRUTH ABOUT PRIDE

300px-pride_fc_logo

Pride: n. selfrespect and belief in one’s own (worth and/or ability) and/or (merit and/or superiority) and/or power to achieve a goal(s)

Being proud of your achievements is a largely instinctual emotion and being proud of your offspring or group achievements is an extension of your pride to other humans.

A desire to be proud is what motivates most of us to do good and sometimes great things in life. Without a rather selfish desire to be outstanding in something humans would cease to function efficiently since they would not be very motivated or good at setting goals and achieving them.

There is excessive pride which can sometimes repulse other humans but frequently a little over confidence in ourselves is what keeps us going even in the face of great failure or hard obstacles to overcome.

Nationalistic and group pride is a unifying force between humans but the drawback is that it breeds intolerance of other groups and cultures and is one of the major reasons why prejudice exists in this world and is an obstacle to world unity or commonality of purpose.

THE TRUTH ABOUT OPINIONS

OPINION-340x200

Opinion: n. communicating a transient belief which is subject to change if confronted by logical reasoning or experiences which nullify samer belief

Opinions are frequently transient beliefs which we have about things which are relatively easily subject to change if we are shown that our opinion is untrue or not the whole truth.

We may temporarily believe that a new exercise routine will help us to lose weight. We try it and it fails so we change our opinion and conclude that it doesn’t help us to lose weight.

We may feel that one way to get good behavior from offspring is to bribe them or pay them every time that they behave very well. This may result in blackmail where the offspring will only behave well if you pay them or they may misbehave even when paid. Your opinion was wrong and bad circumstances force you to change your opinion or belief that money will solve bad behavior.

We frequently have favorable opinions about what we like and unfavorable opinions about what we don’t like. Our favorable opinion about a favorite food, celebrity, or appliance may all change if we get bored with our favorite food and find a better replacement, if our favorite celebrity mistreats a spouse or develops a drug addiction, and if the “reliable” appliance breaks down sooner than expected.

Sometimes  with logic and new facts someone will show that our opinions are erroneous and we change our opinions without new personal experiences playing a major role in the opinion change. Humans whom we trust and respect can also change our opinions more readily than humans which we don’t respect and trust.

Strong beliefs are not opinions easily changed so if you believe in moral behavior then you are highly unlikely to switch to immoral behavior. If you don’t believe in lying, stealing, and adultery then chances are you will take those beliefs to the grave and not change them.

THE TRUTH ABOUT SUSPICION

239 - baby big-eyes suspicion

Suspicion: n. judging intuitively that a subset(s) with little evidence or no proof is the probable cause of an event(s) in the past or the future

Sometimes we may have no proof or just a suspicion that someone is lying to us or stealing from us or an organization. If we investigate thoroughly we may find evidence that our suspicions were accurate.

Sometimes our impulsive feelings are accurate without proof because we have become very skilled at determining small changes in speech or mannerisms which are indicators of lying or deception.

After working for many years in the personnel department or having much experience hiring employees we may sometimes go with our gut or intuitive feelings about a human and not just the details found on a resume.

Sizing up a human based on speech patterns and body language is an acquired skill which few have in abundance because it demands exposure to a wide variety of human personality types over many years. The intuitive feelings of older adults are frequently more accurate than the intuitive feelings of young adults. The intuitive feelings of spouses and close friends about each other are frequently more accurate than intuitive feelings about casual friends.

Blaming or criticizing a human based on a suspicion is a dangerous thing to do overtly because without proof you are merely guessing. In many cases your guesses may be totally wrong and you may wind up offending a human unjustly for something they did not do.

There are also rare paranoid humans who intuitively feel or suspect that almost everyone is lying to them or deceiving them and maybe even stealing from them.

THE TRUTH ABOUT GULLIBLENESS

5883062_f260

Gullibleness: n. easily persuaded to do and/or to believe a subset(s)

Do you feel that you need to have the latest fashion craze?

Do you believe everything that you read is the truth?

Do you believe all advertising claims?

Do you believe in supernatural powers?

Do you believe that you can be anything that you want to be?

Do you believe in miracles?

Do you believe fortune tellers?

Do you believe that you will make much money playing the lottery?

Do you believe everything humans tell you is the truth?

Do you believe that any pill your doctor is prescribing you will cure you?

Do you believe that your political party has all the answers to social and economic problems?

Do you believe the stock market is a long duration good investment?

Do you believe that the value of your money will be secure in a savings account for use in your retirement years?

If you believe more than one of the above things then you are probably gullible and easily persuaded by fictional and minimally factual claims. If you do not have a questioning attitude but are quick to believe almost any claim which is alluring to you then you are probably gullible.

THE TRUTH ABOUT BELIEF

shutterstock_129407504

There are religious, scientific, and secular beliefs which are strongly held by humans.

Muslims and some Jews still have some pretty strong beliefs which guide their lives but most in the west no longer feel that religion need play a dominant role in their lives and the result is that there are no longer strong religious beliefs which guide humans in their lives. Many fall victim to a rather promiscuous and hedonistic life with very lax morality.

