THE TRUTH ABOUT INSANITY*

insanity_logo-300x300

Insanity: n. mentally unhealthy beyond the point where medication stops helping to maintain a relatively stable dependent and/or independent mental and physical lifestyle

Despite the fact that you may unfortunately be on psychtropic drugs, if you can maintain a relatively stable dependent and/or independent mental and physical lifestyle then you are not really insane at the moment.

Yes, a history of the use of anti depressive drugs can rarely create unstable violent mass killers who prey on innocent victims in society but that is the rather small cost that we have to pay for not having to institutionalize every mentally ill human on psychiatric drugs.

More humans are classified as mentally ill these days than ever before in history and it has unfortunately become big business making huge profits for the drug and the corrupted psychiatric “profession”.

Radical behavior modification and improved healthy eating and exercise habits are cures for most mental illnesses but unfortunately very few in society can afford this expensive rehabilitation and don’t have the luxury of much time to spend in rehab and then go out and live a healthy lifestyle rather than a dysfunctional one which may even mean changing stressful jobs.

The result is “quick fix” psychiatric pills which cause chemical imbalances in the brain and turn humans into dependent drug addicts who can no longer function without medication once addicted to it. Once on medication for too long getting off it causes the exact same symptoms you started out with only worse.

You become an insomniac in most cases because what psychiatric drugs basically are is tranquilizers, sleep or lethargy inducers to reduce activity levels in the brain and the body fights the drugs by waking the body and brain back up with its own counter chemical activity. When going off the drugs the body becomes excessively awake or in a state of insomnia permanently and sleep deprivation causes all the symptoms of psychiatric illness to occur all over again only more intense and deviant than before.

Except for about 3% of the population who have never been on hard addictive drugs and really do need psychotropic drugs, most of the rest of the population is being scammed by psychiatrists who frankly don’t have the time nor the money to rehabilitate you and actually cure you with radical behavior modification.

Too many in society are leading deviant unhealthy lifestyles and the instant “cure” for this unfortunate state is psychtropic pill popping in spades which is costing billions of dollars yearly and making lives just as miserable for many.

THE TRUTH ABOUT OFFENSIVENESS+

sticker,375x360

Offensiveness: n. intentionally or unintentionally causing (anger and/or resentment) and/or causing displeasure whose cause may be (an illegal action(s) and/or a human(s) behaving immorally) and/or a human(s) deviating much from good social etiquette

Offensiveness causes anger, resentment, and displeasure and these are very subjective emotions which someone else may not have towards what offended you.

Immorality is offensive to most humans but the reason that you may be offending someone is that you merely unintentionally deviated from good social etiquette and you may not even be aware of what that good social etiquette is.

Ridicule, put downs, name calling, and harsh criticism or harsh blaming will offend a human in every culture.

There are some normal behaviors in every culture which if practiced or done in another culture will offend humans in that culture. Burping after a meal is considered rude and offensive in our culture but it is not in some other cultures.

The wrong appearance, behavior, and lifestyle can offend humans and the right appearance and behavior is frequently determined by the circumstances. There is formality and informality under unique circumstances and knowing the difference can frequently determine whether you will offend someone or not.

40 GOOD HABITS WHICH CAN LEAD TO MORE HAPPINESS!!!

habits-for-happiness

The primary source of happiness is good habits which frequently lead to a good job and good relationships with other humans.

Actually having good habits means that you are avoiding or gradually eliminating the bad habits in your life too. Being aware of bad habits and doing something about them is important in being and remaining happy.

I have written about 32 bad habits which you should minimize or avoid and have links to them at the end of this article.

40 GOOD HABITS:

Eat healthy organic food as much as possible and drink pure water and healthy fruit and veggie juices.

Moderately exercise or move around physically about three times a week if not more.

Get enough sleep so that you wake up fresh and ready to start a new day.

Be financially responsible or budget and live within your means.

Work smart and hard.

Try to have good relationships with important humans in your life.

Be honest and sincere or don’t be a liar or deceptive human and you will attract more honest and sincere humans in your life.

Avoid or minimize contact with bad, depressed, unhappy, addicted humans as much as possible who will just add misery and problems to your life.

Forgive more unless they are immoral humans lying, deceiving, and cheating  you.

Let go of the things which you can’t control and you will have less to worry about.

Compare yourself less with others and you won’t feel as anxious and depressed.

Honestly compliment or praise others who have earned the compliment or praise.

Share your knowledge and expertise with others when needed within reason and offer the help free of charge as needed.

Take time out for friendships, especially the ones who are important in your life.

Trust your gut feelings and trust other humans at first until they prove themselves immoral and unworthy of that trust.

Keep your conversations brief and to the point or listen more and talk less.

Be kind or good towards humans as much as possible unless they don’t deserve to be treated well or are immoral liars or cheaters.

Keep your excuses to a minimum and change your behavior so that you don’t need excuses.

You don’t need to seek approval from most humans unless they are very close to you and will be affected by your decisions in a good or bad way.

Improve yourself with new useful knowledge and skills.

Meditate by thinking about nothing of importance or listening to soothing music or nature sounds or think about the things which you have accomplished or hope to accomplish and when.

View the world as an amazingly interesting place and it will be easier to maintain an optimistic attitude.

Do things which you like or love to do more often.

Try to live in the present moment more and try to enjoy every moment as much as possible.

Spend time with nature which is always inspiring, relaxing, and enjoyable.

Take out time to be with yourself and think or do things which interest only you.

Keep an inspiration file of affirmations, quotes, or fun things to do.

Express gratitude or be thankful for the things which you have even though they may not be the best of everything.

Embrace uncertainty and don’t let it worry or depress you.

