THE TRUTH ABOUT BOISTEROUS+

Boisterous

Boisterous: adj. loud and noisy and energetic and impulsive behavior(s)

Offspring can be boisterous on their own but frequently boisterousness is associated with a loud, noisy, energetic, and impulsive adult crowd of humans such as the boisterousness of a traditional packed bar or drinking establishment.

THE TRUTH ABOUT SELFRESTRAINT+

Self_Restraint__225x300

Selfrestraint: n. preventing and/or changing one’s frequent mostly impulsive normal behavior

How frequently have you been tempted to call someone and asshole or idiot and stopped yourself at the last moment? As a young child we frequently wanted to and even did physically fight back for personal insults and the only reason that adults don’t fight as much physically is that they have learned selfrestraint when attacked socially.

Trying to control or change your usual mostly impulsive defensive behavior is not easy and if you have done so then you have demonstrated selfrestraint.

Insults can slip out very easily and there are probably many times that you wish you hadn’t said something which you vocalized that hurt someone’s feelings. Being silent or not reacting at all is sometimes the best but hardest thing to do and is an example of selfrestraint which politically is called passive resistance.

Selfrestraint is common in public behavior and that is why many find relief in being at home, not being selfrestrained, and doing and saying what we want to do and say impulsively without the fear of being judged publicly for our sometimes deviant private behavior.

Private behavior can easily become public behavior if we are not on guard and being bluntly honest about everything we do or say in our own personal way. Letting it all hang out in public is sometimes not the wisest of choices and selfrestraint is definitely needed.

THE TRUTH ABOUT UNCONSCIOUSNESS***

Freud_unconscious_iceberg

Unconsciousness: n. not sensing and not thinking but includes impulsive brain activity which is not sensed and unremembered dreaming

Unsensed brain activity when you are asleep and autonomic nervous system functioning of the heart, kidneys, liver, and stomach while awake can be considered unconsciousness. A dream which you remember or stomach pain and rapid heartbeat awareness can’t be considered to be unconscious behavior.

Impulsive behavior while awake originates in sub conscious impulses but it is usually not considered unconscious behavior since it exists while you are awake and effectively you are conscious of every move that you make or think about.

Some may argue that sub conscious and unconscious brain activity is really one and the same thing because we have no control over it and the brain activity just happens without actual control over it. Sub conscious brain impulses happen while you are awake and unconscious brain impulses basically happen when you are asleep so there is a subtle difference.

Unconscious and sub conscious brain activity plays a very important part in our lives and our impulsive behavior originates from the activity which controls most of the good and bad habits which we have little conscious control over until we decide to change them.

The autonomic nervous system in control of breathing, heartbeat, and digestion does everything unconsciously as far as we are concerned. While we are asleep there is unremembered dreaming going on and other brain activity which is all unconscious activity since we are not directly aware of it. While we are alive there is an unconscious part of the brain which is working and it ceases to work when we die.

Boxers can knock one another out into unconsciousness and brain concussions are frequently cases of sudden unconsciousness which can last a long duration and rarely permanently.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN PROACTIVE AND REACTIVE BEHAVIOR?

circle of control example

Proactive adj. trying to logically control the probability of a future event(s) by making a goal(s) and planning to achieve samer goal(s) and doing an action(s) to achieve samer goal(s)

Reactive: adj. causing an action(s) by a subset(s) after impacting samer subset(s)

Proactive behavior is not the opposite or antonym of reactive behavior because frequently proactive behavior has large reactive subsets. No one is totally logical using much reason to plan ahead but makes many reactive decisions based on past experience, knowledge, skills, beliefs, and opinions to try and project into the future and optimize the probability of desired results with personal and directed group action(s).

Few humans have the luxury of time to logically and rationally think about and gather appropriate information on how future events could be controlled to get desired results. The smarter you are and the more logical your work and responsibilities are the more proactive a percentage you exhibit in your behavior(s) and you gradually decrease the amount of reactively abundant personal largely impulsive behavior.

Finally trying to accurately detect and then control the emotions of humans is largely an impulsive reactive skill learned from an abundance of experiences with humans in similar situations. Emotional IQ is largely reactive with little need for logical thinking and is vital to leading most human motivational effort. Being proactive emotionally is largely an absurdity unless you are dealing with motivational public or private proactive plans or skills to get desirable emotional reactions at a future time from your captive audience.

Proactivity is basically an attempt at responsibly setting goals, planning to achieve them, and doing your best to achieve those goals in an active way with or without the help of other humans.

