While accidents, disease, radiation, toxic chemicals, addictions to drugs, alcohol, and cigarettes, and dangerous or very stressful jobs can make you die prematurely there is considerable disagreement as to what can potentially extend your lifespan. Reducing caloric intake or not eating as much has proven that in rats it can extend your lifespan minimally but all other techniques are not proven.

Your best bet at living a long life is eating healthy organic food, exercising moderately, and not getting involved in dangerous or very stressful occupations or activities. Heart disease, cancer, and Alzheimers are almost inevitable diseases for most humans and if you don’t get any of the big three then chances are great that you will die of old age or natural deterioration.

Sometimes organ replacement will add a few more years if your organ has been prematurely damaged and needs replacement but it will not make you live much past your genetic predetermined lifespan.

Lifespan is primarily genetically determined or you are born to potentially live to an approximate age provided that you don’t do any of the things which can make you die prematurely. Life extension is a billion dollar industry and there are many charlatans trying to convince you that they have the secret to longevity. The truth is that you have an inborn lifespan predetermined at birth and there is very little which you can do to change it.

Yes, there are rare individuals who eat crappy food, don’t move around much, smoke and drink much booze and live quite long but they are the exceptions to the rule and it is a lifestyle which I wouldn’t advocate for longevity for the average human.

Occasionally eating heavily sugared foods two or three times a week is fine but why add more sugar on a daily basis from teaspoon fulls in foods which traditionally contained no added sugar?

Healthy wildlife which knows best does not add sugar to the food it eats. Why should you???

STAY HAPPY AND HEALTHY BY EATING EVERYTHING IN MODERATION WITH A LITTLE EXERCISE

Most of us are not eating right. Most of us are stuck with bad eating habits where we eat too much high calorie nutrition deficient fast food, too much sweet overly processed food which includes sodas, energy drinks, and deserts such as donuts, cake, and cookies. We eat too little variety because we have been addicted to a predictable bad habit of eating the same limited foods over and over again because we like their taste and for no logical reason other than that.

 

False fad diets to reduce weight and lopsided vegan diets which leave about 97% of vegans deficient in vitamin B12 and other nutrients found in meat destroy the variety of foods necessary for a healthy varied omnivore diet. Unless you have a food allergy you should be eating a little of everything in moderation to stay healthy and add a little exercise such as walking fast for about 20 minutes about three times a week.

 

Most of us are not experimental eaters because nature has programmed us to be wary of new foods which had the potential of poisoning us in the wild historically. We are emotionally afraid of new foods!!! Once we develop eating food habits we tend to stick with them for life unless threatened with bad health and then we sometimes force ourselves to change our diets. To eat healthy again you have to overcome the emotional resistance your mind has to new and better foods.

 

What you have to overcome is personal food biases which are mental handicaps to better more varied eating. I never eat nuts and sour cream with a salad, I never drink milk after a hearty dinner, I would never add cheese, clams, eggs, and veggies to chicken noodle soup, I would never eat yogurt after eating meat or a burger, I would never add veggies to a hamburger patty, I would never add nuts or real fruit to my cereal, I would never add small chunks of blood sausage to beef stew, etc. This reluctance to mix foods or to try to add new ones to a recipe is the major handicap which all of us will have to overcome to eat more nutritiously.

 

The fact is that adding a good tasting food to a good tasting food very frequently results in an even better tasting more nutritious food. If there is a food which you don’t like the taste of independently then consider adding it in small quantities to a food which you like so that you barely taste it. Adding a little broccoli, sprouts, kale or spinach etc. to your favorite soup will make it more nutritious and healthy and you will barely notice the difference.

 

If you want the nutritional value of ten or more herbs then add them to your favorite soup in almost imperceptible amounts and you will have increased the nutritional value of your soup without sacrificing good taste.

 

Experiment with food. If it is a new food and it is certified organic then it is probably something which you should include in your diet. If you don’t like the taste of a food and it is not repulsive, then add a little of it to foods or recipes which you like. Force yourself to experiment with new varied foods and you won’t need the illusory lopsided vitamin and mineral supplements which humans consume thinking that they are compensating for not eating a healthy varied nutritious diet. Instead of artificial food supplements add a little bee pollen to some of your meals which is gotten from many natural flowers and is highly nutritious with a boatload of vitamins, minerals, and other vital nutrients.

