THE SAD HEART WRENCHING TRAGIC END OF LIFE SYMPTOMS OF A LOVED FAMILY CAT!!!

Seldom asked is the question -What happens to some cats at the end of a natural life?

The first noticeable sign of old age for about a 20 year old cat is an inability to jump as high as usual. A decrease in agility and strength is one of the first signs of getting old. Where previously it was a breeze to jump on the kitchen countertop from the floor it now becomes impossible to do and is limited to jumping no higher than a chair’s height.

Food and water are fundamental to a cat’s survival and not being able to consume food in many forms is a sign of bodily and health decline. The cat first refused to eat dry filet mignon and shrimp cat food, then had trouble eating and started choking on hand fed small thinly sliced top round roast beef and cooked ham (his favorite food), then could only eat moist semi chunked wet canned meat, and finally could only lick soft pate seafood and soft pate turkey meat. What was very noticeable was the progressive decline of eating ability and not being able to swallow any food even of a smooth pate consistency. Swallowing difficulty was an obvious fact.

Some other signs of health decline were a tongue which stuck out from the mouth and seemed a little comical but sad, salivating profusely during eating, and clumping of cat fur from self grooming with wet food and milk residue in the mouth. Half the right side of the tongue was whitish and the other half pink, the right side of the mouth or lip was a little open, and the right side of the cheek was covered with clumped blackish hair. Self grooming was bad with a disheveled overall look of the fur. An emaciated look and definitely not a pretty sight.

The whole eating procedure became very messy with bits of saliva coated food and milk spread over half the kitchen floor and about a foot up the kitchen counter cabinets and trash can which were signs that the cat was vigorously also shaking its head a lot during and after meal time. Cleanup of the wooden kitchen floor was a burdensome fifteen minute task every three days with Mr. Clean and many towels were used since a steam cleaner or soapy wet mop would still leave stuck on food residue on the floor.

Next the cat started to urinate in various spots across the house floor, peed in a counter top bowl, and even pissed in a handbag ruining it for further usage. We were afraid that soon the couch, bed, floor, and furniture in general would be damaged my urination so we isolated the feeding and roaming to the Florida room which could be closed off from the rest of the house. Because of the isolation, the tile floor of the Florida room was about 3 times easier to clean up and an open litter box could be used to observe defecation and urination patterns.

One day the cat had a biz ding crazy episode where he started to paw the floor as he drank water and started to paw the milk and water out of the bowl. This was followed by pushing the milk and water containers about a foot from their original position and spilling the contents all over the tile floor. We had two water ash trays for cigarette butts which he also pushed and spilled water out of and drank some of the contents too when there were no butts in the water. It seemed that the cat was desperately thirsty for water at that point and was frantic about drinking it from any location and even the toilet bowl.

On the day before the very end the cat was meowing about every five minutes and was pacing the floor restlessly and not sleeping. We thought that maybe the cat was in pain or felt extreme discomfort. The inability to eat or lick food of any kind, the incessant water and milk drinking failed attempts led us to feel that euthanasia and cremation at the humane society would be the best course of action to avoid further suffering and possible painful death by kidney failure, dysphagia, due to not swallowing any food and effectively starving him for three or more days.

I would often pet and groom the cat with a flea comb in my lap where he calmly would settle down and meditate for about 10 minutes at a time. On the last day before taking him to the humane society he was restless and only stayed in my lap for about 2 minutes of petting before he returned to pacing the floor or wandering into the rest of the house with the Florida room doors open.

My wife and son considered taking the cat to a veterinarian but we had heard that a friend of ours spent about 2000 dollars on her very old cat’s medical tests, diagnosis, and medication only to have to live with the tragic fact that the cat soon died about 4 days later after the trip to the vet and taking the medication and not eating. For a healthy two or three year old cat who stops eating an expensive barrage of medical test diagnoses and medication prescribed by a vet makes some sense but definitely not for a very old cat on his last legs in life.

Yes, hospice care or force feeding the cat with a tube down its throat could conceivably extend his lifespan by a few months or even a year but this is definitely not a pleasant or easily doable procedure for a cat who vigorously fights against pills being forced into the mouth. I once force fed a pet constrictor king snake who could no longer feed itself and extended its lifespan for about a year but I only had to force feed it about once a month and not every day.

The cat survived about the last three months on a diet of milk, soft pate food, and water and slept a lot, but when he stopped eating any food, stopped drinking milk, just tried to drink water, tried to poop and couldn’t, urinated infrequently and almost not at all, soft food would drop out of the mouth with grinding sounds, the desire to eat was still there but the ability to eat was gone, paced the floor without sleeping, and meowed constantly-We sensed that it was time to end it all before he suffered an agonizing death from starvation, kidney and possible liver failure. The humane society euthanasia and cremation for about a hundred bucks seemed like the right humane thing to do for a dignified death free of agonizing pain and suffering.

A sad heart wrenching end to an old cats days in this world but I really believe that we did all that was humanly possible in a loving way and made the right choice to end the cat’s life in a dignified manner free of pain and suffering. Should there be euthanasia for very old loved cats who stop eating? Definitely the right humane thing to do.

I disagree with this video on one major point and that is that organic eggs are bad for your health. Despite the fact that eggs have animal fat or cholesterol, the total nutrient balance is quite healthy since an entire chick embryo can develop from it and is not worse than nutritious well balanced whole milk and much better than fatty dairy products such as heavy whipping cream, sour cream, and butter. Of course I would not recommend eating two eggs every day of the week nor would I recommend that you eat any food to excess because each food is detrimental to your health if consumed in excess.

I highly recommend this video because the most important truth is that it tries to exclude foods with added sugar, preservatives, artificial flavors and colors. It is also true that artificial sugars in diet soda are also harmful to your overall health. Diabetes is on the increase and the big food processors don’t want you to know the real truth and it is that too much sugar and artificial sweeteners screw up a good insulin balance and overwhelms the pancreas’s ability to normalize sugar in the blood. Most diabetics can be eventually cured with a radical change in diet which reduces sugar intake to a minimum, unless of course the pancreas has been irreversibly damaged.

 

Eating bad food will not kill you if you only have it once in a while such as once a week or every two weeks. The real key to eating healthy is to try and eat organic as much as possible and eat a wide variety of foods. Since each food, especially highly processed food, has some beneficial nutrients and lacks others, you need variety. Trace minerals are also important and I would recommend that  you eat wildflower bee pollen, sea weed, or Himalayan and sea salt for trace minerals since one food alone will not give you all the nutrients that you need to stay healthy.

VETERINARIANS HAVE FINALLY CONCLUDED THAT DRY DOG AND CAT FOOD IS UNHEALTHY!!!

Historically dogs and cats were fed from moist table scraps and not overly processed pet food without the natural water content of foods and without the natural balance of nutrients in organic food.

Finally many smart veterinarians have reached the same conclusion that pets should be fed real moist preferably organic food. What will the big pet food companies do now? Probably nothing, and will continue to produce the high profit unhealthy junk food for dogs and cats and maybe will come up with phony research trying to prove there is nothing wrong with dry overly processed pet food.

In the short duration pets and humans can get away with eating and drinking substandard food and drink but in the long duration health is radically affected and future generations suffer from the eating and drinking negligence of the present generation with undesirable health problems of their own.