THE TRUTH ABOUT EMOTION

????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Emotion: n. a very intense mental and/or brain sensation and/or the behaviors which exist with samer sensation

We are a human species very susceptible to emotional flare ups which come and go with various degrees of intensity of primarily fear, love, and hate. We fear that we will not survive physically and mentally with all our beliefs, opinions, and habitual behaviors and we are constantly trying to defend them largely impulsively and rarely rationally.

The language biases us in favor of a highly emotional existence rather than a logical one and until we change the way that we use language we will wallow in our emotional irrational biases. We intuitively feel that the conservation of our emotionally biased personal world view is vital to our physical and mental survival.

Intuition and impulsive behavior primarily guides most of our lives which is based on prior experiences with the environment and especially other humans with which we have interacted with in our past. Many of us are handicapped with less than perfect looks, mediocre memories, bad role models, mediocre education, and financially relatively poor resources.

Many of us are trapped with many bad habits and relatively bad relationships with other humans and we are emotionally conditioned to stay in our traps because our emotions frequently don’t sense a logical way out of our limiting predicament. Human competition is everywhere and we are constantly reminded by society that we are much less than ideal role models physically, educationally, mentally, and financially.

There are the relatively few in leadership positions and most of us are the gullible irrational brainwashed followers in an increasingly immoral human world which is rapidly destroying biodiversity and in the process threatening the long duration survival of humans on the face of this precious endangered planet.

A primary reason why humanity is so shitty is that an emotional language and emotional indoctrination is used to condition humans who then mostly behave irrationally in their lives almost randomly experimenting with life without seeing much purpose and not logically planning successful courses of action for their lives and setting good goals in life.

An emotional overdose of free expression is largely a western predicament because other parts of the world are still largely regimented with minimal freedom to let their emotions run wild in society but the emotions still trap them to live the limiting lives which they live.

The language needs a logical updating and young humans need to be indoctrinated with a secular moral code worldwide if this world has any hope of surviving into the distant future in a healthy, sane, peaceful, and environmentally sustainable way.

THE TRUTH ABOUT BAD HABITS

66-Live-With-Your-Bad-Habits

You can keep a bad habit, spend less time on it, change to a bad habit which isn’t so bad, or replace it partially or totally with a good habit(s).

You are probably not aware of many of the bad habits which you have and the bad habits which you are aware of are giving you some satisfaction in your life so you are probably reluctant to change them or can’t change them because you are addicted to them. Your bad habits are largely impulsive emotionally driven behaviors which you don’t think much about logically before you do them and they are very hard to change.

Assume that you become aware of a bad habit and you then decide that you would like to change it. How do you proceed?

Stopping cold turkey is one way but unless it is fear of death or severe social embarrassment it frequently leads to failure. Replacing a bad habit with a new good one is also problematic because practicing a new good habit takes from 10 to 30 days or more to become a reliable good habit.  Replacing a bad habit with a good one which you already have can be more successful. Having a motivating friend, spouse, or support group may also help in your desire to change.

Adult humans with bad eating habits and behaviors are hard to change so it is important that you avoid them as offspring so that they don’t plague you into adulthood. Good role model parents, offspring, and adults are vital to minimizing the total amount of bad habits which you wind up with in life. Sometimes only near death or financial disaster will cure you of an addiction to drugs or profligate impulsive over spending.

Terrible or very bad habits are lying, stealing, and adultery which are also immoral. Do any of these things and a trusting healthy relationship with another human is not possible and you will wallow in unhappiness and misery unless you change and switch to honest faithful relationships.

CONCLUSION:

Eliminating a bad habit by going cold turkey, by replacing it with a new good habit, by replacing it with an old good habit, by replacing it in small steps or spending less and less time on the bad habit are all constructive ways of doing it with varying degrees of success.

What you really need is courageous determined self-motivation or a fear of a bad habit to get you to change to something better. It is basically up to you and your support group and if you fail then you only have yourself to ultimately blame for your failure to improve and partially or entirely exclude your bad habits!!!!!!

Some important bad habits which you should try to change are unhealthy eating, over working, gambling, pornography, impulse buying or shopping, unreliability, arguing, talking too much, and wasting time, energy, and money on trivial things.

Lying, deceiving, or adultery is also immoral behavior and not just a bad habit which is guaranteed to cause misery in your life.

Finally, not reading anything new and useful is a bad habit because it prevents you from being motivated by new knowledge which may be helpful in dealing with your old bad habits.
