THE TRUTH ABOUT ASSIGN+

download

Assign: v. to judge a subset(s) and to give the responsibility for samer subset(s) to someone(s)

To assign is really very similar to delegation where you are given responsibility or a duty to deal with a subset(s). A homework assignment is a typical example where it is your responsibility to do the homework on your own unless of course you need a little help with it some of the time.

THE TRUTH ABOUT FULFILL*

Website-graphic-fulfill-2-lo

Fulfill: v. to achieve a promise and/or duty

Fulfilling a promise or fulfilling a duty to raise your offspring responsibly means that you successfully completed a promise or successfully raised responsible moral adult offspring.

If you want to be respected and trusted in life then you should try your best to fulfill promises. Fulfilling your duties or responsibilities successfully is the only way that you will maintain a good reputation and have friends and relatives who will respect and trust you.

If you make a promise then you have a duty to fulfill it and failing to do so is a form of lying about your future activities which most humans consider immoral and some consider very irresponsible behavior.

THE TRUTH ABOUT OBLIGATIONS+

obligation-thumb

Obligation: n. morally and/or legally expecting a human(s) to do a subset(s) frequently within duration

Responsibility: n. a subset(s) which is being controlled by a lifeform(s) and/or an obligation(s)

For example, an obligation originates out of a sense of duty or it results from obeying rules and/or custom and/or law.  Achieving a promise is an example of an obligation which is an example of a social custom.

An obligation is usually associated with duration or a period of time during which it must be done so time is usually an important factor.

An obligation may be your personal responsibility but it may also be something which is the responsibility of more than one human. You may be obligated to do something, may act responsibly, and still fail at meeting the obligation if it is a very difficult one and must be done quickly. Taking on too great an obligation or too much responsibility is really one and the same thing. An obligation is a subset of responsibility.

You may be responsible for your risky behavior but you are seldom obligated to do it.

THE TRUTH ABOUT IRRESPONSIBILITY***

58559

Irresponsibility: n. being one who is not worthy of trust to do some duty(s) and/or task(s) and there is a large probability that one will fail to do the duty(s) and/or task(s) if it is requested

Incompetence: n. not having many of the requirements essential to an identified subset(s) and not achieving a goal(s)

You can say that an irresponsible human is also incompetent but an incompetent human may have some responsible behaviors which don’t make them totally irresponsible. A partially trustworthy or partially responsible human may be honest, sincere, relatively punctual, and a responsible parent but because of incompetence in a job they may not be dependable so they could be considered to be irresponsible to some extent.

A human may try to behave responsibly but fail miserably because of personal incompetence somewhere because they are just not experienced enough or don’t have enough skills to do the job right.

If a human is trying to behave responsibly but is failing then the problem may be incompetence somewhere and once that incompetence is overcome the human may indeed become very responsible.

THE TRUTH ABOUT DUTY***

Lifeguard-on-Duty-Sign-iStockphoto-630x402

Duty: n. being responsible because of (habit and/or morality) and/or legality and the responsibility is frequently a subset(s) demanded by (a human(s) and/or a family(s)) and/or (an organization(s) and/or society)

Duty is recognizing the need for responsibility and being motivated to behave responsibly as an authority figure.

You may know how to behave responsibly towards yourself, a human, family, organization, or society and proceed to do so whenever the need arises.

You may fear illegality, social censure, and criticism by a human if you do not behave dutifully or you may just feel that behaving dutifully is the right thing to do.

Whether motivated by fear or a good conscience or both, most of us try to fulfill our duties and behave responsibly to the best of our ability.

We all have a duty to behave responsibly towards ourselves, other humans, and the world which includes a duty to save and expand wilderness!!!!!!