Other than much better health there are many more reasons to promote organic food with your hard earned dollars. You pay a little bit more for organic food but the health benefits and benefits to the environment far outweigh the slight disadvantage of slightly higher cost. Make a meal or new recipe and you find out that some member of the family does not like the meal. The solution is to fill the refrigerator with organic food such as whole milk, organic eggs, fresh fish for sushi meals or steak tartar, and fill the pantry and kitchen cabinets with organic spices, unsweetened food products, organic pasta, organic unsweetened cereals, organic unsweetened snacks such as nuts, seeds, beans, blue corn tortilla chips, quinoa chips, etc. and let each family member prepare their own food only when they are hungry. 

Stop treating offspring with candy and sweet deserts which creates an unnatural sweet tooth craving and the resultant unhealthy overload of unnatural sweetened food products on supermarket shelves. Family members can choose anything that they want to eat from the refrigerator, freezer, or pantry. No offspring will overeat again and may even be eating many times a day or snacking on what they personally like the best and not on some stupid artificial recipe which requires much frying and cooking and usually results in many greasy dishes.

As early as possible offspring should be taught to be their own personal chefs making food which they like the best from the food which you provide for the home and judiciously shop for when at the supermarket.

Let family members make their own soups with as many ingredients as possible in them with organic noodles, pasta, rice, beans, etc. that they like, diced meats and fish that they like, the organic spices which they like in the quantities that they like, with an assortment of diced organic vegetables which they like, and provide organic fruits in the open on the kitchen counter top for healthy snacking during the day. Healthy soups should be a mixture of as many tasty ingredients as possible because if you add one tasty ingredient to another the result is a tasty byproduct.

Family meals are an archaic tradition which should come to a speedy end!!!!!!

This program which aired in December 2003 can be considered to be harsh criticism of the American food industry which manufactures too many overly processed sweet foods and drinks nutritionally poor which not only promote weight gain but bad health in the form of diabetes, allergies, and many other illnesses afflicting Americans.

The government is also to blame promoting monoculture agriculture with subsidies which takes much diversity out of the food chain with a heavy emphasis on corn and soybeans. 

The result is that Americans have become stupid eaters and drinkers and are ruining their health. The solution out of this dilemma is to promote and eat as much organic food as possible and eat a wide variety of foods which can include some meat, dairy products, nuts, seeds, eggs, fruits and vegetables.

The government could greatly help by not taxing the organic food industry. No tax on organic farmers,  organic wholesalers, and organic restaurants!!!!!! We desperately need more healthy food in our diet and not the huge volume of crappy cheap food being manufactured and sold!

Humans are omnivores and that means that most can eat meat, dairy products, fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, and eggs.

Yes, some have food allergies and must stay away from certain types of seafood, peanuts, lactose, gluten, sugar, and other food ingredients or compounds. Most of us can eat almost anything and should have as large a variety of food in their diet as possible.

The two major myths floating around are that you have to eat a low fat diet to avoid getting fat and that meat is bad for you. The truth is that low fat diets frequently are high in carbohydrates and sugar which may actually make you gain more weight since you eat more of the food and get more calories into your system. Meat may contain traces of growth hormone and antibiotics and most meat is fed GMOs so it is not organic or very healthy but it won’t kill you if you have meat once in a while. If you are paranoid about it then you can eat fish or seafood instead of meat for a healthy protein and fat intake.

Trans fats or processed or hydrogenated oils or fats may be bad for you in the long duration but eating natural fat in whole foods is not unhealthy and will not cause heart attacks contrary to popular myth. In fact if you eat natural fatty foods once in a while then you will feel satiated sooner or stop eating sooner and will eat fewer calories than you will on low fat diets.

Balanced eating is the key to eating well and if you go on fad diets eating mostly one or a handful of foods then it is a lopsided unhealthy thing to be doing in the long duration. You need a healthy balance of carbohydrates, protein, fat, vitamins, minerals, and trace minerals to stay healthy and the more organic the food intake, the healthier it is for you.

If you eat a wide variety of organic food with dairy and meat too then you don’t really need food supplements or pills. To be assured that you are  getting trace minerals you can try taking some wild flower bee pollen once in a while, include some sea salt or Himalayan pink salt, or eat some seaweed.

Instead of taking a pill supplement find a natural food which contains what you think you need and get it in natural form. Not only will you be getting the vitamin or mineral that you think you need more of in a balanced way but you will be consuming other nutrients which your body needs which you aren’t even aware of.

Variety is the spice of life and it will not only make your meals interesting and not boring but you will be eating healthy even if you once in a while indulge in overly processed foods and sweet treats which some claim are bad for you. Even eating non organic fast food once in a while will not kill you or ruin your health in the long duration.

Unless it is for specialty health reasons, eating only fruits and vegetables for the rest of your life is not a very exciting prospect and a severe limitation on the pleasurable taste sensations which you can experience in a lifetime.

Humans take nutritional supplements to hopefully improve a bad diet or to try and cure some disease, illness, or nutrient deficiency. If you eat a wide variety of foods, especially organic ones, then the average human does not really need supplements and taking them daily is probably not a good idea because most supplements are just ball park estimations of necessary nutrients and you are bound to get too much of some of the nutrients which may even adversely affect your overall health.

Nothing is better than the natural balance of nutrients in real food and taking supplements too frequently will make your body adjust to unnatural nutrient intake which is probably not that healthy in the long duration. For example. Why take fish oil when you can get even greater benefits by eating fish in the first place especially if you eat the entire fish such as a sardine?

A truly scientific approach to nutritional supplements would be to analyze all the nutrients in your blood and really determine if you have any deficiencies. This kind of a comprehensive test is not available or is probably so expensive that the average human could not afford it.

Some herbs and supplements can even cause bad reactions with drugs which you may be taking so check with your doctor if you are both on drugs and supplements.

Humans wrongly assume that more is better and the more there is of a supplement then the better it is for you. Taking mega doses of vitamin C or extra vitamin D is not smart. You should instead investigate what foods have natural vitamin C or D in them and eat them or in the case a vitamin D then get a little bit of a suntan every year and get vitamin D naturally. Natural is always better and if you or your doctor determines that you need a nutrient supplement then eat a lot of the natural food with that nutrient in it.

When diseased or ill humans get desperate and they reach for a magic pill or supplements to try and solve their disease or illness. Instead, humans should start eating a wide variety of healthy organic food and some meat or whole milk for protein and fat.

Bombarding your body with a handful of nutrients is not a cure, but if lack of nutrients is a cause of your disease or illness then start eating right and start pumping your body full of natural foods which contain those nutrients and which also contain more necessary nutrients that you aren’t even aware of.

Nature knows best and if you are in bad health then start eating naturally!!!

Your body needs balanced nutrients and not lopsided supplements!!!!!!

Ideally you should quit cold turkey on bad habits, especially the very bad ones, but unfortunately you are deriving some satisfaction from them and the best realistic alternative is to cut back on them or spend less time on them and to gradually replace them with good habits.

Realize that most bad habits are not a question of yes or no or of doing them or not doing them. The real understanding and truth is that you should have as little of the bad habit in your life as possible. A little of the bad habit does not necessarily have terrible bad consequences and sometimes even a moderate dose of the bad habit is perfectly understandable and acceptable.

