THE TRUTH ABOUT INNOCENCE*

Innocence2004

Innocence: n. absence of guilt and/or knowledge about a criminal and/or sexual subset(s)

An innocent bystander is one who may or may not have witnessed a crime and is close enough to the action to be considered a potential criminal participant.

Childhood innocence sometimes refers to sexual themes which they may not understand or have never been exposed to. It also refers to certain blatantly honest remarks by children about humans which would ordinarily offend them in public. You are mean, you look funny, you are fat, that’s an ugly dress, and your breath smells are just a few of the honest comments innocent children say which offends others, especially adults.

An innocent victim of a prosecution is basically a human defendant who is not guilty of the crime that he or she has been accused of by the plaintiff(s).

THE TRUTH ABOUT VERDICTS+

images

Verdict: n. formal recorded judgment of a jury of peers and/or judge by communicating guilty or not guilty on different count(s) presented during a criminal and/or civil prosecution

With an official verdict you are guilty or innocent of a legal prosecution.

I foresee a time in the future when someone will be declared 60% to 80% guilty or innocent of an official offense because the reality is that you may only be a percent guilty of an offense or not guilty of it by a percentage.

The yes or no approach to justice these days is frequently unjust and I look forward to the day when computer judges will hand down percentage guilty or innocent verdicts too because in life there is in reality no certainty all the time and it is frequently an attempt to fit a round peg into a square hole to use a geometric analogy.

An example: You quickly went through a red light with no cars on the intersection and no speeding cars 100 meters from both left and right sides of the intersection. You are guilty only for about 1% of the crime of going through a red light and should be fined 99% less by an observing camera or no fine at all should be assessed! That is true real justice and will increase the efficiency of too much traffic congestion and waiting and wasting gasoline without probable cause for “endangering the safety of” the public!

Waiting for a light to change from red to green at night at about 3 in the morning with no visible traffic for 100 meters is also not a crime with a probable cause for “endangering the safety of” the public!

THE TRUTH ABOUT NAIVETE***

2745886866_1

Naivete: n. a relatively small quantity of real experience and/or knowledge with innocent simplicity and/or honesty which makes one seem foolish

Offspring can be considered to be naïve because they lack worldly experience and are frequently very honest and don’t hide their feelings and opinions the way that many adults do.

A naïve adult is really one who has been largely isolated from society and still reacts with honest spontaneity which seems foolish to a hardened adult who has been taught to be deceptive under many social circumstances to avoid social embarrassment.

A naïve adult will frequently criticize a bad gift, tell you honestly that your perfume stinks, say your excess jewelry is gaudy, say they don’t like your pretentious spouse, say that your offspring are brats if they misbehave, and say that you are fat if you are overweight. Naïve adults frequently don’t understand that we all have our egos and don’t want them to be hurt. Many naïve adults are more trusting then they should be in a world filled with social  and economic predators.
