14 VALUABLE LEADERSHIP SKILLS OR CHARACTERISTICS!!!

leadership-skills-business-diagram-19080009

The essence of great leadership is an ability to set relevant goals, have excellent communication skills, and to be able to motivate or inspire workers to do their best with what they have. That being said here are 14 characteristics of a great leader:

They keep good communications going by encouraging workers to speak to them, asking questions, noting complaints, and creating a safe, secure, approachable atmosphere where workers are not afraid to speak up when they feel it is necessary.

They communicate expectations or set realistic challenges or goals for workers to follow and place the responsibility of performing the details on workers and make them accountable for their work.

They prioritize goals based on an estimate of their urgency, potential impact on profitability of the company if it is a business, and cost of personnel and resources needed to achieve the desired goals.

They estimate the approximate time it will take to achieve the goals and when  members of the staff will start on them.

They have an ongoing thirst for new relevant knowledge, do research, ask relevant questions, and seek counsel from others as needed.

They know how to confidently make relatively quick impulsive decisions based on years of experience and are seldom confronted with lengthy periods of doubt and uncertainty.

They evaluate or assess worker performance and give appropriate privileges and rewards or give credit where credit is due.

They are trustworthy and provide accurate, continuous, motivating, and supportive feedback to workers as they perform their tasks but don’t micro manage them.

They are good at assigning appropriately talented individuals to relevant tasks or know which workers will do a better job at given tasks and allocate and deploy accordingly.

They don’t procrastinate and are good at analyzing problems and assigning appropriate resources and personnel to solve them.

They are competent, energetic, likable, respected, and strong willed with an ability to motivate and inspire workers despite some inevitable failures along the way.

They openly share their knowledge and teach appropriately even mentoring some with leadership potential.

They network with leaders in similar positions and try to form relationships with humans who may not only be able to help them but also help some of their workers in the present and future.

They know that the strategic business plan should always be a satisfied repeat customer which is the only ultimate strategic consideration. The means to that end is making the company more competitive with more and better information, goods, or services and a more efficient organizational structure.

They genuinely enjoy their leadership responsibilities and the work that that entails.

THE TRUTH ABOUT INSPIRATION*

trends-inspiration

Inspiration: n. impulsive desire which causes creation

Inspiration comes impulsively from the brain and it frequently causes one to engage in scientific, technological, or artistic creation. What is created may not be anything new or original since more than one human can have the same creative inspiration at any given point in time.

Truly new creations are sometimes copyrighted, trademarked, or patented and eventually benefit many other humans besides the creator who may sometimes merely get a great personal satisfaction out of the creation and no monetary reward.

If I along with many future users succeed in transforming highly emotional irrational language into a logical one for future generations to use wisely then that is reward enough for me even though I may not get a penny for my creative efforts. My creations are a gift to the future generations of humanity and I hope that they use it wisely.

30 INSPIRING QUOTES ABOUT LIFE!!!

14 - 1

Here are three of my favorites out of 30 inspiring quotes collected by Bernard Marr:

Instead of wondering when your next vacation is, you ought to set up a life you don’t need to escape from!

Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work!

You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take!

HOW TO GET INSPIRED

1558-waterfall-on-the-iguazu-river-in-brazil

If you want to get inspired then

go to an inspiring place,

do something inspirational,

or talk to or listen to someone who is inspirational.

An inspirational place may be nature, a forest path, a park, gardens, a beach, a lake or river, a marina, a mountaintop with a view of the city or a panoramic view, a museum, or a library may qualify as inspirational places to visit.

You can meditate, listen to good music which is exciting emotionally, or read an inspirational book or blog.

You can talk to an optimistic child or listen to an inspirational talk on Youtube on whatever topic which might interest you.

CONCLUSION:

Some things may inspire you more than others. Do the things which inspire you the most and are also accessible. The Grand Canyon and Iguasu Falls are truly inspirational places to visit and view but few of us can afford to actually visit those awesome inspiring places.

Visiting inspiring places on the internet is the next best thing to being there and you may find a place which you may truly want to visit some day in person.

6 WAYS TO GET INSPIRED!!!!!!

1558-waterfall-on-the-iguazu-river-in-brazil

GO TO AN INSPIRATIONAL NEARBY PLACE

Go for a walk in a city park, woods, gardens, nursery, or walk through a wealthy part of town. Visit a zoo if there is one or visit a historical museum. Visit and walk along the ocean, lake, or river if there is one close by.

VIEW NATURE SCENES

Nature can inspire you and if you can’t visit a national park then frequently go on Youtube and view wildlife hunting prey, magnificent landscapes, and underwater scenes. If human constructions combined with great landscapes inspire you then go to Google Earth and visit inspiring human locations around the globe and view them on Youtube too. Visit and view the ten or more natural and manmade wonders of the world.

COMMUNICATE WITH SMALL OFFSPRING

A young offspring will give you an honest opinion on any subject which they are aware of and appreciate the beauty of everything unhampered by the subjective biases of adults. Many adults are plagued with bad thoughts and problems about money, the economy, diseases, poverty, crime, and death. Get inspired by a young offspring which need not be your own offspring.

SPEND SOME TIME JUST THINKING OR MEDITATING

Spend some time away from other humans and spend some time with yourself thinking about what comes to your mind impulsively. If you start thinking about problems with other humans or your family then that is fine because you may find a solution to the problem or problems.

If you would like to free yourself of daily thoughts for a small duration then try deep breathing exercises and try to switch the topics which enter your mind by taking an imaginary walk through the wilderness or some other calming location.

LISTEN TO YOUR FAVORITE MUSICAL COMPOSITIONS

Record a list of your current favorite songs or your all time favorite songs and listen to them all in a row. It will inspire you emotionally and take your mind off your problems and daily concerns, especially if you close your eyes. To increase your repertoire of favorites listen to some new music such as the all time best classical or pop hits or try listening to my recommended list of songs in my evergreen book BEST OF THE BEST SONGS IN THE WORLD.

Read something which interests you

Be selective in your reading and read a topic which will potentially help you to improve your life. You may want improvement in your human relationships, family, friends, or increase your knowledge about how to improve your job. If you have any unanswered questions or want to find new information about a topic then Google it or Bing it for fast instant results.

24 TRUE IMPACTFUL STATISTICS FOR YOUR MIND

slide_313265_2811486_free

You probably didn’t know that about half of the population of Uganda is under 15 years of age.

If everyone in the world moved to South Africa the population density would still be lower than in Tokyo today. A great migration to big cities could start saving biodiversity.

About 200,000 humans a year die due to medical errors and about 30,000 deaths are caused by firearms including suicides and murder. It proves that doctors kill about 7 times more humans a year than humans killing others with guns. I checked the statistics and about 12,000 are murdered each year with guns.

There are 21 more impactful statistics which may even awe you in this link to cracked.com.

INTROSPECTION

An important priority for true justice is guaranteeing that people are promoted to positions of authority in organizations based on merit and not primarily based on (nepotism and/or popularity) and/or political favoritism.

Disciplining offspring, adults, and organizations with moral rewards and/or punishments is justice and they must have earned those rewards and/or punishments with their personal or collective behavior.  What subset of a reward and/or punishment must be judged by the humans who are in authoritative office and/or rank.  Older offspring can be authority figures for younger offspring helping out parental authority figures and the chain of command can continue upward through to presidents or tyrants.