 

BAD HABIT: Eating too much of the wrong food:

GOOD HABIT: Eat and drink only when hungry or thirsty even if this means once a day. Start gradually replacing or adding varied organic food to your meals.

If you snack during the day or after work then try snacking on nuts, seeds, fruit, vegies, and meat jerky.

Don’t be afraid to experiment with healthy foods. If you don’t like the taste or it seems tasteless then add your favorite spices, dips, or dressings. Flavorings which you like the taste of will make almost anything healthy which you eat just as satisfying as the overly processed food and fast food which you are used to eating.

If you are hooked on sweet food then try replacing it with sweet natural fruits whenever the urge for sweet food arises. Eating chocolate once in a while or any sweet treat once in a while is not a serious health offense.

 

BAD HABIT: Talking too much

GOOD HABIT: Spend less time less frequently talking to gabby humans. Talk mostly to humans who are important in your life and spend very little time on the rest.

Learn to talk briefly, concisely, and to the point and try to listen more and talk less. Don’t be afraid to interrupt a conversation which is becoming too boring or change the subject to something more interesting.

Social media is the same thing. Limit your frequent communications to humans who are important in your life and only respond to others if they have something new or interesting which they are trying to share.

 

BAD HABIT: Going into debt or impulsive and excessive shopping

GOOD HABIT: Set aside or save about 10% of your monthly income for emergencies such as car repairs, home repairs, medical emergencies, etc. so you don’t have to go into debt.

Before you buy make sure it is something you need and not just want. Ask. Can I do without it for a week or month? If the answer is yes then don’t buy it.

Make lists of things to buy and then don’t do any impulse buying but stick to the items on your list to buy.

Check the things that you have already bought to see if they will satisfy your need to buy something. You may be surprised by how much hoarded items of clothing and kitchen items you have which can be reused again.

Learn to budget your money or break it down into categories and try not to overspend in the category on a monthly basis. If you have allocated a specific money amount for entertainment per month then try not to exceed that limit.

Try to remember the unit prices of grocery food and try to comparison shop always before making up your mind to purchase an item. Try to get the best deal or best value per price paid.

For organic food price should not be an issue because tasty organic food is always the best buy. You will pay more but usually you will eat less off it and the long duration value to your good health is priceless.

 

BAD HABIT: Being stuck in a bad job

GOOD HABIT: Switch to another employer with the same job or learn new skills and knowledge necessary for a new and better job.

 

BAD HABIT: Not sleeping enough

GOOD HABIT: Plan your sleep time so you almost always get 8 or 9 hours of sleep. Prepare for sleep by winding down before sleep with sex, calming music, meditation, a boring show, or soothing shower or bubble bath.

 

BAD HABIT: Smoking too much

GOOD HABIT: Switch to e-cigarettes or smoking a pipe or cigars or don’t inhale the cigarette smoke when you do smoke. You can also try meditation or exercise each time you have an urge to smoke and remind yourself mentally how bad smoking is for your health and well being.

 

BAD HABIT: Watching TV or gaming too much

GOOD HABIT: Be selective in what you watch and only watch something which you really like. Limit your viewing or playing time to not more than about an hour a day. Instead of TV go on the internet and try learning something new and hopefully interesting and useful.

If you are addicted to one genre such as sports then try expanding your interest into other areas such as organic gardening, landscaping, wood or metal working, 3D printing, house repairs, investment, and cars and try becoming an amateur expert on the subject.

 

BAD HABIT: Drinking alcohol too much

GOOD HABIT: Drink a wide variety of beers or low alcohol content drinks  and try drinking for the taste of it and not the buzz.

 

BAD HABIT: Too many medicines or drugs

GOOD HABIT: Start eating healthy with as much organic food as possible, drink healthy with unsweetened drinks, and get some moderate exercise.

Your body will eventually try to cure itself having the right natural chemicals and movement.

Before popping a pain pill try to discover the cause. Is it is too much stress, overwork, or doing the same thing for too long? You will frequently discover what to avoid or do differently the next time and it is far better than popping an instant cure pill which doesn’t cure anything but just masks the symptoms and may even make the situation worse with bad side effects ready for more pill “cures”.

Start replacing medications with homeopathic remedies and see if they have fewer side effects which artificial drugs are notorious for.

If you are suffering from depression or other mental problems then the solution is frequently a change in lifestyle. New and better friends and not mind altering psychiatric drugs with terrible side effects which often make the situation worse. Pills almost never address the true cause of your problems which is frequently the shitty eating and drinking, and the shitty environment and lifestyle that you are living in.

 

BAD HABIT: Living in a messy environment

GOOD HABIT: Clean up regularly and put back some order in your life. It is frequently true that a messy environment leads to a messy disorganized problem filled life.

 

BAD HABIT: Associating or interacting with bad, depressed, unhappy, pessimistic, and badly addicted friends

GOOD HABIT: Start looking for and start replacing those bad friends with optimistic, happy, and smart friends but remember that you too will have to improve yourself in the process and change to more optimism, happiness, and smartness if you want to keep those new good friends in your circle of acquaintances for longer than a day.

 

BAD HABIT:  Too much pornography 

GOOD HABIT: A sexual relationship with a significant other should be your goal. Too much pornography will ruin healthy relationships with a significant other with unrealistic sexual expectations.  The good habit is a healthy real sexual relationship with a human.

 

BAD HABIT: Too much gambling

GOOD HABIT: The gambling should be for fun and not profit. Trying to make a living from gambling is only possible for some very talented clever experts with outstanding memories who know how to beat house odds and not for those that believe gambling is just a matter of good luck or being lucky with the odds heavily against you.

 

CONCLUSION:

Many of us eventually get stuck in a rut of old bad habits which lead to a rather boring hopeless depressing situation. The key to getting out of such ruts in the first place is to maintain an active curiosity and desire to learn new things and have new experiences rather regularly.

If you have an interesting life thinking about many things, experiencing them, and keeping up to date with your knowledge then you will make an interesting conversationalist with humans that you meet. You will frequently have something in common to share or talk about.

When you stop trying to improve yourself then you begin to die as a human emotionally and sometimes even physically. Expand your intellectual horizons beyond the brainwashing media and poor role model celebrities. Do research on your own and discover some interesting topics to think and talk about. Yes, you probably will need a dictionary at first to get used to the buzzwords but once you learn what they mean the rest is rather easy.

I am interested in almost everything outside of sports and religion and have an opinion or two about almost everything. I have blogged for about two years now and have never had a dull moment even though I was on the computer researching and writing sometimes as many as 12 hours a day. Yes, I have a life outside of blogging but my blogging has helped make me a wiser man in everyday life too. Sharing this lifetime of useful knowledge is one of my ongoing passions. Enjoy!

The old expression “you are what you eat” is beginning to take on new significance and it is becoming more apparent that your gut bacteria and viruses are influencing most of the diseases or illnesses which you are battling with in your life. Auto immune disease, diabetes, heart disease, cancer, allergies, autism, mental illness, crohn’s disease, heartburn, etc. largely exist because you are not eating natural organic food in a great enough variety as part of your diet.

