THE PROBLEMS WITH MONOPOLY GOVERNMENT HEALTHCARE!!!

The problem with all government run services is gross inefficiency in the long duration. Especially problematic is government run healthcare where questions of life and death are involved. Healthcare for all quickly translates into bad healthcare for all with a lot more pain and suffering for patients. It is not surprising that many who can afford to leave the country in search of better and cheaper healthcare alternatives leaving the rest of the population to suffer with substandard care.

Instead of doctor appointments made in a day or week most appointments are scheduled from a month to more. Emergency response times instead of being not more than 15 minutes can take as long as 4 hours. Assembly line doctor care is frequent as doctors depend on high turnover and short visits to make money. A lot of unnecessary tests, procedures, and drugs are prescribed instead of an emphasis on preventative care and judicious diagnosing. There is a shortage of doctors who feel underpaid and overworked so fewer enter the profession. There is less money and incentives for medical research and new discoveries become rarer.

So is there a solution that is tolerable for bad forced medical care for all? A hybrid medical care system is more practical and cost effective. There should be quality care for all those who can afford the medical insurance and private hospitals who take care of those patients.

The rest of the population will have to settle for substandard care in government run hospitals with budgetary constraints. Yes, few doctors will want to work in government facilities so the standards for doctors practicing there will have to be drastically reduced and special educational facilities will have to be created to train enough minimally qualified family physicians and specialists.

If you have enough saved up money then you could still go to get high quality medical care from appropriate facilities in the country and not have to go abroad to get that quality care.

The health care system would fundamentally follow the principle-you get the care that you can afford. Whether this is a viable political solution is debatable but life isn’t fair and you should be responsible enough to save up some money for medical emergencies as a wage earning adult. Don’t be responsible about your health care and you suffer the consequences. This is fair and just even though some would consider it rather a cruel solution.

Most really just need catastrophic medical insurance for very expensive medical procedures which would bankrupt them and the unfortunate ones have preexisting conditions which the government health care could cover.

You ultimately can’t force quality highly trained physicians to work for substandard government health care so it is best to have both quality and quantity physicians in a nation.

THE TRUTH ABOUT INSURANCE*

insurance-sales

Insurance: n. promising compensation if damage and/or destruction to a subset(s) will exist in the future and frequently samer compensation is promised for an amount of money given

The world is filled with all kinds of dangers and potential future dangers which scare many humans and they would like assurances that if those dangers strike them then they will be protected or compensated for any physical and/or financial injuries and/or damages.

Most insurance is paid with cash monthly or yearly installments and these can become especially burdensome and very high priced such as health insurance with the general population getting unhealthier and unhealthier with each passing year.

The drug companies make the premiums even higher with costly drugs prescribed by physicians which just mask the symptoms on many occasions and just make the situation worse with many side effects treated with more expensive pills or drugs.

Healthy eating of organic food and sober living are the best preventions against the most important danger to you which is an unhealthy body and mind.

The insurance industry is increasingly becoming a monopoly where competition is no longer an insurance against exorbitantly high insurance premiums so frankly most housing, car, and health insurance should be a national standardized rate based on the standardized risk assessment of each individual citizen. There should be guaranteed insurance for preexisting conditions which most private insurance companies try to drop from their membership or coverage.

Risk assessment or actuarial tables should be public knowledge so that the risk assessment for each individual can be made and an adjustable payment into the government system proportional to the accident and health history of each individual.

The same cost of insurance for the accident prone and unhealthy citizen versus the responsible accident free and healthy individual is unjust and any just national health insurance should demand higher insurance premiums from the more irresponsible high risk members of society.

Working citizens may still choose to go with private insurance company coverage if they so desire with more compensation due to any specified injury. Those on welfare will have insurance coverage standardized to fit their welfare allotments but the accident prone unhealthy members will have to live on more meager welfare benefits than the healthy accident free members on welfare.

This is only a transitional system designed for the ultimate solution or transition to a just society which is Capsocialism with capitalism for the working class and socialism for the welfare class. The totally dependent welfare class will not get any spending money from the government but will be totally dependent on government with no money for discretionary spending.  Only free education via the internet and basic needs will be provided door to door by an efficient private supply system and no rights to motorized vehicles in which to roam the nation looking for fun and excitement.

THE TRUTH ABOUT DERIVATIVES+

Screen shot 2010-04-22 at 4.17.20 PM

Most derivatives are a financial contract which can be used to insure against price movements (hedging), for speculation, and getting access to questionable intangible assets.

The actual credit risk of derivatives was about 3.3 trillion dollars although the total amount of derivatives traded over the counter was about 700 trillion in 2011.

Derivatives are frequently short term obligations and make it possible for wild speculation on small changes in interest rates, on changes in stock prices, on currency changes, on real and fictional bonds, and on unquantifiable assets. Pure gambling is the net effect.

Banks should not be buying and selling derivatives which are far too speculative and frequently have no foundation in real tangible assets. Banks should be forbidden to engage in pure gambling with central bank and taxpayer money which automatically guarantees banks against losses in the billions or even trillions.

A further disadvantage to derivatives is that their purchasing and selling begin to drive price changes of intangible assets so that the system can actually be rigged and price fluctuations begin to reflect the derivative activity. Big money is in charge and manipulates the derivative, stock, and interest market to their benefit to make huge big profits in a very short time.

Risk analysis on derivatives is done with complicated mathematical formulas which have no relevance in crisis financial situations and many are mislead into thinking that they know what they are doing financially when the truth is they don’t know at all how the system is rigged with big money moves dependent on the whim of the big money holders.

With so much phony money changing hands a small financial crisis can bankrupt many financial institutions or at least cause a severe liquidity crisis which benefits almost no one but big money and can lead to a major depression and plummeting of the stock market.
