Complexity: n. made from a relatively large number of subsets
At first glance it seems like the world is a complicated place. There are thousands of websites, thousands of products, thousands of books, thousands of blogs, thousands of songs, hundreds of stores, hundreds of games, hundreds of movies, hundreds of TV channels, hundreds of foods, hundreds of entertainers, over a hundred countries, and billions of humans.
The choices seem overwhelming yet most of us visit only a handful of websites, TV channels, stores, have a handful of songs, movies, and entertainers whom we like, have few if any close friends, and live rather predictable lives doing the same basic things day in and day out.
Technology is overwhelmingly complex but it is simplifying our lives so that all that you have to do is scan and click to get whatever you want instantly and much thinking is taken out of the process. A cell phone existence is the kind of life which awaits most of us in the future.
For the ambitious thousands of government laws and big money companies monopolizing most areas of life makes starting your own business or enterprise and making it a success rather improbable. The rich are getting richer and there are increasingly more poor humans stuck in rather unfulfilling lives.
In an era of technological change in the 21st century the liberal arts will be increasingly job poor and computer software will replace many jobs. Doctors will diagnose with the aid of computers and menial workers will be replaced by robots. Even driving will become mostly inputting the destination and letting the car drive us to where we want to go. Most of us will be leading rather simple lives on welfare eating, drinking, and socializing and being entertained via the internet.
For the innovators and industry leaders technological complexity will be almost overwhelming and demand the brightest and best to continue to make progress. For most of the rest of us who will still be employed it will largely be pushing buttons and spending hours on a computer screen.
Eating, drinking, shelter, transportation, toiletries, cell phone, an intimate relationship, some friends, and entertainment is really all most of us need in life and it is something which most of us will have to settle for in the near future.

There are seven basic reasons why achieving a goal(s) may be difficult and it may be more than one or as many as all seven.
The goal(s) may be very complex, may take relatively much strength, may take relatively much skill, may be something new, you may be handicapped, there is very little time to complete, and the difficulty may be that there is so much of it to do.
Some things in life are more difficult than others. Some see difficulty as a challenge and courageously try to master it while others see difficulty as an unnecessary hardship in life and tend to avoid it as much as possible. Avoiding too much difficulty can lead to a rather boring lifestyle but humans who are not used to much difficulty don’t frequently look for it and live life without much of it.
Getting excellent grades in school is difficult and those who don’t wind up in jobs which are not very difficult. The most difficult time humans have is frequently with loving or caring relationships with other humans. In an age of rampant promiscuity close trusting and faithful relationships are difficult to find and if found are sometimes difficult to maintain for a long duration.

Evolution: n. a relatively gradual change in a lifeform(s) frequently from simple to complex
Whether you believe that the universe was created from an almost infinitesimal point in space billions of years ago or whether you think the universe and earth was made in 6 days about 6000 years ago, these are both hair brained ideas which will never be proven and will be debated until the end of humanity or religion.
Evolution on the other hand is the idea that everything in the universe is changing, sometimes speedily and sometimes in almost imperceptible ways or very slowly. Evolution of humans, animals, and plants tends to be towards more complexity although the human world has gotten more complex and there is strong evidence that human intelligence is actually on the decline from a biological point of view. There are fewer and fewer geniuses in this world each day so we may in fact assume that the human species and its brains are evolving backwards to greater simplicity.
Whether living organisms are evolving towards greater complexity or simplicity at any moment is a debatable topic but what is not debatable is that the world is undergoing radical change due to human overpopulation and destructive human intervention in the environment.
DNA knowledge and its future manufacture may lead to complex human, animal, and plant organism DNA’s. Complex technology may even lead to smart robots which are more intelligent than most humans. We may in fact in the not too distant future be able to help nature along it’s evolutionary path from simple to complex organisms and technology.
Most of these new organisms will be mutant forms of life and their long duration survival on the face of this precious earth is under a big question mark. Will human intervention with life increase its complexity or ultimately destroy what little healthy complexity has evolved? Human destiny will answer those questions in the long duration. I only regret that I will not live long enough to find out.

SACRIFICE
Extreme desire for one goal such a career may mean that other important goals such as a good family life and strong friendships may be sacrificed. For some women extreme dedication to family may mean that they sacrifice a good career. Variety in life is usually sacrificed where there is extreme desire for one or only a few goals.
SELFDISCIPLINED
A selfdisciplined person has learned selfcontrol and has learned the knowledge and skills necessary to achieve a goal(s).
SELFRELIANT
A selfreliant person can achieve a goal(s) largely with his own knowledge and/or skills.
SERENITY
Serenity is frequently an unintended goal which comes to people (incapacitated by illness and/or incapacitated by accident) and/or slowed down by old age but it frequently doesn’t exist in people with the responsibility of caring for a family or those pursuing a stressful job.
SIMPLICITY
Simplicity or the shortest and/or least complex and/or speediest means to a goal(s) and is frequently the most efficient and best means to achieve a goal(s).
SUCCESS
Success is the achievement of a goal(s).