But more important start eating healthier as soon as possible because conclusive evidence is probably many years away and it is very hard to prove with so much of a variety of food that everyone is ingesting. No one magic food or medicinal pill will be found to cure your problem instead of only masking it so for the time being, eat as large a variety of organic food as possible. If you eat fast food then at least try to eat all the different kinds of it that you can. Variety is the spice of life and it will also keep you healthier than if you eat and drink the same thing over and over again or too frequently!

Wilderness animals and plants eat healthy natural organic food and seldom come down with diseases which debilitate them. Learn from nature, the best teacher and doctor in the whole world!

My recommendation is that you drink raw milk and not pasturized milk which destroys some vital nutrients in milk. Greg Dahlen is a weight loss success but a fanatic and I see no reason why you couldn’t include some fish, blood sausages, organic fruits and vegetables, and even meat once in a while. The Masai in Africa survive on a diet of raw milk, blood, and meat and do not have weight problems. The key is to eliminate artificially added sugars in your diet and too many high calorie carbohydrates which cause weight gain in many humans who overeat.

Raw milk alone will restore a healthy balance in your body which is needed for good health and if you have diabetes or heart disease then switching to a raw milk diet with no sugar is a very smart thing to do.

Yes, raw milk is not easily available to most humans so including some organic fruits and vegetables once a week in the diet is recommended and you can drink pasturized whole milk the rest of the week.

Here is a Ted.com talk on restoring a healthy balance of nutrients in your life but it is still a very complicated approach and may not work for you. He argues that too much fat is unhealthy but the milk fat is not unhealthy because it is the natural balance of nature for all mammals.

Yes, you can include occasional veggies and fruits in your raw milk diet but you don’t have to fear adding a little blood or meat to your diet once in a while either.

THE TRUTH ABOUT HEALING*

Usually healing is thought of as either the healing of the body or mind when in fact total healing means a healthy body and a healthy mind combined.

An unhealthy body does affect the mind in devastating ways and can lead to depression and feelings of desperation and hopelessness.

A mentally ill mind or severely addictive behaviors can ignore the vital necessity of eating healthy food and getting enough exercise and thus also cause an unhealthy body.  Add to this the bad side effects from psychiatric drugs which cause real chemical imbalances in the mind and this can even make your mental illness worse in the long duration.

You may have a dysfunctional personality brought on by childhood abuse and/or neglect and may have been victimized by bad relationships with bad humans with their own history of abuse or bad addictive behaviors.

If you are messed up mentally then chances are great that most of the humans in your life have also been messed up and you have imitated many of their bad behaviors.

Modern fast paced society expects instant healing or cures which frequently only mask the symptoms and heal or cure nothing.

Feel depressed? Pop a feel good pill or get high on a drug and get instant relief.

Feel tired? Gulp down an energy drink and get instantly energized.

Feel pain? Pop an over the counter pain killer and the pain momentarily goes away or decreases in intensity.

Do you have a non-life threatening infection? Pop an antibiotic pill. 

Do you still feel depressed, tired, or are in pain the next day? If you do then pop some more pills or drugs.

You are on a treadmill of self-destruction and you don’t even realize it and the predatory drug and predatory beverage companies are making an incredible profit at your expense and not helping your overall health one bit.

Unhealthy food and drink, not enough exercise or movement, bad childhood, bad adult friends, bad habits, and a terrible job can make your life a living nightmare.

You can’t change a bad childhood and bad habits are incredibly hard to change but you can eat healthy food and drink, get enough movement in your life, try and find better friends, and try to get or retrain for a better job.

All this will take an incredible amount of selfcontrol and determination but ultimately you are responsible for changing your life from an unhealthy to a healthy one and heal your body and mind in the process.

Stop blaming others for your bad health but start blaming yourself and then motivate yourself to do something about your bad health.

Some humans complain that they have no purpose in life.

If you eat, drink, sleep, and work then you have goals in your life and you have purpose. Sure, you may not have any earth shaking goals to achieve but you are surviving and that is a laudable goal to have.

You can always improve on your goals. If you like to eat then you can improve by eating healthier or gradually switching to eating more organic food. If you don’t like your job then you can try improving it by learning new skills and knowledge so that you qualify for a better job.

Feeling alone? Find a new friend by joining a club or organization which supports a cause or helps humans. Volunteer and you will find volunteer friends and potential friends among those whom you are trying to help.

I am semi retired so I decided to share a lifetime of knowledge by blogging.  I am learning something new almost on a daily basis and sharing the new knowledge also with my fellow bloggers.

No matter how purposeless your life seems to be you can almost always find something new to do or learn about. Don’t have purpose in your life? Start reading things which may interest you and discover a bucket list of things which you still haven’t done in your life and can still do or set as your future goals to achieve.

As long as you are setting small and/or large goals in life to achieve then you have purpose in life and if you continue to be healthy and alive then you can proceed to fulfill those purposes or goals.

Finally your purpose in life should be to live a moral life since your relationships with other humans will improve greatly. In a nutshell being moral means- except in emergency situations-don’t destroy biodiversity, don’t lie, don’t be inefficient, don’t steal, don’t commit adultery if married, and don’t murder. Follow this modern moral code and your life will improve eventually if not right away, especially with fellow humans.

7 MISTAKES HUMANS MAKE WHEN CHANGING TO BETTER BEHAVIORS!!!

It is a mistake to assume that tremendous will power over a long duration will change bad behavior.

You may have all the selfcontrol and determination in the world but if you are going to use will power alone to change to healthier eating habits then you won’t know where to start or put all that will power. You need to do some serious thinking, research, and planning before you can apply any will power to the gradual small steps which you will have to make to start on your road to healthier eating.

It is a mistake to make huge overnight changes instead of gradual steps or changes.

Suddenly overnight buying only organic food and drinks and preparing all the food at home for consumption at work and at home will probably not work because it is too great a shock to your system and you will become very confused about how and when to prepare the food.

It is much smarter to gradually introduce organic snacks into your daily routine and only gradually increase the quantity of the organic food which you add to or replace your regular eating habits with. You enjoy the taste of most of the food which you consume now and chances are it will take a relatively long time to make organic food eating as tasty and desirable in your life.

There is nothing more demotivating than having to eat organic food which sometimes doesn’t taste very good without some sauce or flavoring and forcing yourself to abandon the good tasting overly processed food which you are now probably eating.

It is a mistake to surround yourself with bad role models and an environment which reinforces the bad behaviors which you are trying to change.

If most of the humans which you associate with have unhealthy eating habits and you love to frequent fast food places and supermarkets which don’t have organic produce then the chances of changing to healthy eating habits is rather slim. You must try to surround yourself with external motivators and they are humans who are eating healthy and establishments where healthy food is sold.

It is a mistake to go cold turkey on bad behaviors but better to start some good behaviors which will gradually push out or reduce the time spent on the bad behaviors.

Gradually adding more organic food to your diet will slowly push out the overly processed food which you are eating but that doesn’t mean that you have to totally abandon processed food or can’t have any tasty deserts or no fast food at all.

It is a mistake to think that rationally knowing what to do and where to go will automatically lead to doing those things and going to places to get what you may want or need.

You may have found out which places sell organic food but don’t take the necessary next step in stocking up on some or actually buying some. Old shopping habits and eating habits are hard to change, especially if you find out that it will take a half an hour extra time to travel to an organic food place. You just may be too set in your ways or too lazy to make the extra effort needed to stock up on supplies and prefer eating and shopping at your regular place just 5 or 10 minutes away.