Write about your feelings, beliefs, opinions, and experiences or keep a diary but try to focus on your achieved goals and things which you hope to achieve in the future.

See problems as challenges and not unpleasant tasks.

Have useful pastimes and do them in moderation.

Have an orderly and clean environment.

Schedule your time with priority given to the important things in your life.

Take time out for enjoying yourself with or without company.

Spend more time nurturing the close relationships in your life.

Spend little time gaming or watching TV.

Minimize the medicine or drugs which you are taking.

Spend little time on pornography and gambling if they are unavoidable.

Try to improve yourself or make and spend time on realistic goals which you can achieve soon or at some point in the future so you don’t lead an unfulfilled life of unachieved goals.

10 MENTAL TIME WASTERS!!!

time waster quote

This article by Geoffrey James has 10 mental habits which are a waste of time. Not mentioned is the fact that unless you are in retirement with nothing important to do there are physical and mental time wasters which piss away even more of your precious time. Playing video games, watching mediocre TV programs, especially depressing local news, spending too much time on Facebook and texting, and spending too much time with the wrong humans are also bad time wasting habits.

You should set aside time for meditation on a regular basis but you were given only so much time on the face of this earth and it is a crime if you don’t learn to use that time to the fullest doing things which you like which help you to acquire new knowledge and experiences which can make your life more purposeful, interesting and rewarding.

30 INSPIRING QUOTES ABOUT LIFE!!!

14 - 1

Here are three of my favorites out of 30 inspiring quotes collected by Bernard Marr:

Instead of wondering when your next vacation is, you ought to set up a life you don’t need to escape from!

Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work!

You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take!

THE TRUTH ABOUT PROBABILITY

Probability

You will probably eat, go to the bathroom, work, communicate, and drive a car almost every day. These things have a very high probability or are certain.

Less probable things done on a weekly or monthly basis are shopping, filling up a gas tank, going to a movie, going to a restaurant, paying rent or a mortgage, getting paid, and meeting a friend in person.

On a yearly basis you may go on vacation, go to the dentist, and pay your taxes.

In a lifetime you may marry once or twice, have more than a handful of jobs, have health problems, and live in more than a handful of locations. These are rather common things which most of us do and there is a high probability that they will exist or happen in our lives.

Not so probable things are getting the job of your dreams, making much money, marrying a soul mate, and traveling to some truly awesome places in the world.

The truth is that through invested time, effort, and achievement you can sometimes increase the probability of getting what you really want in life. By just living casually day by day and not budgeting your money you will probably not get much of what you think you want out of life.

The probability of things which will exist in your life is determined by chance to some extent because we frequently can’t avoid accidents, medical crises, and sudden financial reversals in our life, especially if we are big risk takers. Opportunity in life sometimes comes by chance but if we haven’t prepared for it then it may pass us by and we may regret it for the rest of our lives.

At the two extremes there are humans who let things happen and there are those who try to make things happen in their favor. Most of us let things happen and relatively infrequently try to make important things happen in our lives with careful planning and preparation.

What is the probability that you will live a long and prosperous happy life? No one really knows for sure but if you eat healthy, exercise moderately, never give up, continue to struggle trying to solve everyday problems, and try to learn new useful skills and knowledge then the probability that you will have an interesting life without many regrets increases greatly.

There are probable things in your life which you will frequently and relatively easily do in your life and then there are the improbable things which will just happen to you or happen because of time, effort, achievement, and money spent to make them happen even though the odds against it happening are rather great.

Knowing what the highly improbable things are in life or the impossible things are is important because you can waste a tremendous amount of valuable time, effort, and money trying to make the impossible possible in your life. A life filled with failure, frustration, and depressing disappointment is what awaits you if you don’t set realistic goals and don’t try to achieve possible realistic goals in your life and focus on the impossible instead.

If you don’t have an excellent memory and talent to become a celebrity in the nation or internationally then try to become a celebrity or someone outstanding locally or in an important local profession.

You may only have the potential to become a big fish in a little pond but not have the potential to become a big fish in a big pond. Most of us have to content ourselves with being little fish in a little pond or big pond and that is perfectly acceptable since most of us lead rather normal or mundane lives and have no great urge to excel at anything truly important in society.

Having a happy family and doing a bucket list of interesting things in life is enough of a challenge for most of us and fewer each year are succeeding at even living this kind of a marginal traditional lifestyle.

If you are leading most of your life living the single lifestyle then you can even be content with this because you have the freedom to live life your way without making compromises with a significant other. Not reproducing or not having offspring is also not a disaster because what the polluted world needs least of all is another mouth to feed in a sea of overpopulated humanity.

Death is a certainty for all of us so make the best of life between now and then so that you will have a minimum of regrets on your death bed!!!!!!

WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF LIFE AND WHAT SHOULD YOUR PURPOSE BE???

purpose

The purpose of life has always been to survive and reproduce the next generation. Humans have succeeded so well at this that the polluted world is overpopulated with human protoplasm which is devastating the biodiversity of the food supply and destroying biodiverse wilderness threatening the very survival of healthy civilization.

Nothing is more certain than change and if you are making and achieving small short duration new goals in life and if you have made long duration goals subject to change as necessary then you have purpose or more accurately purposes in life. Even if you never succeed at reproducing which is no longer a necessity but should be considered a luxury, you can have purpose(s) in life.

Caught in a world of impulsive dysfunctional living, bad habits, and starting to feel depressed? If your best friends are just as impulsively dysfunctional then end the bad friendships, improve yourself gradually, and eventually find new and better friends.

Make some new good short duration goals and achieve them thus displacing more and more of your dysfunctional living and bad habits. You may feel discouraged at first because bad living is habit forming and gives you some pleasure. You may not know what a good short duration new goal is but try to connect with new useful skills, new useful knowledge, and new functional friend role models who seem to be living a more purposeful good life with plans for the future. Succeeding at achieving new short duration good goals will give you the confidence to make more of them and you will experience real improvement in your life.