Secular beliefs in paranormal activity, the supernatural, aliens, ufos, ghosts, and horoscopes are dominant themes but they don’t impact the moral behavior of humans that much.

Many still believe in God, in a soul, and some form of afterlife.

The debate between creationism of the bible and evolution is absurd. Both are creationist philosophies because both assume there is a beginning and end to the universe. The big bang also assumes that the universe was born out of an infinitely small point in space in an instant and will die at some point in the very distant future.

The factual real truth may actually be that the universe has been around for an eternity and will continue to exist on into eternity just changing shapes and forms.

Science believes that the universe can be explained mathematically but unfortunately mathematics as a tool for explaining the universe is rather poor. There are unexplained singularities in mathematics arising from the concepts of zero and infinity and dimensions. Three dimensions in space along the x,y, an z axis all starting at zero and ending in infinity can’t explain the very small and the very big very well.

The human variables in life arising from living and using language are so many that human behavior will never be explained mathematically with cause and effect relationships or correspondences between variables such as poorly defined anger, love, hate, jealousy, empathy, lying, revenge, thirst, anxiety, fear, etc.

No moral code is possible to discover in science because human behavior can be fitted to respond to many moral code variations and none can be said to be the best and tested and proved in a laboratory environment.

Science with it’s experimental bias will never prove that humans need to make good moral judgments in an impulsive way to ensure peaceful interactions with other humans in the world. Impulsive good moral judgments about how to behave must be indoctrinated into young impressionable minds so they don’t lie, steal, and commit adultery if married as adults.

Offspring should be taught the importance of saving biodiversity worldwide and they should be as efficient in their daily lives as possible not wasting time, energy, and money in trivial pursuits which pollute  the environment and endanger the long duration health of future generations.

With these important considerations in mind an updated moral code for offspring is-except in emergency situations-don’t destroy biodiversity, don’t lie, don’t be inefficient, don’t steal, don’t commit adultery if married, and don’t murder.

If you want to live well then you need to believe in a moral code which guides your life impulsively. You may come up with a different version than mine but try to believe in one which suits your life to optimize your success in life with other humans.

Belief: n. personally judging that something is true or untrue with a very large degree of probability which frequently is 100% probability and/or a conscious and/or sub conscious reaction to an action.

The belief is frequently almost impossible to change if it is not challenged by scientific facts or pressure from a relatively large number of humans with an opposite belief(s)

All beliefs are conscious and/or sub conscious reactions to the environment or stimuli and beliefs also motivate our thinking and dreams. Beliefs are in effect mentally programmed reactions to the mental and external impulses and are the way that our body and mind reacts at any moment.

Sometimes the reaction is a conscious judgment of what the right or wrong thing to do is but much more frequently we are in automatic mode and we react impulsively with little or no logical thinking effort. What you believe determines how you will react to the world in and around you. Your mind impulsively and emotionally reacts to the environment in most cases and it is rare that you use your logical thinking ability to stop for a while and make conscious logical decisions.

You may disagree that your body is guided by sub conscious beliefs but it is TRUE because your body has been conditioned to avoid pain and suffering with a preference for pleasure and happiness. Your mind believes that touching hot stoves, doing physically risky things, and risking social censure is a no no and your body and mind will react impulsively to avoid those bad behaviors and bad consequences.

An opinion is a transient belief which frequently changes if confronted by logical reasoning or experiences which nullify the opinion.

We are all motivated by our beliefs and opinions so it is important for humans to change their beliefs, opinions, and the resulting behaviors if they are not reaching their goals or if the beliefs and opinions are proven to be untrue. One should not fear changing beliefs as long as it is not a change in basic moral behavior or a change from good behavior to bad.

I will believe in something as long as it is true and as long as I don’t have experiences which change or destroy those beliefs. This is a good philosophy to have and it is the proper way for humans to adapt to necessary changes in their lives and still maintain a secure and confident attitude.

You can have moral beliefs till the day that you die and you may not need to change them. One moral code which you should believe in for a lifetime is-except in emergency situations-don’t destroy biodiversity, don’t lie, don’t be inefficient, don’t steal, don’t commit adultery if married, and don’t murder.

Finally all my beliefs are not your beliefs and some are fortunate to live in a western society which tolerates deviating beliefs to some extent and we can live and let live.

I am convinced that if all my beliefs were made public there would be massive disagreement because I believe in the truth and telling it like it really is and not how most humans are taught to believe. I am the enemy of lies, myths, and deceptions and the truth is the enemy of lies, myths, and deceptions. The truth is one of my life’s obsessions.

Society is riddled with deceptions, myths, and common beliefs which we historically inherited and they are so strongly held emotionally that logical reason alone will not change this unfortunate circumstance. If you think that truth should ultimately prevail for the betterment of humankind then read my evergreen truth blogs and books and get enlightened!!!

THE TRUTH ABOUT OPTIMISM

optimism-640x492

Optimism: n. a belief that a goal(s) will be achieved with a relatively large degree of probability and a general belief that good events will be more frequent than the bad events in living

Pessimism: n. a belief that a goal(s) will be achieved with a very low degree of probability and a general belief that bad events will be more frequent than the good events in living

Optimism is a belief that you can make realistic small and large goals in your life and achieve many of them and also a belief which is not always justified that the good events in life will be more frequent than the bad events in your life.