It is a mistake to assume that a new better behavior will be forever.

You may be eating an organic apple as a snack three times a week but this won’t last forever because you will tire of the snack and maybe want to change to an organic banana or pear instead. The beauty is that even good habits can become boring but you can usually replace them with other good habits as the need arises.

It is a mistake to assume that changing behavior is difficult or even impossible.

When you are thirsty then drink. When you are hungry then eat. To make sure that you have something to eat or drink that is healthy for you then consider a tote bag or lunch container filled with good healthy food and drink. Then when you are thirsty or hungry instantly quench your thirst and satisfy your hunger in a healthy way.

CONCLUSION:

An addiction to unhealthy eating can be replaced with an addiction to healthy eating or and addiction to both healthy and unhealthy food which is the compromise most are capable of in this society which is overly biased towards unhealthy triggers enticing us to eat unhealthy in almost every corner of existence.

If you are addicted to gambling, pornography, impulsive shopping, alcohol and drugs then you will have a harder time of replacing those bad addictive habits with new addictive good hobbies and pastimes. It is not impossible once you find out exactly which new hobbies and pastimes would interest you enough to want to commit some time to doing them to some extent for starters.

Of course the smartest thing to do would be to increase your job skills by learning new useful skills and knowledge but unfortunately this will indeed take much selfcontrol and determination since the learning process is not very rewarding for most of us and we would prefer to usually do something else and take the easy way out and do nothing.

AN EXAMPLE OF A RETURN TO BASICS IN PSYCHIATRY AND NOT PUSHING PILLS OR DRUGS!!!

I am pleased to see that a return to basics or healthy organic eating, drinking, moderate exercise, sleeping naturally, and living healthy lifestyles is being shown as a realistic alternative to pill popping of psychiatric drugs for a majority of so called sick patients with bipolar disorder. This advice should go much further and be propagandized as a potential cure for most depressions, anxiety disorders, and other vaguely defined psychiatric behavioral not chemical “disorders” unless you are talking about insufficient good chemical food nutrients and too many bad chemical food ingredients which can cause metabolic imbalances and impaired natural mental functioning.

Using artificial drugs or natural drugs in too great a quantity or for too long then you are also messing with your metabolism with a high potential for inefficient brain functioning.

This puts the responsibility of living well right back into your lap, puts much of the historical blame to a large extent on bad psychiatric advice and drugs, and reinforces the importance of the basic four priorities in life which is healthy varied nutritious organic food, healthy drinks, moderate exercise, and enough natural sleep.

What the article doesn’t say is that being honest, sincere, dependable, trustworthy, competent, somewhat caring, and faithful will improve your bad social lifestyle. Good social interaction is also important for many and is something which many don’t have. Many socially stress unnecessarily without knowing how to make improvements in relationships and suffer much mental anguish.

Yes, parents and bad role models are largely to blame for dysfunctional social lifestyles which can’t be changed overnight but even here with enough self-control, determination, and proper guidance and encouragement you can make some constructive progress even as spoiled adults. Proper guidance and encouragement takes much time, energy, and money after a crisis so don’t wait for a miracle to happen in your life because proper guidance and encouragement is reserved for the financially well off in this society. You may have to live with a shitty personality but you can be a healthy shitty personality if you don’t ignore the four basics of healthy living and it is almost a guarantee that you will have almost no health crises in your life other than injurious accidents.

Rich or poor we all need healthy food, healthy drink, moderate exercise, and enough sleep. Even if you are poor or on welfare then you can still budget your time and money and afford good food, drink, can move around, and sleep well. You may have to cut back on impulsive inefficient shopping for other life’s seeming necessities but with enough self discipline you can decrease spending on luxuries which only seem like necessities and you can decrease the quantity of food and drink consumed and concentrate on eating quality nutricious food in lesser amounts.

If you are unhealthy and stressed out or depressed and were not born that way then chances are that you are not eating healthy, drinking healthy, getting enough sleep, and not moving around enough. Even if you are a social recluse or social “failure” then you can still be a healthy one if your four primary needs are met.

Most animals in nature eat, drink, exercise, and sleep and stay healthy unless they are pack animals who depend on others for their food supply and would starve otherwise. Humans are pack animals but they seldom starve because they get fed and so are entirely capable of living on their own without having to socialize as a necessity.

Our western society is getting increasingly unhealthy and dysfunctional social behavior and addictive behaviors are frequently being blamed as the primary causes for bad health. While dysfunctional social behavior and addictions can be contributory causes to bad health the fact is that few are eating healthy food, drinking healthy, moving around enough, and getting enough sleep.

Too many artificial drugs are being used to fall asleep, feel good, escape reality, help us socialize, and mask illnesses brought on by bad nutrition causing many bad side effects which frequently lead to taking more artificial drugs to cure the incurable circumstances. Psychiatrists, drug companies, and drug pushers are making a killing selling addictive drugs with bad side effects which are then treated with more drugs.

Is insomnia one of your problems? Check the side effects of your illegal as well as legal drugs because they are notorious for disrupting your sleep habits, especially psychiatric or mind altering drugs.

Nutrient deficiencies in overly processed food, lopsided intake of sugar and artificial sweeteners, and traces of many unhealthy artificial additives resulting from factory and mono culture farming has ruined the quality of food and drink for many humans. Their number one and two priorities are not being met. The sooner we all switch to eating a wide variety of certified organic food and drinking drinks not artificially sweetened, the sooner will the health of the general population improve.

CONCLUSION:

A pill or drug to instantly solve every problem in society is the dangerous myth which is devastating so many lives in western society. If you have a dysfunctional personality then you will not find a quick fix  with a feel good drug but you can at least try to make sure that your primary four needs are being met without any artificial drugs being added to the healthy mix of the big four.

FIND AND PRACTICE GOOD HABITS TO REPLACE OR DECREASE THE BAD ONES!!!

We all have many bad habits which have become part of our everyday lives and if we eliminate them from our lives then what do we replace them with to fill the void? Replace them partially or totally with good habits.

In a nutshell the good habits are

eating and drinking healthy,

moderately exercising or moving around physically,

financial responsibility,

working smart and hard,

having good relationships with important humans in your life,

improving yourself with new useful knowledge and skills,

and taking time out to think about the priorities or goals in your life and making small adjustments as needed or drastically changing the priorities in an emergency or crisis situation.

In a nutshell the bad habits are

eating and drinking unhealthy,

not exercising or moving around much,

financial irresponsibility,

working stupidly or doing the minimum amount of work,

having bad relationships with important humans in your life,

not improving yourself with new useful knowledge and skills,

not taking time out to think about and readjust the priorities or goals in your life,

not being prepared for emergency or crisis situations,

and being trapped in bad addictive chemical behaviors.

Addiction: n. compulsively desiring a subset(s)

Addictions are usually thought of as addictions to a chemical substance frequently accompanied by severe withdrawal symptoms but processed food and drinks are also filled with lopsided chemicals some of which humans are addicted to such as sugar, caffeine, and carbohydrates. The withdrawal symptoms are sometimes increased anxiety and cravings for the food or drink.

I like to think of important bad habits as addictions to important bad behaviors with withdrawal symptoms similar to food and drink or noticeable increases in anxiety or craving for the bad behavior. The truth is that good habits are also addictions which you can develop a craving for. The choice is yours. Which addictions do you want in your life?