Yes, you can also dedicate yourself to a life of hedonistic indulgences and addictive vices one after the other with indiscriminate use of mind altering drugs. Burn with the intensity of fireworks in your life and it will be just as short lived an experience in your life. Live for today and don’t give a damn about tomorrow will frequently result in a worse tomorrow or even worse -no tomorrow!!!

Good unbiased advice or free useful knowledge is hard to find these days in a fast changing technological century which is fast changing many old rules. You can start by investing your time and energy searching and reading articles in this website which will give you plenty of wise advice on what good habits, good goals, and good lifestyles are.

You are being lied to, deceived, and brainwashed by society and friends. Search for the truth and find some and you will gradually rid yourself of the comforting lies which keep your life functioning badly in a purple haze of impulsive stupidity.

If you are not convinced that I have most of the answers then surf the web and ask your questions using search engines such as Google and Bing. I can only help you to set new useful goals in your life but actually setting them and trying to achieve them is your responsibility and yours only!!!!!!

If you are not happy and feel purposeless then start making some good conscious changes in your life by setting some new realistic good goals and actually achieving them with self-control and determination. Live long and prosper!

THE TRUTH ABOUT SUCCESS

success2

The truth is that you are successful if you make goals and achieve them no matter how small or large the goals may be.

Some derelicts and cancer patients find living another day to be a success and at the other extreme some don’t consider themselves to be successful until they become very wealthy or a celebrity.

Most of us have relatively small successes such as getting a good job, marrying your soul mate, and being able to afford the small pleasures in life which may be pleasant pastimes, hobbies, and good friends.

The two greatest barriers to success is that you don’t have enough natural talent to excel at something you ideally want to achieve or you have many bad habits which cause a string of failures at trying to achieve worthwhile goals. You can’t do much to change an absence of talent but through hard work, determination, self-motivation, and realistic optimism you can almost always improve your lifestyle and make your life more successful.

To become qualitatively more successful set priorities in your life and divide up goal achievement into smaller steps. Achieve some easy goals first to gain some confidence and then try to achieve the harder goals which will take more time, determination, self-motivation, and realistic optimism.

Worthwhile success is infrequently achieved without some failure and some of the greatest successes have come from humans who have failed a thousand times and finally achieve that elusive goal after incredible persistence and determination. Success is infrequently a straight and narrow easy path but one with many unexpected twists and turns which frequently take you momentarily off a straight path to achievement.

If you are realistic in your goal setting then you will have more achievement or successes in your life. Don’t make any pie in the sky goals which have no or very little probability of ever being achieved!!!!!!

If you live the average lifespan for a male or female then you can consider yourself to be a success because many bad addictive behaviors such as drugs and alcoholism, risky living, careless accidents, and unhealthy eating can shorten your lifespan considerably.

Remember, you are a success if you just live to see another day no matter how shitty your life may seem at the moment.

THE TRUTH ABOUT SIMPLICITY

simplicity

Some of us complicate our lives with too many material possessions, too many friends, and too many personal interests or commitments. We may feel stressed out with too little time to relax and may even complicate matters by being financially deep in debt.

Simplifying your life is the answer to an out of control life and one way to do this is to set priorities in your life. Job, family, personal interests, and friends should usually be your priority order and that means spending more time and effort on your job, then family, things which interest you, and finally friends.

Too many material possessions means that you should cut back on your buying and only try to buy what you NEED and not what you WANT. This is not always easy because most of us are impulse buyers and seldom stop to ask ourselves. Can I do without the purchase for a week, month, or year? If the answer is yes then you should not buy it. If spending is a major problem then you should definitely learn to budget your money and learn about how to do it on the internet.

If many friends are not important to your job then concentrate on keeping in touch with the closest friends and let the others only be casual acquaintances which you may only remember once a year.

Having many personal interests means that you will probably not be bored but they usually do take up much of your time and even money so you can prioritize them and spend most of your time and money on the ones which you have a passion for. A smart way to prioritize interests is to ask yourself-Will these interests help me develop new skills or make me more knowledgeable? If the answer is no then you should put those interests last on your set of priorities which means spending less time, energy, and money on them.

For almost anything which you do you can ask the question. Can I spend the time, energy, and money on something better or more important? If the answer is yes then switch priorities and you will be on the road to simplifying your life.

Finally if you have a bad job then one of your major priorities should be learning new skills or new knowledge so that you can land a better job or even a different one from the one which you currently have.

CONCLUSION:

Prioritizing your life or finding out what has the most importance in your life and spending more time, energy, and money on it is one of the keys to simplifying your life and getting off the frantic random treadmill which you may be on now.

FOLLOW YOUR PASSION OR DO A GOOD PAYING USEFUL JOB??

Simon Cowell

Follow your passion is frequently not the best advice for a fulfilling good job. Star celebrity musicians, singers, actors, sport athletes, news casters, radio talk show gurus, writers, and fashion designers get the most attention and get many passionate followers all hoping to be like them.

Sadly you need much inborn talent and an excellent memory which most humans don’t have and the result is frequently much failure and disappointment for all the passionate human followers. Those socially glorified great paying jobs are frequently held by one in a million humans and most humans don’t realize that the odds are stacked against you succeeding in any of the above fields.

To be truly happy and successful you need to find a useful and successful job which you can handle mentally and physically and make good money at it.

Here is an article in the Huffington Post which shows you that some of the happiest humans are not the ones who followed their passion but found a useful good paying job instead and are happy doing it.

