Impartial: adj. justly judging a dispute with no financial and/or cloose correspondences with the disputants
Cloose: adj. existing at a relatively (short distance in space and/or small time interval) and/or (small number and/or small degree) and/or small quantity
An impartial judge or human is frequently one who is relied upon to give a more just judgment or decision about a dispute because that human does not have any relationships with the disputants nor any financial ties which relate in any way with the dispute. There may still be subjective bias in an impartial decision or judgment but it is usually not because of any formal relationship with the disputants.