Sexual and gambling addictions or compulsions can do much harm to their addicts who definitely develop cravings for the bad behavior habits when isolated from them. Not everyone gets addicted to compulsive shopping, promiscuity, pornography, or gambling so if one does it a little or sometimes does some in moderation then it can’t be considered to be an addiction or bad behavior all the time or in every instance.

In a crisis situation you may have to go cold turkey or exclude the bad habit completely from your life. Realistically most bad habits are eliminated or reduced in small steps with good habits eventually getting lengthier time wise and more frequent and gradually replacing the old bad habits.

If you are eating unhealthy then start introducing tasty healthy organic snacks and eventually tasty healthy organic ingredients into your meals. Even organic food and drinks are not always tasty so feel free to add your own spices and sugar free sauces to the organic food and drink to suit your taste.

Keep gradually increasing the frequency and quantity of the organic food and drink. Eventually the tasty healthy organic food and drink will replace much of the unhealthy food and drink in your life if you unrelentingly persist in your goal of more healthy eating.

Sure society is so structured that becoming an organic fanatic is not only expensive but hard to do, especially with meat, and if you indulge in unhealthy eating once in a while then don’t feel guilty about it because it will not kill you or ruin your health dramatically.

Unfortunately the herd instinct or doing what others around you are doing is a very compelling force and it is very hard to overcome. This is why you should seriously consider finding new best friends with more good habits which you hope to get and leave behind your old best friends with the old bad habits which you have and want to get rid of.

If your best friends eat unhealthy, don’t exercise, are financially irresponsible, don’t like to work, have bad relationships with important humans, and have severe chemical or behavioral addictions or compulsions then the chances are that you will never rid yourself or decrease those bad habits in your life.

Birds of a feather tend to flock together and if you find yourself a member of a group of humans addicted to many bad habits then the situation for improvement is hopeless unless you miraculously become an independent selfmotivated good habit fanatic and live a life of relative seclusion or isolation.

Many humans have large egos and feel that they have almost no bad habits to get rid of. Knowing what a bad habit is or selfawareness is the first step on the road to a better you!!!!!!

Even after selfawareness you may feel that you are getting too much pleasure or satisfaction from your bad habits to want to change them. That is why the freedom to choose is such a heavy personal responsibility for all adult humans and many choose wrongly in the short duration and end up in misery in the long duration with bad health, financial bankruptcy, bad relationships, a bad lifestyle, and sometimes even death.

All good and bad habits start in childhood so you are truly at an unfair or unjust advantage if you have parents, relatives, childhood friends, and teachers with many good habits who serve as good role models.

Wilderness: n. nature real estate minimally changed by humans

Wilderness is a vital safety net of biodiversity for future humanity when domesticated plants and animals will no longer be healthy food for consumption due to irresponsible interference by technology which emphasizes short duration profit, the use of too many artificial chemicals, and monoculture to grow domesticated plants and animals.

Not only that but emphasis on the growing of very few species in great numbers runs the risk of long duration famine when those few species become devastated by pests and disease and can no longer be grown safely and economically for human consumption.

We will need healthy biodiverse animals and plants from the wilderness to make our food supply healthy again so it doesn’t devastate the health of humans as it is already doing in ever increasing numbers. Overly processed food which is not organic is also a large contributing factor to bad food but once you destroy the foundation of healthy organic plants and animals there are no quick fixes possible any more to reverse the unhealthy trends and unhealthy food supply whose DNA is irreversibly damaged.

A smart human generation should promote certified organic farming and protect and even expand wilderness real estate for the long duration survival of humanity on the face of this endangered precious planet earth.

Untested  GMO’s are the biggest threat to healthy plant and animal DNA because they select plants and animals based on so few criteria such as size, fat content, rate of growth, crop yields, and herbicide and generalized pest resistance when there are hundreds of traits which should be selected for to make a truly healthy food for human consumption. Myopic short duration selection is devastating the health of the current food supply and we will all suffer from the irresponsible behavior in the long duration.

Bees are already dying in huge numbers all proving that current growing methods and altered DNA is injurious to animal health and it is also unquestioningly dangerously affecting human health in the long duration.

CAUTION: MISLEADING FOOD LABELS WITH HEALTH BUZZWORDS!!!

Beware of foods labeled with seemingly healthy buzzwords such as antioxidant, immune support, heart healthy, natural, gluten free, organic, whole grain, sugar free, low fat, etc. all of which are designed to sell you frequently basically unhealthy lopsided processed food which is not certified organic or pure highly nutritious food without undesirable chemicals included.

Educating yourself on what ingredients are healthy and which are not takes more skill than just reading buzzwords and making impulsive decisions based on only one or two words which sound healthy but are really deceptions.

If you feel helpless and don’t know what to do at least read the ingredients listed and Google them to find out if they naturally exist in the food or are unnecessary artificial and potentially unhealthy additives.

There is always room for improvement in this world. Improve humans, organizations, nations, technology, and the world.

Improving humans means reproducing healthier and smarter humans in greater numbers than the unhealthy and not so smart. Organic food, moderate exercise, birth control, and abortion will make present and future generations healthier.

Polygamy for the very rich, much more technological and scientific education, an improved logical language, and individualized interactive audio visual computer education for rich and poor offspring will make society and future generations much smarter than it currently is.

A new updated secular moral code taught to all impressionable young minds, just simplified taxation, elimination of special interest laws, a more logical language, and a reformed welfare system with a safety net for all destitute and also unemployed at any age is what is necessary to improve the peaceful and just interaction of humans worldwide.

THE TRUTH ABOUT HEARTBURN

Too much acid in the stomach which frequently travels up the esophagus and sometimes enters the throat is a sign of heartburn or acid reflux. To reduce it don’t eat spicy foods or foods which cause it that you are aware of. Monitor what you eat and make a connection between what you eat and the heartburn.

Sometimes heartburn is caused by lying down after a meal or spending too much time in bed after a meal. Wait at least three or two hours before lying down if you find that you get heartburn for that reason.

Sometimes drinking too much beer of the wrong kind and too much acidic orange juice can also be the cause of mild heartburn so even monitor what you drink and try to make connections between the drink and heartburn.

As long as you don’t use it frequently you can try neutralizing stomach acid with a little baking soda or bicarbonate mixed with water to quickly reduce the amount of acid in your stomach. Sometimes chewing gum with bicarbonate in it may reduce mild heartburn symptoms by neutralizing some acid. Using anti acid medications too frequently will cause your stomach to become more acidic and it doesn’t really cure the cause which is eating the wrong foods or eating too much which generates too much acid in your stomach.

Most heartburn can be cured by avoiding the wrong foods, not lying down after a meal, and sometimes just loosening a belt which causes stomach pressure.

Some feel that there is a connection between much stress or traumatic incidents and heartburn. However, the amount of acid in the stomach has not been shown to increase under stress scientifically so it may be a psychological myth that stress causes heartburn.

THE TRUTH ABOUT COMFORT

Comfort: v. to sense mild pleasure without stress and/or anxiety and/or pain

When we are without stress, anxiety, and pain most of us feel comfortable although some may want to add having creature comforts like a nice bed, nice meal, comforting music, a house with appliances as also being necessary to feel comfortable in ones surroundings.