THE TRUTH ABOUT PASSION

always-be-passionate

Passion: n. mentally sensing very intensely with some difficulty maintaining control and the behaviors which exist with it

Pursue your passion is frequently the advice given to someone who wants to become successful or live a happy life.  This is a rather amoral way of looking at life because what may make you passionately happy may be something which will hurt you in the long duration. Some are passionate about sex, pornography, gambling, partying, drinking alcohol, and doing drugs which all can lead to rather dysfunctional lifestyles and even death in some cases of severe drug addictions.

The first rule to follow would be to pick your passions carefully because they are frequently addictive and you don’t want to become a slave to the bad passions which you may be pursuing.

Passions have number, intensity, frequency, and duration

Not everyone puts all their eggs into one basket or one passion. It is entirely possible to be passionate about more than one thing and it is even advisable to be passionate about more than one thing so that you have a backup plan B and maybe even C if plan A does not work out or you become dissatisfied with its pursuit.

I have been a physics teacher, a computer programmer and systems analyst, a builder, a mortgage investor, a remodeler, a landlord, and am currently writing much in my retirement years mostly based on the research into truth which I have done throughout a lifetime and am still doing now. My plan A, B, C, D and E didn’t last very long and I am currently engaged in plan F and G.

Few realize that achieving the goal of some passions requires inborn talent frequently accompanied by a very good memory and if you don’t have the talent and good memory then you are dreaming the impossible dream if you want to become president, a rocket scientist, doctor, celebrity, talk show monolith, sports star, or famous writer.

How passionate you are about something is determined by how emotionally satisfying it is, how frequently you engage in your passionate pursuit, and how long you spend in hours pursuing it. If you are passionate about your job then you love it, spend every day at it except maybe weekends, and you probably put in more than just 40 hours a week.

How long you totally spend on your passion depends on how long it lasts and continues to give you satisfaction. If you lose your job then you may be able to find a similar one and continue your passion or you may have to go into an entirely different line of work if your job becomes obsolete due to technological advances.

CONCLUSION:

Select you passions carefully and be realistic in your choices since exceptional success frequently requires talent and a very good memory. Passionately working hard at it alone will not be enough to reach that unrealistic idealized goal in life. If you are the average human then you should be passionate about the common things in life such as close friends, nice family, pleasant pastimes such as healthy eating and moderate exercise, and a job with a decent wage.

You will be much happier living a normal passionate life without the unrealistic delusions of grandeur which some humans are burdened with throughout a lifetime and the tragic series of failure which they suffer which is inevitable when you don’t have the ability necessary to reach lofty goals.

DO YOU DESIRE OR NEED SELF-IMPROVEMENT?

slide_283349_2159015_free

Not all of us desire to improve ourselves. We may have a good job, good close friends, a nice family, and interesting pastimes which make our lives seem happy and fulfilling and relatively secure.

For every successful happy human there are probably 9 who WISH that they had a better or more secure job, who would like a quality friendship, who would like to have a nice family someday, and who would like to participate in interesting pastimes if only they had the money.

Having a “normal” acceptable social lifestyle requires investing much time, energy, effort, and money on a daily basis and frankly most of us are trapped in our old habitual ways and are always short on cash so it seems to us that progress in our lives is almost impossible to achieve.

Most of our daily lives are filled with activity just trying to survive another day and few of us are not selfmotivated enough and know how to set aside the necessary time and money for improving ourselves and improving our surroundings.

With the internet, living life can be very cheap and entertaining without having to participate in the “rat” race of struggling to survive in a technological changing world which is creating fear, dissatisfaction, depression, and financial instability in many common humans.

Make enough money in a poor paying job or get on welfare and surf the world on the internet getting all the entertainment and marginal friends that you have time for! If you are basically a lazy unmotivated human, and don’t mind remaining single, then a computer lifestyle, eating healthy food, and exercising moderately is not a horrifying way to spend a lifetime!

For those of you who want more out of life than a computer for a spouse read my evergreen truth book HOW TO IMPROVE YOURSELF: HOW TO GET WHAT YOU WANT; HOW TO SAVE TIME AND MONEY and start on the path to a responsible lifestyle. With enough selfmotivation, time, ability, and effort you can get the things in life which you consider important enough to strive for as goals.

It will hopefully make your life more happy and fulfilled and not as boring.

8 PROBABLE REASONS FOR DEPRESSION

Depression

About 1 in 10 Americans is diagnosed with depression. There are probable reasons why this is so.

Toxic food, isolation from nature, psychological attachment to pessimism, excess consumerism, too little exercise, suppressing bad feelings, psychiatrists pushing drugs for depression with bad side effects, and a toxic environment are all possible reasons for an increase in depression.

Basically many of us are not leading mentally and physically rewarding and/or healthy lives and that seems to be the basic reason behind so many depressed humans.

This link to naturalnews.com gives some details on this topic.

4 MAJOR ROADBLOCKS TO FUTURE SUCCESS AND HAPPINESS

Success-is-getting-what-you-want.-Happiness-is-wanting-what-you-get-Dale-Carnegie-Happiness-quote

The 4 major roadblocks to your future success and happiness are your bad impulsive habits, the bad impulsive habits of others, a bad job, and bad money management. Start taking actions today and tomorrow which will start removing these roadblocks.

Most of us have large egos and place the blame for an absence of success or unhappiness on other humans or other things and circumstances. We are quick to criticize other humans and the world for our problems and fail to realize that we are responsible for our own success and happiness to a large extent. Even a bum can be happy in life if he or she has enough to eat and drink and not much more.

Your hopes and dreams may be too unrealistic and you may have to downsize them to consider yourself a happy success. You may also have to exclude the trivial and frequently impulsive bad habits which you have developed over the years and are probably stuck with unless you shock yourself into self-realization and reality and decide to do something constructive about it.

