Unabridged free speech is enshrined in the constitution but this also implies an absolute freedom which means that you are theoretically free to slander and libel or lie, threaten, insult, name call, put down, ridicule, use profanities, and humiliate at will. Free speech can be abused if it is excessive aggression without limits and results in uncivilized discourse not worthy of moral or ethical human behavior.
One could argue that the only kind of immoral or unethical free speech is intentional slandering and libeling or lying about someone or something. Threats on the life of someone could also be considered to be immoral or unethical. With insults, name calling, put downs, ridicule, profanity, and humiliation you could argue that this is not really immoral or unethical but only bad behavior.
However, this bad behavior can just as easily destroy someone’s good public reputation. If you destroy or try to verbally destroy someone’s good public reputation then you may effectively be killing that human financially and socially so this public bad behavior can become a serious threat on a human lifestyle for many.
I personally do not practice the above bad behaviors. If you call these behaviors immoral or unethical free speech then comedy dies if ridicule is censored. Forbidding jovial friendly assaults without malice on one’s personality or behavior with insults, name calling, put downs, profanity, and humiliation would make life rather boring and mundane if it was labeled unethical, immoral, or a definite no no. Censure all bad speech and life becomes an unbearable strait jacket since no one is or ever will be morally or ethically perfect. Many humans do make many unintentional communication mistakes which can do more than just offend and are sometimes forgivable, especially if an apology is forthcoming.
I suppose that in private you should be able to say what you pretty damn well please but our private lives are now becoming public in a flash with social media and the internet which used to be and still is to some extent like the wild wild west. The still problematic unanswered question is- if you publish on the internet then are you still a private individual or do you automatically become a public figure?
Add to this the frightening possibility of deepfakes which are doctored videos that show humans saying and doing things which they never did or said. What has become glaringly obvious is that some censorship of public free speech is necessary or it will destroy civilized discourse. More importantly, who is responsible for censoring irresponsible free speech?
A human or organization should almost always be responsible for immoral or unethical free speech and it is them that should bear the legal responsibility for publishing their shit. On Facebook you can unfriend an offensive human source but you can’t unfriend an offensive organization publication so we have a serious situation.
Who will censor an offensive ad or article? If you are offended by the ad or article then maybe there are many others who are not offended at all. So it seems that you personally should have the right to censor what you don’t want to see from the internet. Problematically Facebook, Google, etc. should not be the sole censor or they take on the position of a publisher who is responsible for any damage to your reputation in the event of slander, libel, or a threat to your life from some Facebook, Google, etc. source.
The sad reality is that if you are the victim of slander, libel, or a threat on your life then your only recourse is to sue and good lawyers cost an arm and a leg. Suing one individual may be rather easy but often not financially rewarding. Try suing a large corporation with big bucks like Facebook or Google and you are at a severe legal disadvantage. Yes, justice for the financially limited individual is very improbable and the legal system is just not equipped to successfully deal with this unjust reality.
If you become a public figure where apparently anything goes then your good reputation can be unjustly destroyed almost overnight by the media. This is probably the main reason why there are so few brave public individuals who are not timid and overtly stand their ground and mouth their truths, especially if their opinions are not deemed to be politically correct.
Criminals and scammers prowl the internet so search engines have a responsibility to protect your data submitted via the internet from unauthorized use. Complications galore exist and some kind of censorship is definitely necessary. What should remain private information and what should become public information is an ongoing dilemma which may never be solved to the satisfaction of many.
Nowhere is the rampage of unbridled free speech more noticeable than in politics where it has taken on a form of entertainment for entertainment’s sake. The descent of the media into a tabloid press interested in shocking sound bites and the manufacture of fake news or overly biased reporting is slowly destroying civil public discourse and truthful reporting.
The media, politicians, and celebrities resorting to insults, name calling, put downs, ridicule, occasional profanity, and humiliation is a descent into school yard taunting, verbal assaults, and uncontrolled childishness. This approach makes rational discourse impossible, especially when one power hungry side is only interested in political correctness. It is a tragic tyranny when one dominant left wing ideology views everyone else with divergent views as the evil enemy who deserves destruction with verbal attacks and ostracism.