Most of us enjoy a comfortable feeling but others thrive on activity and stress and don’t enjoy comfort as much as most of us. Those who don’t like comfort may in fact feel guilty or uneasy if they are not constantly engaged in some kind of activity and they are frequently hyperactive personalities.

For those of us with much stress in our lives, much anxiety, and even pain it is a smart thing to try and relax for at least an hour or two before bedtime in relative comfort and to get plenty of sleep to recharge our bodies with energy for the next day’s dose of activity. Resting in mental and physical comfort a little during the day with meditation or before bedtime is a good way to balance an otherwise hectic life.

Some of us enjoy a comfortable life so much that we are not willing to take on new responsibilities or experience new things which would improve our lives. Those who love comfort too much are usually not that ambitious and are frequently satisfied with a status quo existence.

It is generally true that lazy humans enjoy comfort more than the rest of us.

Culture: n. the normative knowledge and/or experience and/or beliefs and/or attitudes and/or morals of a group of humans

What is the difference between cultures? They basically eat different food, some dress radically different, some are industrialized and some are largely still agrarian, some have different beliefs or moral codes, have different customs, and they speak different languages or with a different dialect.

The desires, needs, and wants of the humans are basically the same. They want water, food, clothing, shelter, transportation, some want offspring, many want a job or work, and many want an opportunity to have a better life.

The standard of living in different cultures is varied with some leading a relatively leisurely life and others struggling to survive at bare subsistence levels with even starvation and death being a daily preoccupation.

World unity is handicapped primarily because of cultural bias and the differing political systems which rule over them.

Big money is trying to unify and rule the world but unfortunately there needs to be a unified secular morality and uniform rules for behavior which are reflected in similar constitutions.

Nations are now competing against one another as are cultures and the only way to truly unify them is with a common language and a political unity of poor nations with rich ones.

“Divide and conquer” should be replaced with a battle cry of “unite politically and conquer” so that the most prosperous economies can absorb the least prosperous ones and unify the world at a faster clip than it is happening already.

Biodiversity and human survival on the face of this precious planet is at stake and the last thing we need is competing divided nations devastating their natural resources to the max trying to survive and raise living standards in the global economy with an increasing national human population.

THE TRUTH ABOUT RECIPES

A recipe should taste good for you and if you don’t like it then you can subtract, add, or replace ingredients with something which you like the taste of. You can also try adding more or less of an ingredient to suit your taste, especially if it is a spice.

Salads can be very bland and salad dressing alone may be rather inadequate to satisfy your taste buds. Consider adding tasty ingredients which you may like such as diced vegetables, meat chunks, cheese, eggs, fresh bread chunks, rice, beans, nuts, seeds, fruit chunks, and yogurt and turn a bland salad into a very tasty meal.

Remember, adding a good tasting food to a good tasting food results in good tasting food no matter how strange the combination might seem to you. Don’t be afraid to experiment and remember good food will not poison you if you come up with an unusual mix which many dogmatic humans will impulsively criticize.

Don’t be afraid of social disapproval if it is a new recipe which tastes good to you. Try chicken AND beef AND pork noodle soup or three meats in one soup. It tastes delicious!!!!!!

We are omnivores and that means that we can mix anything together and eat it without bad side effects. Yes, you may want to avoid mixing milk with lemon juice but the curding which you get by doing so will not poison you or taste that bad.

If you see an ingredient in a recipe which you don’t like then exclude it or substitute it with something which you like the taste of. If you don’t like a vegetable or fruit then replace it with a vegetable or fruit which you like. If the recipe calls for wheat flour then you can frequently replace it with another kind of flour like rice or amaranth flour. If you don’t like pork then substitute chicken, beef, duck, etc.

Replace a spice with one you like the taste of or just use a pinch of it which will not be detected by your taste buds in most cases. I have added a pinch of up to 20 spices which I like and don’t like to soups and the soup still tastes delicious and you get the benefits of up to twenty spices with trace minerals and their good health benefits. Believe it or not!!!

Don’t be afraid to experiment with recipes and all that you have to do is add, subtract, or replace one or more ingredients to come up with a recipe which tastes good to you or even your spouse and offspring.

THE TRUTH ABOUT CONSERVATION

Conservation: n. protecting and expanding biodiversity with more real estate and/or protecting a subset(s) from change

Humanity desperately needs to practice conservation which is the protection and even expansion of wilderness areas throughout the world. Biodiversity is what we came from and to destroy it means to destroy a safety net of healthy animals and plants which we will need when our domestic food supply becomes so polluted and unhealthy for consumption that it will have to be replaced by new healthy food which has withstood the test of time.

One or two seed banks in a mountain cave of all the food plants in the world is just not an acceptable safety net or potential replacement for a bankrupt unhealthy food supply of the future.

Humans selecting dog and cat breeds based on a handful of parameters such as size and beauty has resulted in many unhealthy breeds with urinary problems, skeletal defects, and general all around unhealthiness.

Humans selecting food plants and animals for a handful of desirable traits such as size, beauty, taste,  uniformity of color, fat content, udder size, pesticide and fungicide resistance has resulted in many species unable to reproduce in the wild and unable to reproduce without artificial insemination.

Species totally dependent on humans for propagation is a danger sign and even more problematic and untested is the long duration bad influence of these Frankenstein GMO crops and animals on human metabolism and DNA from generation to generation.

Humans are just not smarter than nature which selects for a thousand and one desirable traits in plants and animals and has tested them for generations on this precious planet and found them to be the most hardy, efficient, and healthy. Untested plants and animals can in reality be considered to be a form of biological pollution which is a very risky crap shoot playing with our long duration health.

What can you do to conserve our healthy food supply for future generations?

Buy as much certified organic plant and animal food as you can afford and tell others to do so too.

Give money to conservation organizations such as the World Wildlife Fund, The Nature Conservancy, The Sierra Club, Natural Resources Defense Council, The Audubon Society, etc. and propagandize the need for conservation of biodiversity to all your friends and family members.

THE TRUTH ABOUT MEAT AND MILK

It may not be obvious that the quality of our meat and milk is decreasing with every year and the use of disease promoting industrial confinement of livestock to small spaces, GMO feed, antibiotics, growth hormones, artificial insemination, and other artificial additives to meat are going to lead to bad health for present and future generations.

Here is a Popsci article which shows how quality can be maintained in a sustainable way and produce healthy quality meat and milk in the process. I look forward to the day when raw milk with all its nutrient value will hit grocery shelves and not be labeled as food just for pets and the paranoia of bad meat for human consumption will be a bad historical nightmare no longer lingering in our minds and fearful dreams.

Certified organic meat and milk will be available to most for a much healthier lifestyle of eating.

3 STEPS TO CURING YOUR IMPULSIVE SPENDING!!!

Before you buy anything take a few moments off and ask yourself.  Is it something that I WANT or is it something which I NEED?

If it’s something that you WANT but don’t NEED then don’t buy it! To determine whether it is something which you NEED ask yourself another question. Can I do without it for a day, week, month, or year? If you can do without it for a week, month, or year then don’t buy it!

If you do need it then take a few moments off and ask yourself. Is it the best price for the product or can I get a better value at a cheaper price elsewhere? Being aware of how much that you are actually paying for something is good to keep track of because your mind will get accustomed to working with numbers in your head which are very important when making purchasing decisions.