 

If you have any favorite recipes then EXPERIMENT by adding small quantities of other good foods to it. Variety is the spice of life when it comes to food and your meals will not only be more interesting but more healthy and nutritious also.

 

Final note: Some of us are addicted to fast food because we feel that we don’t have the time to make food ourselves or we simply like the taste and have developed a habit of eating it exclusively. If you refuse to change then at least eat a variety of fast foods in moderation. Eat pizza, burgers, chicken, tacos, burritos, sandwiches, etc. from more than one fast food place and try to patronize an outfit like Chipotles which tries to serve some organic food. A large variety of fast food from many companies is better and more nutritious than just eating at one favorite fast food outlet and definitely healthier.

CONCLUSION: Don’t eat just one food or a handful of foods but eat hundreds of different foods in small quantities or in moderation. Try to eat more unsweetened, unprocessed, non GMO and certified organic foods as close to their natural state as possible.

If you eat LESS over processed over refined carbohydrates and sugars your body is getting less bad nutrition and your body will continue CRAVING for BETTER quality nutrition. You will continue to feel hungry and unsatisfied. You need more quality nutrition and less of a quantity of bad nutrition.

We are omnivores and that means that unless we have an allergy we can eat anything which is classified as a natural food. Eat VARIED nutrient dense foods such as raw milk (pasturized milk is second best), blood sausage, eggs, nuts, meat, fish, grains, seeds, fruits and vegetables. You will feel satiated or full much sooner and WILL wind up eating a smaller quantity of food. Natural certified organic food is all good for you and that includes all natural fats, proteins, and carbohydrates which exist in whole foods.

Less than 40% of the population can eat anything including fast food and not gain weight. The rest of us were genetically programed to be on the plump side sooner or later in life and if you try to fight biology you will fail and be miserable trying unsuccessfully to reduce weight by large amounts.

Don’t be afraid to EXPERIMENT with new better foods. Try new natural organic foods and don’t be afraid that they will poison you or cause illness. They won’t. They are not weird and dangerous foods but foods which are good for you in moderation. VARIETY is the spice of life and will keep your meals healthy, interesting, and satisfying. HAPPY HEALTHY EATING!!!

I GO TO GOCOMICS.COM AND GO THROUGH ABOUT 10 OF MY FAVORITE ONES AND GET A FEW GOOD LAUGHS AND SAVE THE BEST ONES FOR SHOWING THEM TO MY GRANDCHILDREN WHEN THEY GET OLD ENOUGH TO READ.

I GO TO THE HUFFINGTON POST AND DAILYKENN.COM TO SCAN FOR ARTICLES WHICH MAY INTEREST ME AND JUST READ POLITICAL AND SOCIAL HEADLINES FOR ANY NEWS WHICH I CONSIDER NEW AND INTERESTING BUT I DON’T WASTE MY TIME READING ANY OF THE ARTICLES. SOMETIMES WHEN I FEEL LIKE IT I GO FOR 20 MINUTE FAST OR MEDIUM FAST WALKS OUTDOORS AND SOMETIMES DO SOME DEEP KNEE BENDS TO KEEP MY LEG JOINT MUSCLES IN GOOD SHAPE.

AFTER 6 AM AT ANY TIME WHEN I FEEL LIKE A PLEASURABLE DURATION I WATCH THE COLBERT NATION ON THE INTERNET.

ABOUT ONCE A DAY I VIEW ALL THE HUMANS WHO HAVE LIKED MY BLOG OR HAVE AGREED TO BECOME FOLLOWERS. FROM THEM I OFTEN GET GREAT WILDLIFE PICTURES AND NEW IDEAS TO FOLLOW UP FOR MY OWN FUTURE EVERGREEN BLOGS.