What this society badly needs is champions of moral or ethical free speech but the badly educated new generation seems to be poorly equipped ethically to know the difference between truthful discourse and irresponsible reckless free speech. The need for moral or ethical free speech is becoming apparent to many but fake morality and fake righteousness or dogmatic ideological censorship as a replacement is definitely not the answer.

Before I descend into a relatively pessimistic future outlook I want to point out the optimistic developments in the United States at the present time. The housing market is relatively stable if you don’t include a shortage of rental apartments at a reasonable rental rate. Car ownership is high and many can still afford the transportation even though the costs of maintaining cars are taking up a larger and larger percentage of earned income. The airlines and travel business seems to be doing fine.
Theft is not getting out of hand due to surveillance cameras almost everywhere and there is relatively successful law enforcement even though the incarceration rate is relatively high. There are affordable electronic security devices for those who have valuable things which can be readily stolen. Most humans who want social contact and readily available information can access the worldwide web with their computers or cellphones that don’t bust their budget.
Economic hard times are bringing humans together into smaller living quarters out of necessity and more humans are once again learning to live together under more stressful thrifty circumstances. The opportunities to improve oneself through selfeducation are available on the internet for all those courageous and determined individuals who want to make something more of themselves. Opportunity is not dead even though the traditional educational system is a colossal failure job wise and is morally corrupt with a leftist dogmatic ideology, especially in academia, dominating to the point where dissent and opposing views are being overtly suppressed.
Now we will delve into all the minuses of what’s left of the traditional culture and then end with an attempt at proposing measures which may improve things if courageously implemented from the top down by moral leadership.
Moral decay is what the major problem is with fewer and fewer examples of good role models with integrity to be found in leadership positions. It is sad to see too many celebrities with drug abuse problems, promiscuity, profanity, left wing dogmatic ideology, and bad marital relationships being paraded for all to see in the media. Historically the media has been and is being the source of moral decay with its portrayal of drug use, gambling, promiscuity, profanity, violence, and dysfunctional family life all overly dramatized to merely shock and entertain the viewing audience. The real problem with the media and entertainment industry is that it has replaced a tolerance for deviant behavior with a glorification of deviant behavior which has further led to a destruction of financially responsible moral family units and values.
With a celebrity president much rational objective discourse has been abandoned in favor of a tabloid press which sensationalizes most news events and even manufactures news events which has just added to the problem of fake news, fake information, and fake reviews. Trust in the media and in the leadership is at an all time low. Knowing what is true and what is not becomes ever harder to determine.
Many good reputations are being destroyed almost overnight and once destroyed it is almost impossible to regain that reputation back again. Trust in celebrities, academia, politicians, the media, and other leadership positions has been ruined and once trust is broken it can take a whole generation of moral behavior to regain that trust again. Chaotic or bad leadership is the result of moral decay, especially when globalist money is in charge of the media and economy with a left leaning dogmatic propagandized ideology which obliterates rational objective truth and tries to brainwash the world into politically correct subservience.
With the exception of the technological financially well off elite, the rest of the population becomes and remains more ignorant than ever. Computer software and artificial intelligence can play better chess and better poker than human players as it also begins to replace human jobs by the bucketful even in the traditional professional areas long thought to be safe from robotization.
Yes, soon we should have smarter robot parents, robot teachers, robot doctors, etc. who will be examples of moral integrity with the potential to be respected and admired. Putting robots in charge of raising a new generation of moral offspring is the ultimate solution to an army of dysfunctional parent role models which are so numerous in the United States and the world in general.
So there is hope in the future for humanity once it is aided and largely replaced by smart moral robots and computer software. Who will program and supervise the smart robots? The technological elite may prevail and unfortunately they are going to be almost the only remaining top down source of excellence and moral leadership. Yes, things should get better but it will be a rather long time coming and hopefully the constitution will not be bastardized and warped by an overly zealous left wing ideological judiciary during that duration.
If you are largely ignorant of technology with a poverty paycheck or on welfare then you unfortunately will just become a citizen of a nation largely populated by mostly sheepish humans ruled by corrupt politicians or a smart moral or immoral technological elite. Which alternative is chosen should be up to voting citizens but judging by historical precedent the rule will probably be with the money and left wing tyrannical ideology of the corrupt globalists.