You may be emotionally immature, bad in your relationship skills, and bad at managing your finances. Have all three handicaps and your life is probably a very unhappy and unsuccessful one.

Excessive pessimism, jealousy, anger, fear, doubt, selfishness, pride, criticism, and impulsiveness  may not only make you emotionally and mentally handicapped but will make you dysfunctional in your relationships with others too. I have written blogs on how to reduce your emotional immaturity and be happier but you will find no details in this blog article.

Google or Bing anger, fear, etc. and learn more about them and what can be done to reduce their bad effects in your life. Don’t lie to yourself that there is no room for personal improvement but become more introspective, analytical, or knowledgeable about your own emotional weaknesses and discover ways to exclude their bad effects on you and others.

If you are not honest, sincere, reliable, and truthful with others then you will almost never have trusting relationships with others. You can end relationships with others who are untrustworthy and improve your happiness since you will have less problems created by other bad humans in your life.

If you are stuck in a bad job start preparing for a better one and if you are spending too much money then learn to budget it which is an absent skill in this profligate society.

Here are 6 additional things which you should try not to do if you want to optimize your success and happiness:

DON’T LET THE TRAUMA OF PAST MISTAKES AND A FEAR OF MAKING NEW MISTAKES CONTROL AND DECREASE YOUR CONFIDENCE IN MAKING NEW DECISIONS IN YOUR LIFE AND ACTING ON THEM

Everyone makes mistakes throughout life and the smart ones learn from their mistakes and have the courage to act further and make new mistakes which they can apologize for, learn from, and hopefully make new and better decisions in the future.  Some humans get wiser with age and it is primarily because they have made many mistakes in the past and have learned not to repeat them again in their lives.

DON’T TRY TO BUY HAPPINESS OR IMITATE PROFLIGATE LIFESTYLES

One of the biggest tragedies happen when humans try to find happiness in impulsive shopping or trying to keep up with their neighbors or friends who are profligate spenders going into ever greater debt in their lives. You should be looking for happiness in trying to get a better job or improving the job which you now have.

Living simply with an emphasis on personal improvement, family, close friends, and modest spending habits is the true road to fulfilling happiness if you strongly feel that you are too old to change to a better job. Make the best with what you have now.

STOP BEING LAZY OR PROCRASTINATING

It is very easy to stay with our old impulsive bad habits of doing very little different in our lives and putting off until tomorrow all the little things which could improve your life.  Achieving new worthwhile goals in life require action towards those goals and sitting on your butt too frequently and for too long will delay any progress indefinitely.

Your goal may merely be to eat healthier but if you don’t start by researching and buying better food then the healthy food will never reach your stomach. Important long duration goals must be done in smaller successive steps and if you never start with the first or smaller steps or constantly feel that you are not ready for them then it is a guarantee that you will not reach your long duration goals.

SPENDING TOO MUCH TIME WITH THE WRONG OR BAD HUMANS

Nothing will stop your successful progress and achievement in life more than pessimistic, problem filled, untrustworthy friends. Also the confident optimistic liars or BS artists with their bad addictions such as compulsive shopping, gambling, drug dependencies, etc. will keep you in a dysfunctional rut from which you will not be able to escape. Drop these bad friends as soon as possible and start replacing them with better role models.

TRYING TO SATISFY THE NEEDS AND WANTS OF OTHERS AND SACRIFICING YOUR OWN NEEDS AND WANTS TOO FREQUENTLY

The best human relationships are mutual ones where each human gives and gets something from a relationship and it is a relationship of mutual helping and mutual interdependence and sharing. Loving others too much and not loving yourself enough is a sad form of unrequited love where one party benefits at the expense of the other and it is a master slave relationship.

If you feel that you are becoming someone’s slave and are very unhappy doing so then it is time to change the relationship into a more mutually beneficial one. You can’t always easily change a spouse, offspring, or close friend who is tyrannizing you but if you let things go on as before you will never get true satisfaction and improvement of your own needs and wants.

Have the courage to demand small changes in the relationship which may eventually become big changes in the relationship but recognize that there should be limits to your patience. If nothing seems to work then start making plans to leave the relationship and start a new more fulfilling life on your own or with someone new and better.

DON’T LIVE WITHOUT A SCHEDULE

I want to change my life but I don’t have the time to do it. The answer is start scheduling your life by the clock even when you are away from work and you will be surprised how much free time you can actually find to improve yourself and research new ways of doing so.

There are so many trivial things which you are doing in life which waste your time, energy, and money and you should stop or reduce doing them as soon as possible.

You are probably getting some satisfaction out of a bad habit so one way to reduce it is to spend less time or money on it. If you can go cold turkey on a bad habit and replace it with a better one then this is the best option. Spend less time on a trivial activity or replace it with a better one is how to schedule your time wisely.

Set new or better priorities in your life, put them on your schedule, and start spending more time, energy, and money on them and not on the more trivial activities in your life.

7 WISE PRINCIPLES TO USE IN A MORE SUCCESSFUL AND HAPPIER LIFE

slide_275776_2029888_free

Silence is better than arguing, insincere flattery, and random communication.

We should all learn to talk less and listen more. If you can’t calmly discuss something then it is best to remain silent until emotions die down or until you sense that there is a solution to the emotional topic. When you are at a loss for words or can’t say anything nice and sincere about a person’s behavior then it is best to say nothing. Instead of engaging in much random conversation it is best to listen much and respond appropriately in a short and concise manner or to say nothing at all if the conversation is of a very trivial nature.

Be honest, sincere, trustworthy, and reliable and you will be respected and admired and extend that respect and admiration to humans who are also honest, sincere, trustworthy, and reliable.