I USE GOOGLE AND BING AND INFO.COM AS SEARCH ENGINES TO FIND NEW CONCEPTS AND INFORMATION ON TOPICS I KNOW LITTLE ABOUT. I AM NEVER BORED BECAUSE I AM ALWAYS SEARCHING FOR SOMETHING NEW TO LEARN.

AT THE END OF THE MONTH I GO TO GOCOMICS.COM AND LOOK UP THE COMICS OF FIVE OF MY FAVORITE CARTOONISTS FOR A WHOLE MONTHS WORTH AND SAVE THE ONES THAT I LIKE FOR MY GRANDCHILDREN.

AT THE END OF THE MONTH I ALSO GO TO TOP40-CHARTS.COM AND SEARCH ABOUT 50 OF THE NEWEST SONGS WHICH I MIGHT WANT TO LISTEN TO. FOR ME THEY ARE USUALLY EUROPEAN ONES AND LATELY SOME HAVE BEEN FROM GERMANY AND HOLLAND AND RUSSIA AND HAVE BEEN MY FAVORITES.

WHEN I GO SHOPPING I TRY TO COMBINE TWO OR MORE STOPS ALONG THE WAY. IF I HAVE TO GO TO THE BANK I MAY ALSO STOP BY TO BUY A CARTON OF CIGARETTES OR TO BUY TWO GALLONS OF GROWTH HORMONE FREE PASTURIZED MILK AT THE PHARMACY IF I DON’T HAVE ANY RAW MILK ON HAND. I RECOMMEND YOU MAKE A LIST OF ALL THE THINGS YOU NEED OR DON’T HAVE AND THEN TRY TO SHOP FOR THEM ALL AT ONCE.

PERIODICALLY I TAKE OUT THE GARBAGE AND VACUUM THE FLOORS AND GO SHOPPING FOR FOOD WITH MY WIFE.

SINCE I DON’T SWEAT A LOT I ONLY SHOWER ABOUT ONCE EVERY THREE DAYS AND CHANGE MY CLOTHES WHEN I SHOWER. I WASH THE DISHES BY HAND ABOUT ONCE A DAY WITH VERY WARM WATER AT ABOUT 120 DEGREES FAHRENHEIT AND ONLY USE A LITTLE LIQUID SOAP WHEN MY WIFE HAS FRIED A GREASY MEAL ON THE STOVE.

DURING THE DAY WHEN I FEEL LIKE A SNACK I SHELL MY OWN VARIETY OF NUTS AND SEEDS AND A FRUIT LIKE A BANANA OR AN APPLE OR A GRAPEFRUIT OR A PAPAYA ETC. BUT I ONLY EAT ABOUT ONE THIRD OF THE FRUIT WHICH I CUT FLAT AND SAVE THE REST ON A PLATE FACE DOWN SO THE FRUIT DOESN’T SPOIL FOR FURTHER EATING.

OTHER SNACKS WHICH I EAT ARE A CAN OF OCCTOPUS OR A CAN OF BLOOD SAUSAGE FROM POLAND WHICH HAS NO ARTIFICIAL INGREDIENTS.

WHEN I’M THIRSTY I DRINK A LITTLE MILK OR MAKE A CUP OF TEA BY HEATING UP THE WATER IN THE CUP IN A MICROWAVE FOR ABOUT 2 AND A HALF MINUTES AND THEN LETTING THE TEA BAGS SOAK FOR ANOTHER FIVE MINUTES. IF I WANT TO DRINK THE TEA IMMEDIATELY I LEAVE SOME ROOM FOR SOME ICE CUBES WHICH COOL THE TEA DOWN TO A LITTLE OVER ROOM TEMPERATURE RATHER QUICKLY SO I CAN DRINK IT IMMEDIATELY.

I TRY TO EAT A HEARTY MEAL ABOUT ONCE A DAY BUT IF I HAVE SNACKED A LOT DURING THE DAY AND AM NOT HUNGRY I SKIP THE HEARTY EVENING MEAL COMPLETELY.