I have tried to aid in this moral renaissance by proposing a secular moral code for the world to teach to all impressionable young minds in detail with abundant examples so that almost every 13 year old will know what is right and wrong when it comes to interacting with other humans. The secular moral code is- in non emergency situations- don’t destroy biodiversity, don’t lie, don’t be inefficient, don’t steal, don’t commit adultery if married, and don’t murder. The title is a current book by Mark R. Levin which covers the role of the press in the history of the United States. It is a real eye opener because it shows how the press worked hand in hand with political parties and was always biased to a certain extent politically.
Today the press is being increasingly dominated by one globalist ideology which favors big international banks, international corporations, and basically benefits the rich who are getting richer as the rest of the nation becomes poorer. The ideology currently in the name of Socialism will continue to decimate the middle class and threatens to make most of the nation predominantly a welfare class of relatively poor individuals with a low standard of living. The economic strength of the nation will be greatly reduced and it may end up in third world status along the way some day.
Academia, celebrities, big corporations, big media, and big government is overwhelmingly populated by democrats so the hotbed of this globalist ideology is the democratic party. The democrats continue their power grab by trying to ruin the reputation of humans who disagree with them politically with insults, put downs, name calling, humiliation, ridicule, black listing and essentially are engaged in as much censorship via the internet of opposing views as possible. The ultimate goal seems to be a one party nation which is brainwashed into subservience via the media and they hope to instill a fear of challenging the ruling party ideology.
Thank goodness we are still a ways from a one party nation with absolute control over our lives so there is still some hope that the globalist ideology will not reign supreme everywhere in the nation. Maybe technology and the technological elite will rescue us from an onslaught of one sided propaganda and a return to integrity, morality, and credibility in the media will occur but I am not holding my breath for this to happen any time soon.
We are currently in an era of pseudo or fake news and fake information in general. Will integrity, morality, and credibility be restored in the media which is quickly dying and is desperately trying to survive in an era of sound bites and short videos? Only time will tell and Trump is doing his share of the fighting the media with similar tactics of insults, put downs, name calling, ridicule, and humiliation. The media bemoan the lack of civility but they are the primary cause of it in their tabloid like coverage of the news and hatred of Trump.
Mark Levin is one of the few smart humans who is trying to maintain a traditional view of the constitution with all of it’s protected rights or liberty for the individual and not the overwhelming collectivism of the left wing tyrannical ideology. I highly recommend his book.

Trump is a maverick with an authoritarian, egotistical, overt or blatant, and impulsive leadership style badly suited to traditional politics with civil, consensus seeking, compromise oriented, openness to lobbying, and coordinating style of leadership.
He seems to prefer yes men and women and is not very good at selecting highly qualified political bureaucrats who also are willing to put into action his rather mercurial demands or orders. In effect, Trump seems to largely be a one man operation rather than a cohesive team effort in whatever he tries to do in the office of the presidency.
Trump is an unorthodox politician who is basically a one man operation being hated by most of academia, celebrities, Democrats, establishment media, and the leadership of the deep state.
One may even falsely conclude that he is hated by the globalists or the international banks and corporations but I disagree. Once Trump loses the presidency and the Democrats come back into power the left wing globalist ideology will continue to flourish with a vengeance and the authoritarian style started by Trump will assert itself with a vengeance only with the Democrats making all the power moves towards socialism and the further decline of the United States as a powerful economic global force.
The globalists want nothing better than weak national governments that they can control politically and force them to do their bidding as they centralize their money clout into fewer and fewer hands internationally.
If you think that Trump’s authoritarian style of leadership threatens the Democratic Republican constitutional government just wait until the Democrats start ruling in the same authoritarian style of leadership. It won’t be a pretty sight and the constitution will eventually be transformed beyond recognition or become highly impotent to stop the inevitable Democrat left wing ideological power grab.
While Trump is the president, the political chaos doesn’t bother me a bit. But once Trump’s presidency ends and the Democrats or ruling elite take over with their globalist left wing ideology, I fear that they will begin ruling with an iron fist and impose their socially disruptive laws on the nation which will then never recover from their stupidity.

Ideologically the establishment media seems to have a monopoly on the news and academia but fewer and fewer are reading newspapers and magazines and fewer and fewer are viewing cable news and TV in general. Even though on the surface it seems scary that opposing views, especially conservative ones, are being greatly censored the actual impact of establishment media on the public is on a rapid decline. The actual viewership of hour programs on a daily basis is often less than 1% of the population of the United States.
