THE TRUTH ABOUT COMPLETE+

Complete: adj. having every necessary and/or normal subset(s)

Complete means having all the necessary or essential or normal subsets. You can embellish something complete with add ons or additional parts and complicate it and make a new complete set but this is often an unnecessary procedure and really doesn’t add any utilitarian functionality.

THE TRUTH ABOUT ESSENTIAL*

Essential: adj. completely needing a subset(s) for efficient (existence and/or functioning) and/or behavior

Something essential is usually something which you absolutely need for things to go smoothly or to function well. An essential part of a machine which is missing means that the machine can’t function properly if at all. Essential behaviors are not that obvious but things like showing up on time or fulfilling promises are essential things to do to avoid offending or annoying someone.

THE TRUTH ABOUT INADEQUACY*

maxresdefault (4)

Inadequacy: n. not having 100% of the requirements essential to an identified subset(s) and not achieving a goal(s)

If you can’t achieve a goal(s) then chances are great that there is some inadequacy which you will have to overcome. You may have inadequate knowledge, skills, experience, social connections, talent, or financial means to achieve your goal(s).

You can overcome your inadequacies in many cases if it is just an absence of knowledge, skills, or experience but in some cases there is no substitute for inborn talent, the right social connections, and the financial means to do it yourself or hire talented, socially connected humans to achieve your goal(s) for you.

Incomplete: adj. not having 100% of the subsets essential to an identified subset(s)

When something does not have all its parts and exists then it is said to be incomplete. It could be an incomplete painting, dress, car, machine, or you can be dressed incompletely for a formal wedding or funeral. The whole is made up with a complete set of parts and if any of them is missing or not functioning properly then the whole may be said to be incomplete.

THE TRUTH ABOUT NEED+

want-need-balance 3d

Need: v. to desire a subset(s) which is frequently essential

We may want many things which we don’t really need. Eating, drinking, clothing, and shelter may be considered to be basic needs in society and even shelter is not really a mandatory need for everyone.

Many humans want many things which will hopefully make them happy. The truth is that you can be happy if your most basic needs are met and you don’t have to have much more to be happy.

THE TRUTH ABOUT WANTS***

stock-photo-wanting-more-then-what-you-need-74116813

Want: v. to desire a subset(s) which is sometimes not essential and/or not a need

Needing is a subset of wanting and what you may want you may not actually need. Impulsive shopping is a perfect example of wanting something and buying it but not really needing it.

If we all stopped for a few moments and asked the question “do I just want it?” or “do I really need it?” then you could save much money by buying only what you need.

Do I want to be loved, admired, and respected by everyone that I meet or is it more appropriate to say that I need to be loved, admired, and respected by my spouse or closest friend. If you recognize that you can’t please everyone that you meet then you won’t create needless anxiety and fear in your life by wanting what is not important and what you really don’t need. Rid yourself of wanting the superficial and impossible things in your life.