Being truthful and fulfilling your promises as frequently as possible is a sign that you can be trusted, respected, and even admired. If you can’t trust someone then you don’t have to respect them and if you are the lying deceptive type then don’t expect to be trusted and respected by others.

Don’t spend all your money on material possessions, especially if it means going into great debt to satisfy your material wants.

Living frugally or being thrifty, saving about 10% of your income for a rainy day and retirement, and investing much of your time, energy, and money on family, close friends, and worthwhile causes such as the conservation of biodiversity will reduce your desires to boast about what you have and increase your desire to boast about what you are doing to make the world better for family, friends, humanity, and biodiversity or wildlife.

Learn to accept change and strive for improvement

In a fast changing technological era many traditional jobs are being replaced by computer software and robots. Accept the fact that you will probably lose your job in your lifetime or have to constantly reeducate yourself and train for a more complex job in the future. A liberal arts college education is no longer going to be a guarantee of a good paying job or career.

Think before you act

We are creatures of impulsive behavior and that includes many bad habits. Instead of impulsively buying something ask first do I NEED it or do I just WANT it?  Instead of impulsively buying an expensive brand name product ask yourself can I get the same value with a cheaper generic product? Instead of impulsively buying food ask first is it a healthy food or am I just buying it to satisfy a craving for a taste sensation? Instead of impulsively arguing stay silent and ask yourself is it worth the emotional bad feelings?

Think much more before you act and that means asking yourself whether what you are about to do is the most efficient way of doing it or is there an alternate way of doing it which will save me more time, energy, and money?

Don’t be envious of others

Many humans like to brag about their lifestyles and possessions and if there is a human who seems to be leading a more exciting life than you then he or she is probably paying through the nose and is in great debt financially and his or her happy relationships with other humans will probably not last long. Many modern lifestyles with profligate spending and marginal relationships with other humans is frequently a lifestyle which is not worthy of envy or imitation.

If you are envious and trying to get social approval for your lifestyle from almost everyone then stop it because everyone will never agree with everything which you are doing and it is much more important to try and please the humans close to you such as family and close friends than the general public with its lose morals and bad behavior.

Surround yourself with good humans

Surround yourself with optimistic, honest, sincere, trustworthy friends and your life will be much happier than if you associate with pessimistic, unreliable, and untrustworthy friends. Birds of a feather flock together so don’t flock together with humans who will add misery to your life, especially if you are optimistic, honest, sincere, and trustworthy.

DEPRESSION OR LIFE WITHOUT SATISFYING AND MOTIVATING GOALS

depressed

If you are depressed then you don’t need medication or mind altering drugs but you need to find satisfying and motivating goals which you can commit to.

Some are depressed because of no job, a dead end job, a dysfunctional family life, an absence of good relationships, because of bad health, or a feeling of helplessness and inadequacy to cope with life’s problems. Most depressed humans don’t need drugs but need a radical change in their lifestyle. Psychiatry and psychology are frequently inadequate solutions to a lifestyle problem of sad pessimism rather than a desirable independent optimistic selfsufficient lifestyle.

Primitive tribes almost have no mental illness and depression because they are actively involved in a purposeful life which may be difficult but it is goal oriented and generally satisfying. Modern inactivity, unsatisfying activity, being trapped in repetitive sad thoughts, leading seemingly trivial repetitive lives without active goal achievement and a sense of accomplishment, or seemingly insoluble lingering bad problems is what makes many humans “mentally ill” or behaviorally dysfunctioning and depression is one of the more frequent manifestations of it.

Counseling rarely helps because it merely suggests changes in lifestyle but does not help in eliminating difficult to lose bad habits which should be replaced by good habits which don’t lead to depression. If you are doing things which make you depressed then you have to change to good habits which do not lead to depression. Radical behavior modification is the solution and if you are a young adult or an adult then change is going to be a difficult challenge because most of your life has programmed you to live a depressing dependent lifestyle with minimum selfcontrol over your life.

To get out of your depression you need to find and make new goals to pursue which will lead to the satisfaction of pursuit and accomplishment and will further motivate you to make more goals with hopefully satisfying feelings of pursuit and achievement. Knowing that you are in the process of achieving new worthwhile goals will bring satisfaction in the present and achieving the goals will give satisfaction and motivation to continue with new goal setting in the future.

If you are depressed a healthy body and mind should be your primary goals which means eating healthy, a little exercise, and getting new knowledge and/or skills on a daily basis. Once your body is healthy your mind will follow if you help it along with new knowledge from the internet on finding and achieving goals or finding and achieving solutions to your problems.

This next example probably doesn’t apply to any blogger but illustrates what can be done in the most desperate of life’s circumstances.

If you are depressed and unemployed and destitute then get some help from welfare or live with someone on welfare and make yourself useful by doing household tasks or caring for the offspring.  If you have relatives or family then move in with them and make yourself useful by helping with household tasks and acquire new knowledge and skills while looking for employment on a regular basis. Find any job and commute by walking, bicycle, bus, or scooter until you can afford better transportation.

Share living quarters with others until you are making enough money to live alone. Once you have enough money for a computer then you can reeducate yourself with new knowledge and skills necessary for a better job.

If you have no motivation to improve yourself then start getting used to living a life on welfare for the rest of your life because jobs will get even scarcer in the new technological 21st century. If you are homeless and have no shelter then start getting used to eating out of commercial restaurant dumpsters and make the best of it by finding used clothing from charities.

If you are anti-social and want someone to provide you with food, clothing, and shelter and you can’t survive on your own then do the unthinkable and commit a crime and go to jail where they will take care of your basic needs.

Most of us will not become so desperate that crime will be the only option. For most of us, once you find out what goals you are interested in, no matter how small, then you can start committing to them and start having purpose in your life and your depression will gradually disappear if you are eating healthy and get in some occasional physical and mental exercise!!!!!! Whatever your situation in life, try to remain eternally optimistic and self motivate yourself to do things which make the best out of the situation which you are in.