Humans are simply bored with repetitive pablum that repeats itself every hour and every day with the same boring themes. Investigative reporting and impartial analysis of newsworthy topics is practically nonexistent. Polls are unreliable and frankly they don’t change much from week to week or for that matter from year to year.
The establishment media which has tried sensational tabloid press techniques for over 2 years is in a downward slide both economically and viewership wise. They frankly don’t know what to do to attract new customers who are more involved with personal social media and texting on mundane topics. It can factually be stated that mass media for all practical purposes is dead and the ability to influence the minds of potential and existent customers in a massive way is no longer possible nor will it be possible in the near future.
The internet started to democratize information access to the point where the great freedom resulted in plagiarized music, movies, books, news, and pictures. So much freedom also resulted in hacked websites, scam artists, company clientele info stolen, etc. to the point where fake information, fake news, and fake reviews began to dim the line between truth and fiction so that few really fully trust the internet and media in the modern age.
Big tech which is interested in the bottom line gave priority exposure to big money corporations and big money media but it’s attempts at censorship to a large extent are futile and just makes the internet less interesting to surf.
I point this all out to make a very general statement and that is that trust in the media, in politicians, in celebrities, in academia, in leaders of the deep state, and elsewhere has suffered a severe blow. Once trust is lost and deception and lying have become the norm then regaining that trust is a long arduous task which has a large probability of not succeeding. Once trust is lost your reputation and integrity is in the gutter. It is almost impossible to regain a good reputation again.
In conclusion, the establishment media only seems to have a monopoly on news and information but the real impact on the public is small and decreasing with each passing day. The traditional establishment mass media could form a consensus of opinion and brainwash the public to go along. Those days of the power to influence most minds is declining fast.

So what has the United States to look forward to? I think it is a further decline into chaos resulting from moral decay which will only end in some form of ideological and actual tyranny to restore some semblance of order in society.
A democratic republic is not dead yet but polarization and an inability for Congress to reach consensus on many important issues has deadlocked the government into inaction. Executive actions to try and do something reasonable is being hampered in the courts and points to a stalemate or an inability to get things done such as the border crisis of illegal immigrants into the country.
Trumps amateur mercurial authoritarian style of leadership is not working very well in practice and there even is no consensus within the Democratic or the Republican parties themselves. Wherever you look there are serious problems.
A growing deficit, increasing healthcare costs, jobs lost to automation, a growing welfare class which includes many illegal immigrants, family breakdown, unfavorable trade balances, a dysfunctional educational system not adequately training for technological jobs, educational loan debt, and crumbling infrastructure all need more money to keep going and tax revenue is just not increasing.
More free health care, free education, and a guaranteed basic national income are the only new solutions which are being offered which all cost more money and really mean higher taxes. The quality of health care, the quality of education, and the quality of the workforce is lousy and no amount of money thrown at the problems will solve the poor health, bad education, and lazy ignorant workforce.
Yes, eating organic food with less sugar and toxic chemicals added could improve the health of pill popping Americans in the long duration. More technological education and getting teenagers to start working in their teens to develop a work ethic is a possible long duration solution but no one is proposing legal and financial incentives to bring about this desperately needed change. Throw more money at a problem which needs a solution first is no way to improve a bad situation which will only get worse with time. It seems the smart humans with real solutions and integrity are out to lunch and the lousy status quo reigns supreme.
Moral decay has resulted in much less trust in government, in politicians, in celebrities, the media, in the leadership of the deep state, and in the court system which includes the constitution. A sensationalist tabloid media and an ignorant amateur politician president have created a circus like atmosphere where it seems any crazy or deviant ideas and actions are televised for all to see.
Human reputations are destroyed at will with insults, put downs, name calling, ridicule, and humiliation. There seems to be no one in leadership positions with integrity intact but almost all have been mercilessly assaulted with slanderous and even libelous remarks which are grievances not redressed because it is the public domain where deceptions and lies are flourishing without prosecution.
Politics without a secular moral code to guide it is a circus of immorality which can only end in some form of tyranny to restore some semblance of order out of the chaos. A common consensus on moral principles is necessary for a nation to thrive. Without that moral consensus a well ordered peaceful society degenerates into immoral chaos.