There are many humans who start out life very optimistically as young adults and due to much misfortune or too many setbacks in life become more pessimistic about being able to reach all the goals which they thought could be achieved by them.

Frequently the reason that humans become pessimistic is that their goals in life have been too unrealistic. To achieve those rare admired positions in society they just have not realized that it takes an above average human with a very good memory or exceptional physical skills to reach celebrity status or achieve a very complex profession such as a doctor or engineer.

A good useful education is frequently a prerequisite to a high status position in society and it frequently means attending a good school, working hard, having enough ability, and having the financial backing to pursue useful higher education.

Most students, especially those coming from poor neighborhoods, don’t get a good useful education and don’t have the financial resources or grades to get useful higher education in a relatively prestigious university.

Handicapped by useless education and a job poor economy for the liberal arts majors it becomes increasingly hard to maintain an optimistic attitude about life without a job or working at minimum wage in a boring job and it is one of the major reasons for depression in young adults starting off in life.

CONCLUSION:

Society brainwashes almost everyone into thinking that if you just work hard at something with persistence then anyone can make it to the top. The truth is that you need considerable talent which means an outstanding memory and/or outstanding physical ability to make it to the top.

Most common humans must adapt to the reality that they will probably be working in a rather unsatisfying job and that their lofty goals will fail. To remain optimistic the common human must learn to be satisfied with the little achievements in life and must learn to live happily with them.

Failing to lower your goals means that you may try to escape your depressing unsatisfied existence with dysfunctional living and getting addicted to drugs, alcohol, gambling, promiscuity, pornography, and other bad addictions which will screw up your boring life even more and make your life a pessimistic rat hole.

WHY DO HUMANS GIVE TO CHARITABLE GOALS?

1353958495_7216_donating-to-charity

Research is being done to find out why people give money to support a charitable goal. It seems that if the pleasure centers of the brain are activated then there is a greater probability of giving. The still unanswered question is why do some humans feel pleasure and others don’t when giving?

It is just a guess on my part but I feel that giving is connected to a basic belief in the charitable goal that you are giving to and having enough spare money to give in the first place.

Previous conditioning by role models who gave to charities probably affects your lifelong giving tendencies but most important is a personal strong belief in the charitable goal. I used to give to conservation organizations which I believed in when I was single and stopped doing so when I got married and had offspring and had less money to give for charitable goals. I no longer felt good about giving because my family priorities overrode charitable giving.

CONCLUSION:

You probably give to charities because it makes you feel good, because you believe in the charitable goal, and if you have some excess money to spend on the charitable goal. If you are very religious you may actually give about 10% of your income to the religious organization because you have been indoctrinated to believe that it is the right thing to do. Acting on a belief is a pleasurable experience.

There is an untrue belief that one human messiah will come to save the world or the universe and then there will be peace on earth and justice will prevail. That one messiah would have to have supernatural powers so he or she could force humans to not behave in an irrational or illogical emotionally charged selfish way which is what humans are doing today with a severely flawed outdated language.

The truth is that we need more than one messiah to combat the lies and deceptions and untruths which make up current political, social, economical, educational, language, and scientific mythology or untruths.

The truth is that there are and should be millions more of true messiahs on this planet all trying to pursue the truth and then trying to apply updated truths in their lives and the lives of others.

If you are fighting courageously to promote the conservation of biodiversity and its expansion in this world then you are a messiah of the balance of nature truth.

If you are honest and sincere and truthful and change your beliefs about what you think is true when confronted with more logical alternatives then you are an evolving messiah of truthful living.

If you abhor deceptions, lies, and untruths in politics, society, economics, education, and science and try to do something about it in your personal life and your interactions with others then you are a good messiah of healthy trustworthy human interactions.

If you are fighting against inefficiency at home, in the workplace, and in society and think that trivial human pursuits pollute the planet too much by using up too many precious resources then you are a messiah of truth because nature abhors inefficiency.

If you think that stealing is morally wrong but that there should be a safety net for the unemployed and destitute and that they should have the opportunity to reeducate themselves at government expense for truly useful technological skills in the workplace then you are a messiah of truthful necessary human philanthropy.

If you believe that adultery is immoral in a marriage then you are a messiah of truth trying to preserve the just and efficient reproduction of humans.

If you believe that murder should be against the law unless it is in selfdefense  then you are a messiah of truthful human conflict.

If you believe that language should be updated to be less emotional and more logical with accurate definitions then you are a messiah of efficient language truth.

CONCLUSION: Modern politics, society, economics, education, language, and science is filled with myths or untruths and if you are courageously fighting against one or more of these myths then you are a member of the new army of messiahs which this world so desperately needs and you should be proud of the fact and should try to indoctrinate your offspring with a similar zeal. Also try to convince as many fellow humans to follow your newly discovered truths.

If you do this with courage and conviction maybe at some point in the near future you will have much more peace and justice on the face of this earth for both humans and wild animals and plants.