DURING THE DAY IF I GET VERY HUNGRY AND WANT TO MAKE SOMETHING SPEEDILY I PUT A LITTLE OATMEAL IN A BOWL AND ADD NUTS AND SEEDS AND MILK AND PUT IT INTO THE MICROWAVE FOR ABOUT 2 MINUTES WHICH MAKES THE MEAL READY TO EAT WHEN IT COMES OUT. YOU CAN ADD YOUR OWN DICED FRUIT AND BERRIES TO FLAVOR IT AND MAKE IT A LITTLE SWEET IF YOU WISH.

WHEN MY WIFE IS VERY HUNGRY DURING THE DAY WHICH IS RATHER RARE I MAKE SOME LOW SODIUM BACON AND EGGS WITH CHEESE AND MULTIGRAIN BREAD AND SERVE IT FOR  BOTH OF US.

WHEN I FEEL LIKE SOUP AND IT IS NOT A LEFTOVER SOUP WHICH MY WIFE SOMETIMES PREPARES AND FREEZES IN SINGLE PORTION SIZES I SOMETIMES MAKE LIPTON CHICKEN NOODLE SOUP BUT TO THE STORE PACKET I ADD TWO EGGS AND EXTRA NOODLES AND DICED CLAMS FROM A CAN AND SOME JARLSBURG CHEESE OR ANY OTHER CHEESE THAT REMAINS STRINGY AFTER BOILING FOR ABOUT THE LAST MINUTE OF A FOUR MINUTE SOUP BOIL. YOU CAN USE YOUR IMAGINATION AND ADD ANY KIND OF GOOD TASTING FOOD TO THE SOUP AND IT WILL ALL TASTE GOOD. I COOL DOWN THE SOUP WITH ICE CUBES SO THAT YOU CAN EAT IT RIGHT AWAY WITHOUT WAITING FOR THE HOT SOUP TO COOL! REMEMBER ADD A GOOD TASTING FOOD TO A GOOD TASTING FOOD AND THE RESULT IS GOOD TASTING FOOD. BELIEVE IT OR NOT!!!!!!

IF WE GO OUT TO A CRAFT SHOP I USUALLY WAIT IN THE CAR AND HAVE A 24 OUNCE BEER WHILE WAITING AND LISTENING TO THE RADIO. WE SOMETIMES COMBINE A TRIP TO TOWN WITH GOING TO THE FLEA MARKET ON WEEKENDS TO PICK UP SOME HONEY AND BEE POLLEN AND SEEDS AND LOCAL VEGETABLES. IF WE ARE HUNGRY WE SOMETIMES EAT OUT WHEN WE ARE IN THE NEIGBORHOOD OF CHIPOLTLE OR CHICK FIL A OR SBARRO’S. I SOMETIMES GO TO MCDONNALD’S FOR A SAUSAGE MCMUFFIN WITH EGGS AND HASHBROWNS IN THE MORNING WHEN PARTIALLY FILLING THE CAR GAS TANK WITH ABOUT 20 DOLLARS WORTH OF GAS.

WHEN MY WIFE DESIRES A SWEET TREAT WE GET DARK CHOCOLATE KITTCATS OR DARK CHOCOLATE FERRERO  OR I GO TO DUNKIN DONNUTS AND GET SOME FRENCH CRULLERS AND BOSTON CREMES AND JELLY DONNUTS.

SHE ALSO BUYS CHOCOLATE AT THE EUROPEAN OR RUSSIAN STORE WHERE I PICK UP SOME YOGURT DRINKS AND BLOOD SAUSAGE AND EGG NOODLES AND YOGURT CHEESE AND ESTONIAN SAUSAGE AND MADRIGAL CHEESE AND VIENNA WIENERS AND SHREDDED FERMENTED CABBAGE AND HERRING AND LATVIAN OR LITHUANIAN BREAD AND AMISH FARMER CHEESE AND AMISH KEFFIR AND SALMON AND AN OCCASIONAL EEL. WE EXPERIMENT WITH NEW FOODS AND IF WE FIND ONE THAT TASTES GREAT WE BUY IT AND EAT IT UNTIL WE ARE SATIATED AND DON’T WANT IT SO FREQUENTLY ANY MORE.