Yes, it is time to include a secular moral code into the constitution and indoctrinate all impressionable young minds with it so that teenagers impulsively know what is right or wrong, moral or immoral. Eventually those moral teenagers will grow up to be politicians and leaders with integrity which is what our current crop of politicians and many leaders severely lack.

Cyber bullying / Social media witch hunting concept
The Mueller report showed no collusion with Russia after an extensive over two year probe so all the media bias about treason on the part of the president was proven to be false or a lie. If Trump was defending himself against a false claim of collusion then you could not consider him trying to terminate the probe as obstruction of justice since the accusation of collusion was an injustice to begin with.
You can only claim obstruction of justice if there was injustice to begin with and there was no treason or injustice. The corrupt media has been exposed justly for what it was. It was a lying band of miscreants devoted to trying to unjustly end Trumps presidency. The media behavior bordered on criminal collusion and was much more than just bullshit which is what the president called it.
More sinister is the irresponsible claim by a former CIA director, John Brennan, that Trump was committing treason. It is scary that there is evidence that the leadership of the FBI were politically motivated and also wanted to end the Trump presidency. The leadership of the Deep State was obviously in bed with the Democrats and not an impartial arm of the government.
The biased media no longer has any political credibility and can be considered to be just another arm of the Democratic party. Sadly objective fact filled information and news is getting harder and harder to find these days and it is no wonder that fewer and fewer humans are interested in corrupt politics and the corrupt media these days.
I would venture to say that trust in the government and media is at an all time low these days.

It is somewhat of a miracle that a celebrity real estate tycoon was elected president after fighting against the Republican political establishment and then having to fight against the Democratic establishment, the Democratic media establishment, and yes even the leadership of the deep state establishment. One man fighting the leadership of the establishment and yet ironically being a member of the establishment elite.
Say what you will about his flawed character or personality but he is by far the one with the most balls or courage to come down the pike in recent history. He has unmasked the corrupt ruthlessness and biases of the elite establishment and I think politics will never be the same old dribble as long as he is in office. It would be nice but Utopian to believe that one man could cure what ails the corrupt dysfunctional leadership of the United States but he has succeeded in unmasking the charade or deceptions of the leadership elite. Regaining obedient trust in the wisdom of the leadership has been shattered and the only way that the leadership will regain that trust is through smart actions and results which will benefit the nation in the long duration.
Trump has made skeptics out of many of us. Many of us now doubt that the leadership is working towards our benefit and not just for the benefit of the monied ruling elite. Already we are seeing some politicians promising everyone free medicine, free schooling, and more welfare goodies but not being too concerned about telling them where the bulk of the money will be coming from to pay for the free stuff.
Big money has always been influential and a priority in politics. In a global economy the Special interests of international banks and corporations is wielding a heavy foot on the fiscal and ideological policy of every nation including the United States.
It is not outside the realm of possibility that soon there will be a guaranteed national basic income for everyone because most will soon not be able to find work in an increasingly technological, robotized, and computer software workplace. There will probably be the technological ruling elite and most will be little more than obedient serfs strung out on feel good drugs and living off of a fixed low income. Yes, votes will then count and most will be voting for an increase in the national basic income. Unless their votes are reduced to a fraction of a vote, their luxurious demands will quickly bankrupt the welfare economy of the nation. Yes, we may wind up having to tax the robots and computer software that will be doing most of the labor or work and thinking in the nation and not tax the humans on welfare with no income earned.
This all sounds like a doomsday scenario but unless the mechanics of running the nation are radically changed a Democratic Republic will be transformed into an ideological one party tyranny from which there will be no return.

Big money has always been dominant in the stock market, big money used to be reliably powerful in politics before Trump’s election and will continue to be the prime motivating factor beyond his presidency, big money international corporations and banks are pushing leftist ideology and using it to discriminate against new workers who do not seem to fit the ideological mold. Big money technological companies like Google, Apple, Facebook, Amazon, and Microsoft are also censoring info based on big money media suggestions which are also heavily left wing biased. Big pharma and big agriculture is creating untrustworthy medication with disastrous side effects and bad nutrient deficient food. Big universities give an overabundance of degrees in job poor areas.