Food is the only purchase where quality is more important than a cheap price because your health will suffer in the long duration if you eat unhealthy, over processed, sugar enriched foods and drinks. Buying food and household items in bulk will be a cheaper alternative than buying small portions or amounts.

Your best bet is to buy as much certified organic food as you can afford and if you are addicted to fast food then at least patronize more than one fast food outlet and get a variety of junk food in your diet.

Of course the smartest thing to do would be to patronize a Chipotle Mexican Grill fast food restaurant where some of the food is organic.

Few enjoy keeping track of their spending figures or don’t know how to BUDGET their money. Ultimately if you want to truly control your spending habits with CERTAINTY then you should take the time out to Google or Bing budgeting and learn how to do it. If you have a calculator and basic adding and subtracting skills then about a half hour a month is all that you will need to track your spending accurately.

CONCLUSION:

With the exception of food purchases, unless it is food or drink impulse buying at a gas station, ask yourself do I WANT it or NEED it? If you don’t NEED it then don’t buy it. Get the cheapest price by trying to memorize approximate costs and buy in bulk where possible. To completely cure yourself of impulsive spending learn to budget your money and stick to your spending limits on a weekly, biweekly, or monthly basis!!!!!!

A HANDFUL OF COMPANIES ARE TRYING TO CONTROL THE FUTURE WORLD FOOD SUPPLY WITH GMO’S

Independent seed companies no longer exist in the US and a handful of companies are controlling the production and use of patented GMO seeds worldwide. Control the food supply and you control the humans who are dependent on it.

Terminator seeds are seeds which self-destruct after harvest and can’t be replanted and there is a type of GMO corn which was produced which caused infertility in males. These are just a few of the scary results when you diabolically play around with DNA.

The very wealthy elite do not eat GMO food but consume the organic variety.

Harvest GMO yields are not any bigger than with regular seeds and they are not a solution for increasing the food supply to a growing worldwide population.

What is the point of all this?

Well there is the possibility that in the future the unhealthy food supply will be used to control human overpopulation in an undiscriminating way worldwide.

The aim is to monopolize agriculture worldwide with patented GMO seeds.

CONCLUSION:

A biodiverse natural food supply is vital to long duration survival. Monoculture GMO agriculture is a threat to the long duration health of humans in this world and if you are smart then you will support certified organic food with your hard earned dollars, eat as much of it as you can, and guarantee that your long duration health will be optimized.

THE TRUTH ABOUT FOOD

Eat as much unprocessed certified organic food in all its varieties as you can afford. If you do like soups or meat medium rare then cook them as minimally as possible. To get micronutrients in your diet add a wide variety of spices in barely detectable quantities to your food or take a teaspoon of bee pollen once in a while.

Don’t fall for the myth of low fat, low carbohydrate, low protein food being good for you or some heavy emphasis on a one food diet fad. You should eat and experiment with a wide variety of foods rich in fats, proteins, and carbohydrates because you need all three categories to stay healthy. Don’t just over eat the few overly processed foods which you are addicted to.

Unless you are allergic to one kind of food eat EVERYTHING whose taste is not repulsive to you. That includes some processed foods once in a while and your eating will never become boring or unhealthy and you will need no unnatural food supplements in lopsided unnatural quantities!!!!!!

Get over the myth that certain foods will help you to lose weight. They won’t and the only way that you will lose weight is to go on a permanent starvation diet which means eating less than what your body is demanding. Take diet pills to reduce weight or eat just a handful of fad diet foods and you will ruin your metabolism and health in the long duration and never lose any weight permanently.

Finally eat ONLY WHEN YOU ARE HUNGRY and that may mean only one varied meal a day or every two days. It is a myth that sedentary humans need to eat three times a day or many small amounts of food five or six times a day.

CONCLUSION:

Stop being a fanatic or paranoid about the food which may contain pesticides, herbicides, GMO’s, antibiotics, growth hormones, preservatives, etc. If you do eat some of these foods occasionally it will not destroy your health or metabolism in the long duration. Stick with certified organic food as much as possible but you don’t have to make eating them an absolute rule in your life because you will be passing up a few of life’s tasty processed sweet food treats such as chocolate and deserts.

EXCESS IN A BELIEVED “HEALTHY” HABIT CAN ACTUALLY BE BAD FOR YOUR HEALTH IN THE LONG DURATION!!!!!!

Take too much of a vitamin supplement, drink too much water, exercise too much, exclude too many foods from your diet, brush your teeth too much, shampoo your hair too much, get too much sunlight, and basically do too much of any “healthy” habit and you will probably cause long duration health problems.

This is an optimistic way of looking at poverty. No matter how poor you are, if you have good food and good health, you are fortunate.

You can fool humans some of the time, but you can’t fool them all of the time.

 

Another way of putting it is that you can try to lie to humans some of the time but if you lie to them too frequently then they will no longer believe you. There is an exception even to this general principle because you can lie to lottery players that they will get megabucks and no matter how many times they lose they still will be fooled into thinking that they can win the jackpot the next time around.

A promise is a debt

 

This is an interesting way of looking at a promise because promising means fulfilling an obligation at some point in the future and a debt is similar because it is also an obligation to be paid back at some point in the future.

Food is no more important than wisdom.

 

Without food you die so it is a higher priority or more important than wisdom.  You can live without much wisdom and still survive with food.

 

When in Rome do as the Romans do.

 

When living in a foreign culture try to behave like they expect you to behave.  You can also be yourself, but expect to be looked at in a suspicious way.

 

In politics we presume that everyone who knows how to get votes, based on looks and eloquence, knows how to administer a city or a state.  When we are ill.. we do not ask for the handsomest physician, or the most eloquent one.

 

It is a fact of modern political life that the best looking smooth talking politicians get the people’s votes and true qualifications for the job seldom enter the picture. This is the bad result of a social glorification of beauty and not smarts.

 

No one is truly free, they are a slave to wealth, fortune, the law, or other people restraining them from acting according to their will.

 

The truth is that we are only free to function within the limits set by our finances, laws, and acceptable social behavior.

Four snippets of good advice:

1.     If at first you don’t succeed, there is a reason why and until you figure out that reason, you will not succeed.

 2.     If you want to succeed at something that requires an excellent memory or an inborn talent, you will not succeed no matter how hard you try and you might burn yourself out in the fruitless effort.

 3.     If you struggle with a situation, but never learn the underlying lesson or never learn to avoid it, it will come back to you over and over again until you learn to deal with it or avoid it.

 4.     If you think your life is just okay, then you still have more to learn about how you really should be living and experiencing life.

You probably didn’t know that cellulose or wood is added to or used as a non-nutritional filler in some foods for texture and it costs about 30% of the cost of real flour.

Burger meat is frequently treated with ammonia gas to kill germs.

100% orange juice, not from concentrate, is frequently kept bottled for as long as a year and has flavor packets added to flavor what is a rather tasteless orange juice product naturally.

Artificial blueberries are added to some yogurts and cereals.

Free range chickens are actually being grown in huge warehouses.

Some companies have bogus claims for health benefits such as heart, coronary, and cardiovascular health without any scientific backing. Foods claim to support immunity whatever that is supposed to mean and once again with no scientific proof.
