THE TRUTH ABOUT SAVING***

images (1)

Save: v. to prevent with an event(s) and/or action(s) possible (injury and/or death) and/or (damage and/or destruction) and/or (embarrassment and/or usage) and/or error

You can save a human from a potentially injurious fire, an accident, from death, error, and from embarrassment or you can save a building or wilderness from damage or destruction.

You can also save money from being spent to avoid future financial ruin in an emergency. Accumulating possessions is frequently confused with saving because the real reason that you are accumulating them is to prevent them from being recycled, used, damaged, or destroyed by you or someone else.

Saving is really active prevention and if you are smart then you will personally take preventative steps to exclude the possibility of having to be saved from some hazardous situation in the future. Saving possessions from wear and tear is also what many of us commonly do.

You can save a human or yourself from making a mistake or error with some preventative step or steps.

Save energy, save wilderness, save yourself, save others when necessary, save some money, and save the world!!!!!! Money is the social symbol for energy so if you are saving some money with wise purchases of energy saving devices or saving some money for emergencies or future investments then you are saving energy!!!!!! Yes, when you save money to purchase material possessions then you are buying and using stored energy. The molecules of your possessions are filled with potential energy and have some value in your life!!!!!!

Finally save your bodily energy for the truly important things in your life and get rid of as many inefficient trivial pursuits as possible. Don’t waste your energy on fruitless boring pursuits but try to focus on those with a greater payoff in satisfaction, happiness, and some material gain.

THE TRUTH ABOUT EMBARRASSMENT

M_Id_210221_embarrassment

Embarrassment: n. sensing low intensity shame for a noncriminal subset(s)

We are embarrassed when we think we don’t look good in public,

can’t do a simple task well with someone present,

misbehave in front of parents or the public,

make a stupid mistake,

have to reveal our bad grades to someone who matters in our life,

don’t fulfill a promise when we said we would,

forget to acknowledge an important date such as a birthday or anniversary,

fail at public speaking,

make a mistake during a public performance,

have inferior goods or possessions when a comparison is made,

and a hundred and one more circumstances which show our incompetence, absence of good judgment, handicaps, and failings in life.

Some humans are not very embarrassment prone and boldly do normative embarrassing things to attract attention or just express their ego driven individuality. Some are so embarrassment prone and shy that they don’t venture into the real world of human interaction much and suffer a rather limited lifestyle as a result.

Most of us continue to do embarrassing things throughout life and get over them. Don’t let the fear of embarrassment rule too much of your life because none of us is perfect and embarrassing yourself in public once in a while will not destroy a basically good reputation if you have one.

Embarrassment is primarily a social phenomenon. Humans who are shy frequently have a fear of being embarrassed in public and so are frequently not very social.

The reasons for embarrassment are usually physical appearance, speech, inability to reach a goal, and inappropriate behavior. Humans frequently are embarrassed if they look very different from humans around them or have a physical handicap, if they have a unique dialect or have speech impediments,  if they fail in fulfilling a promise or goal, and if they are not sure how to behave in some public situations. Speaking in public is also an embarrassing situation for most humans.

Extreme shyness and anxiety in public is frequently diagnosed as an anxiety disorder and even treated with drugs or medication by psychiatrists and this is wrong because the side effects are devastating and don’t cure the embarrassing feelings. It is a fact of life that rare individuals are paranoid about going out in public but that is no reason that they should be medicated. They need radical behavior modification which unfortunately takes much time and money to cure and most can’t afford the right treatment for their paranoia.

The fear of rejection or the fear of ridicule is the real reason why humans feel embarrassment and it handicaps many humans in their relationships with the opposite sex and other humans. Shame is the common word for embarrassment but it is different because shame can be felt not only for bad behavior but also for a criminal act which is not part of embarrassing behavior.

Shame: n. sensing displeasure caused by guilt and/or unworthiness and/or disrepute and/or powerlessness to achieve a goal(s)

THE TRUTH ABOUT SHAME

shame-on-you1

Shame: n. sensing displeasure caused by guilt and/or unworthiness and/or disrepute and/or powerlessness to achieve a goal(s)

Shame can be very intense embarrassment but it is also something felt by moral humans when they do something immoral or criminal and feel some remorse or have a wish that they had never done the immoral or criminal action.

Some humans do immoral and criminal actions and don’t feel shame and some do very embarrassing things and don’t feel shame either. Humans who have an awareness of what is right and wrong and firmly believe are those who experience shame when they do something which they feel is wrong.

Finally dependable humans who promise to do things or to do things on time will frequently feel shame if they do not fulfill those goals the way that they promised.

THE TRUTH ABOUT SHAME

shame-on-you

Shame: n. sensing displeasure caused by guilt and/or unworthiness and/or disrepute and/or powerlessness to achieve a goal(s)

If you are the rare psychopath who never feels guilty, don’t care if you are held in public disrepute, don’t feel unworthy, and don’t care what humans think when you don’t achieve your goals then you can be truly called a shameless human.

If on the other hand you have a strong moral sense of what is right and wrong, want to be respected and admired, and feel bad about not achieving goals which affect others then you will experience shameful moments when you behave immorally by lying, stealing, not fulfilling promises, or committing adultery.

If you hurt another human in some way then you should feel shame and if you promise to reach a goal which affects others and don’t thus disappointing them or affecting them in a bad way then you should feel shame.

Some unfortunate humans feel shame about their lack of physical attractiveness, their accent, and physical or mental handicaps which make them feel inferior and unworthy in some way. If you personally feel that you are not normal in some way then you will probably feel some shame about it and maybe not have enough courage to overcome your deviance from normal with other good characteristics which you should be proud to display in public and private.

Feelings of inadequacy, unworthiness, or any trait which you wish you had but don’t are all sources of possible shame in your life. If you realize that no one is perfect and that each of us has more than one imperfection then you may be able to confront the world and other humans without feeling much shame and proceed with a courageous optimistic attitude.

Shame is very intense embarrassment which no one should victimize themselves with because it is a major source of unhappiness for many who care too much what others think about them. If your major source of shame is your poverty then try to do something about it or learn to live with it and try to associate yourself with other poor but happy humans.

Be honest, sincere, and reliable and you should have nothing to feel ashamed of in public and you will probably be respected and maybe even admired by many others.