What is the result? The stock market is no longer a trusted viable long term investment and traditional stock brokers are having a hard time finding new gullible clients. No reputable politician has a chance to be elected into high office, especially the presidency. Small successful companies are soon bought up by conglomerates and competition and innovation is severely reduced. Internet technology companies are censoring controversial and conservative ideas making a single ruling party highly likely in the future where competition of ideas will be almost nonexistent. Medicine and non organic food is of very poor quality. A university degree no longer means a guaranteed job but probably a lifetime of paying back outrageously expensive student loans.
Due to fake information, fake news, and politically correct yet flawed ideology there is generally a distrust of the media, politicians, corporate leaders, big pharma, big agriculture, big education, and big celebrities.
Can trust in our large institutions and leadership ever be recovered? The answer is probably not for a long time since once trust disappears it takes as much as a new generation of censored leadership to regain some semblance of trust which now seems like a highly unlikely scenario. The powerful monied class will just get more powerful and corrupt with the passing of time and only a slow moral revival from the ground up can hope to revitalize the morality of the citizenry and then that of the leadership.
Yes, censorship will try to reestablish a sense of order from the chaos but bot censorship will be highly unjust and cynicism will prevail for a long time among the common humans in society. If alternative media is permitted to exist then it will become the source of a revitalized morality which will create a renewed sense of trust in what appears on the internet in certain selective places.
Globalism and globalist propaganda will reign supreme and minority voices will be suppressed in favor of a mind numbing propagandistic status quo. Future brainwashing will be on a scale heretofore unprecedented as a handful of companies will control all published info with a minimum of dissenting voices permitted.
Sanctuary cities, successful attempts at voter fraud such as illegal aliens being given the right to vote in some places and ballot stacking in others, convicted felons who have served their time have been given the right to vote in Florida, the law favors open borders, laws are legalizing pot, opioids, mind altering drugs, and heavy medication of over 30% of the population with psychiatric drugs are just some of the signs of further moral decay all creating more and more chaos or disruption with each passing year.
Only about 15 % of the population is metabolically healthy according to one report, a majority of the population is overweight, a vast majority are on medications of some sort, moral financially responsible family units are struggling to survive and those that still exist are often living from paycheck to paycheck with no emergency funds for backup emergencies. The United States is not only in a moral crisis but a financial one with deficit spending running out of control and getting worse with each passing year.
So is there any reason for some optimism? Yes, the population of developed nations is shrinking since not enough are born to replace those that die off. Robots and computer software is replacing many boring and repetitive jobs. Interactive audio visual internet education may supplement an archaic dysfunctional educational system. Smartphones means more internet communication and less social driving around. Self driving cars will replace the need for private transportation and waste less energy in the long duration since many goods will be delivered door to door more efficiently.
Sure, this means most will be living on some kind of welfare or welfare assistance and leading rather boring purposeless lives. But life has never been fair, especially for those with little or no money making ability.
Will there eventually be a revolt of the oppressed masses? Probably not because too many will be strung out on alcohol and drugs to really care much about the sad state of affairs around them. Existence for most will be the bare basics-food, alcohol, drugs, and sex. Not a pretty sight but a highly likely future reality for most judging by current trends on into the future. Can a nation survive under these conditions? Yes, but the government will have to be a tyrannical one which it is getting more tyrannical with each passing year.
Is a more optimistic future possible? Yes, I have written in detail about such an optimistic scenario in my books and encyclopedic blog but the question is -will enough humans read it all and how many will pick up the gauntlet and run with it, especially those hoping to be in future leadership positions?
The globalists are in charge and they probably know where they want the world to be twenty years from now and even further down the road. In the meantime, lead your life with integrity, morality, sincerity, dependability, competence, friendliness, courage, useful selfeducation, and contribute to causes that you believe in with some of your hard earned money. If you succeed in doing that then you will have made a small part of the world a better place to live in. May your struggle be as peaceful as possible. Best wishes.

The Society of Professional Journalists has 4 basic guidelines:
Seek truth and report it.

Be accountable and transparent.
Summarizing:
It can be said that the objective of the journalist should be to print the truth and relevant facts as concisely as possible without misleading by omissions or out of context information.