5 VERY IMPORTANT REASONS YOU ARE STILL SINGLE

pets-lover

You don’t have a steady good paying job or career.

Nothing is more terrifying than the prospect of starting a family with offspring on a shoe string budget. Historically society valued a female with a dowry (money) and a male with a good paying job or land to farm. Enough money is not only a security blanket but it also makes you a more interesting human who can do interesting things in life almost all of which require money to do those interesting things.

You look like a slob or bum.

Your initial appearance is what counts the most and if you are badly dressed, badly groomed, or even smell you will not create a good first impression and will be avoided speedily.

You have very few optimistic things in common with your dates.

You don’t like the same family members, offspring, close friends, politicians, good conversations, topics, music, movies, sports, food, cars, houses, hobbies, and activities. Only good free sex seems to be keeping the dysfunctional relationship alive.

You have a pessimistic personality and don’t have a clue how to get rid of it.

You are depressed by past family and personal failures and failures with the opposite sex and don’t know how to escape your past misfortune. You are not taking any realistic optimistic steps to avoid similar disappointments in the future.

You are devoting too much of your time to job or career and can’t schedule enough time for your relationship.

Nothing will end a relationship faster than feeling that you are playing second fiddle to a job or career and not getting enough earned attention. Being able to schedule important time for both job and relationship is the key to a harmonious happy lifestyle for both parties.

THE DANGER OF UNTRUE AFFIRMATIONS WHICH WILL BOOST YOUR EGO AND CONFIDENCE WITHOUT GOOD RESULTS!!!!!!

affirmations_front1

Here are some generalized affirmations which are delusions or untrue beliefs which you should not have in your life because they boost your ego but are not true statements about you or your lifestyle. If you brainwash yourself into believing these statements are true about yourself then you will handicap your ability to grow and IMPROVE your personality and achievements in life.

Examples of untrue delusional affirmations:

I deserve to be loved, I love myself for who I am, I am loved and respected by everyone,  I feel safe and protected, I am appreciated and respected, I have everything I need in life, I approve of myself and feel great about myself, I am now a powerful and charismatic personality, I am confident and in control, my confidence and competence are exploding massively everyday, I have the willpower and discipline to do anything which I desire, I have the power to act correctly in each moment, and I am passionate and incredibly handsome or beautiful.

Revised true affirmations:

I will be honest, sincere, caring, and friendly towards others and will become a more lovable person.

I will be honest, sincere, caring, and friendly with others to develop trust, appreciation, and respect from others.

I am confident, have a strong desire, and will discipline myself so that I will get what I need in life by setting realistic desirable goals and applying enough  time, effort, and money to achieve those goals.

I would like to be powerful and more charismatic so I will improve my social skills with people and become more powerful by working towards a highly skilled professional job or a responsible high level managerial position in a company or organization.

I will become very handsome or beautiful by getting quality plastic surgery done on my face and/or body.

CONCLUSION: The true useful affirmations are not simple short untrue generalities or catch phrases because life is not simple but complex. Only developing an optimistic attitude is not sufficient to achieve improvement and success in the complex life that we are living in.

You must make a determined effort to improve your life with realistic actions which means making and achieving realistic worthwhile goals in life one step at a time. Improve your knowledge through more education much of which is selfeducation and improve the skills which you have in life to lead a more happy and successful lifestyle.

A useful true affirmation must communicate the goal or goals which you want to achieve and the steps which you will take to achieve that goal or goals. Motivate yourself with true useful affirmations and not untrue short general affirmations which will just make you feel good but not result in any useful achievements in your life.

9 BAD HABITS TO ELIMINATE FROM YOUR LIFE

487811_10151336801255326_410775141_n

Ignoring bodily health

Ignoring body health in youth may not lead to immediate bad consequences but sooner or later it will start impacting your life and you will be sicker and not functioning at your full potential. Make sure you eat healthy by staying away from over processed overly sugary foods as much as possible and start switching to a variety of certified organic food.

You don’t have to be religious about it because you can go without exercise for years if you lead an active life doing household chores and taking care of your offspring.  If you are leading a sedentary life with little movement start thinking about getting in about 20 minutes of walking or varied body movement about three times a week.

Being lazy or inactive

There is a current popular saying that a body at rest tends to stay at rest and one in motion tends to stay in motion. Get off your butt and start living life by doing something useful. Don’t be fearful of acquiring new knowledge on the internet and searching for goals which you would like to accomplish next in life. Do a little research by asking questions and getting answers. Start working towards a better job in small steps. If you waste your time looking for fun things to do it will cost you more money and stress you out financially and maybe even emotionally so start improving your knowledge on a subject with potential future application like a new and better job.

Avoid bad humans and bad experiences as much as possible

It may not be obvious but if you spend time with unhappy or miserable humans much of that will influence you and you will also be more unhappy with your life. Try to associate with optimistic happy humans and you will add happiness to your life. If you have a lousy job that is making you unhappy then start learning and planning for a better one. Associate with happy humans and a happy work environment and you will be happier for it.

Eliminate disorganization in small steps

Organize your workspace and make it neat and tidy. Replace your disorganized random work behavior and even personal life with one that operates on a schedule which uses your time wisely. Impulsively going through work or life is very inefficient and you can get much more done if you have an orderly environment and plan ahead for all the events in your work and life by the clock.

Don’t envy others lifestyles and material successes

Other humans will always seem to be doing better than you either with relationships or materially or exciting experiences. Don’t be envious because all that activity and material wealth is costing money and they are probably maxed out on their credit cards and in a financial hole which will make their great lifestyle come crashing down sooner or later. Live a simpler more efficient and thrifty life and you will avoid stressing out financially and emotionally.