Humans mentioned should be respected and not harmed with unproven allegations and falsehoods which is basically libelous information.
The goal should be to write in the interests of the public good and not for personal gain.
Finally journalists should own up to what they print and honestly correct any errors or mistakes which they have made along the way. If ethical choices are made or opinions offered then they should be transparent and not stated in devious ways.
The reality is that much of the new generation doesn’t enjoy reading lengthy articles and some questionable information is being fed the public in sound bites or short bits of information which don’t always seem logically connected.
Political reporting is increasingly biased and opinions which aren’t backed up with factual information is becoming rampant. Very briefly there is a strong tendency towards a tabloid press approach, guilt by association, and character assassination with insults, put downs, name calling, ridicule, and humiliation all often used to destroy humans with political opinions differing from those of the left wing ideologues.
In effect, media is becoming much less objective and subjectively biased on all issues of national and foreign policy. Investigative reporting is seldom done to identify corrupt individuals, organizations, and practices so trust in the media is at an all time low. Big money has corrupted the objectivity of the media and there is no hope that circumstances will get any better in the near future as long a big tech, big banks, big corporations, big government, big academia, big celebrities, and big media are mostly in charge of information dissemination.
Big money is big power and it seems that the bigger things get the less there is justice and fair treatment of individuals with opposing views or facts and lifestyles. Mob rule is an injustice whether it is groups of individuals or groups of organized organizations who are doing it. Truthful civilized discourse is necessary in the media for an informed public. If there is too little rational truth to go around then we run the danger of falling into a misinformation glut soon followed by chaos or ideological unjust tyranny.
Unfortunately ethical journalists are becoming few and far between. Possibly because honest, truthful, or just journalism principles do not make the most money but often lead to a rather poor existence financially. Are there more important things than money? Definitely, but that money is not freely flowing to ethical journalists these days.
The necessary moral leadership is getting more corrupt or immoral and biased by the year. At the moment the future looks grim unless there is a grass roots revival in morality and justice for those with integrity and not for those with a ruthless desire for power at any cost. The ends should not justify the means but this Machiavellian approach seems to be currently in vogue by the media.

It is a fact that a celebrity businessman was elected to become the 45th president of the United States. Since his miraculous victory it is glaringly true that he does not have the traditional political skills to serve as a “competent” leader of the country nor a “competent” leader of the free world.
Trump was competent enough to get elected but his authoritarian style of leadership and the lack of trustworthy cabinet members and competent political followers makes it impossible for him to delegate authority effectively. He tries to get congress to implement his political policy which is often mercurial and deviates from detailed demands because frankly Trump is not an expert in detailed analysis and dogmatic follow through.
Most of Trumps general principles and ideas are valid and have a lot of merit but their implementation is where he fails miserably much of the time. It is mission impossible to state publicly that you want to drain the establishment swamp and then turn around and ask the establishment swamp to implement your anti establishment swamp policies.
Almost single handedly Trump has succeeded in turning the establishment media into a tabloid press of babbling biased opinions reacting negatively to his daily tweets and assaulting the public with malicious chatter trying to label Trump with every negative stereotype possible. Racist, misogynist, Islamaphobe, tyrant, traitor, liar, deranged, crazy, etc. are just some of the words that have been used to describe his actions and personality.
On the positive side Trump’s legacy will be his appointments to the Supreme Court which will delay the movement towards a dogmatic ideological left wing philosophy and government. I say delay only because academia, international corporations, the entertainment industry, and globalists in general are mostly left wing ideologues trying to transform the world with one kind of universal group think designed to maintain the status quo or keep the ruling monied elite in power.
If nothing else, Trump will go down historically as the most talked about personality in the world and whether you like it or not he has become the most famous and/or infamous person in the world and definitely a worldwide celebrity.

Media is undergoing a revolution or transformation. Gone will be the days when a whole nation watched transfixing programs for the masses or read newspapers and magazines.
Social media and mobile cellphones are personalizing the way humans are getting their news and information on what to read and buy. Without net neutrality only the rich and powerful corporations and businesses will have monopoly power over the internet to get their messages and propaganda across and be able to exclude the little humans or small voices competing to be heard.
The rich and powerful will probably eventually get their way and impose monopoly power over the internet so enjoy the freedom to choose while you still have the power to do so!!!