Don’t try to please everyone

Don’t waste time and energy thinking whether you are wearing the right clothes, saying the right thing, or reacting properly to situations in your life. Try to please the most important humans in your life to some extent and that includes family and close friends but ignore what everyone else may think of you and stop trying to please them.

Plan for a new job before it chronically stresses you out

If your work load is getting almost unbearable or if you hate your job, you have terrible coworkers, and your job security is starting to be questionable then start looking for a new job or start educating yourself for a better next job before you become chronically stressed out.

Only robots are perfect

Don’t worry about not being perfect because no one can realistically be perfect or do everything right all the time. If you achieve most of your job goals and do so punctually and within acceptable standards then be satisfied with it because it probably won’t get any more perfect.

Don’t be financially illiterate

If you are not spending money with a budget and are spending money impulsively from paycheck to paycheck then learn to budget your money. What that basically means is that you should be saving up about 10% of it for a rainy day an/or your retirement and putting it into a savings account but not the stock market. Also don’t spend more than your monthly budget allows and if you do it for emergencies then take it out of your savings account but don’t develop a bad habit and constantly use savings to bail you out of overspending. Use a debit card if you can’t budget properly with a tempting credit card.

HOW WOMEN CAN EXCLUDE STRESS ABOUT A DIVORCE FROM THEIR LIVES

male-and-female-hand-shake

A DIVORCE HAS NOT DESTROYED YOUR REPUTATION AS A GOOD HUMAN SO STOP FEELING GUILTY AND CONTINUE WITH YOUR LIFE.

DON’T WAIT FOR YOUR EX TO APOLOGIZE TO YOU FOR LEAVING YOU BECAUSE YOU WERE BOTH GUILTY TO SOME DEGREE THAT THE MARRIAGE ENDED.

STOP WORRYING ABOUT A FUTURE WHICH IS UNCERTAIN AND A PAST FULL OF MISTAKES BUT LEARN FROM YOUR PAST MISTAKES AND CONTINUE WITH COURAGE AND DETERMINATION TO MAKE YOUR FUTURE LIFE BETTER.

PARENTING THE OFFSPRING AFTER A DIVORCE IS MORE DIFFICULT BUT NOT IMPOSSIBLE ESPECIALLY WHEN THE BOY STARTS TO IMMITATE HIS DAD MORE THAN YOU. THE EFFECT WILL PROBABLY BE THAT YOUR SON MAY ALSO NOT SUCCEED AT LIVING IN A MARRIAGE FOR A LONG DURATION IF AND WHEN HE DECIDES TO MARRY. HE WILL PROBABLY HAVE MANY OF THE PERSONALITY PROBLEMS OF YOUR EX. TO EXCLUDE THE BAD INFLUENCE OF YOUR EX TO SOME EXTENT TRY TO FIND ROLEMODELS OF MALES WHICH ARE HAPPILY MARRIED AND COMMUNICATE TO YOUR SON ABOUT THE GOOD QUALITIES WHICH THAT MALE HAS THAT YOUR EX DOES NOT.

WITH JOINT CUSTODY OF THE CHILDREN IT IS A LITTLE MORE DIFFICULT TO BE JUST FRIENDLY WITH YOUR EX AND ACCEPT HIS INDEPENDENT LIFE BUT START BEHAVING LIKE A PLATONIC FRIEND TOWARDS HIM AND EVERYTHING SHOULD WORK OUT FOR THE BOTH OF YOU.

WITH A NEW GIRLFRIEND YOUR EX WILL HAVE LESS TIME WITH THE OFFSPRING BUT HE PROBABLY HAS LITTLE MORE WHICH HE CAN TEACH THEM ABOUT LIVING LIFE SO HE IS NOT AS IMPORTANT IN THEIR LIVES AND THE LESS TIME HE USES WITH HIS OFFSPRING THE BETTER.

IF THE NEW GIRLFRIEND IS MORE ATTRACTIVE DON’T FEEL THAT THAT WAS THE PRIMARY REASON THAT HE LEFT YOU BECAUSE THERE IS MORE TO A RELATIONSHIP WHICH LASTS THAN ONLY BODILY BEAUTY.

IF YOUR EX WAS AN ADULTEROR DON’T STRESS ABOUT IT BECAUSE HE WILL PROBABLY HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM WITH HIS NEW RELATIONSHIP EVENTUALLY.  IF NOT MAYBE HE HAS FOUND BETTER SEX AND SOMEONE WHO CAN LIVE WITH HIS INCOMPLETE PERSONALITY.

IF YOU TRIED TO CONTROL YOUR EX WHILE HE WAS MARRIED YOU WILL EVEN HAVE LESS POWER TO CONTROL HIS INDEPENDENT LIFE SO STOP STRESSING ABOUT THE ABSENSE OF CONTROL THAT YOU HAVE OVER HIM.

DON’T BLAME YOURSELF OR THE OFFSPRING BEHAVIOR FOR BEING RESPONSIBLE FOR THE EX LEAVING THE FAMILY FOR ANOTHER WOMAN.  EVEN IF YOU AND THE OFFSPRING WERE RESPONSIBLE YOU CAN’T CHANGE THAT FOR THE BETTER AFTER IT HAS BEEN DONE SO STOP STRESSING ABOUT WHAT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO CHANGE.

IF THIS IS YOUR SECOND OR THIRD DIVORCE MAYBE YOU ARE NOT MARRIAGE MATERIAL SO DON’T STRESS ABOUT IT AND ADAPT TO A SINGLE LIFESTYLE AND STOP FEELING GUILTY THAT YOU ARE NOT MARRIED.
