Wilderness animals undergo great hardship when they begin starving due to habitat destruction and humans and organizations undergo great hardship during some economic downturns often precipitated by irresponsible government and business collusion.

Hardship can have predominantly external causes but sometimes personal bad actions such as drug or gambling addictions, illness, accidents, and financial irresponsibility can cause great personal hardship.

Spy: v. to secretly collect information on a human(s) which is frequently a government and/or organization

Since time immemorial spies have been used to gain competitive advantage in warfare and in business by uncovering military strategy ahead of time and uncovering business secrets. 

Tyrants have historically and are continuing to spy on the ruled to detect potential threats to their rule. Even democracies are beginning to spy on their citizens for political advantage and the detection of criminal activity, especially hackers and online criminals.

Nations spy on each other, especially China and the United States, who not only compete politically with different political systems but also are competing economically and want to know as many national and business secrets as possible.

Computers with sophisticated algorithms are doing most of the online spying and cameras almost everywhere are uncovering illegal activity where there might be some.

Immorality in society is trying to be combated by surveillance and the fear that you will be caught in illegalities by big brother or big sister watching you.

Unfortunately surveillance is not an adequate replacement for a moral secular society and without a commonly held secular morality the court system will become a sham catering to those with money and not the truth.

The truth is that citizen informants are the most potent weapon for illegality and if a criminal enterprise starts getting out of hand then there should be protected  whistleblowers who can unmask any cover up that may be going on.

Invasion of privacy is of no concern to me because if you are functioning within the law then there is frankly nothing to be greatly concerned about. Yes, if you are a raving racist, hate monger, terrorist, or child pornographer then you have something to fear and you probably will be censored even from the internet.

The right to moral free speech or the right to criticize the government and corrupt institutions should be the most guarded of rights and once the internet starts censoring moral free speech then we are in a terrible predicament and in a state of tyranny.

Follow the money and you will root out corruption optimally. I strongly advocate open source government, open source monopoly businesses, and open source unions. That means full financial disclosure of the income of politicians and their relatives, full financial disclosure of monopoly businesses and monopoly unions. Information is power, especially financial information, and it is time to give this vital financial information to the public via the internet.

Politicians and monopoly enterprises should have no confidential privacy and it is high time that the public has a right to spy on these leadership moneybags.

Organization: n. trying to achieve a common goal(s) with a group(s) of humans

If you want to have a larger impact on society then join an organization of like minded individuals. There are professional, business, charitable, religious, educational, and political organizations which are trying to spread their viewpoints and are impacting society in the process.

The media is also impacting society by promoting certain points of view and  writers are involved in the process. There is a concentration of power in the hands of fewer and fewer media experts as newspapers, magazines, and radio is rapidly declining in popularity and a diversity of opinion on topics is what suffers in the process.

Yes, the diversity of opinion still exists on the internet but mass media is increasingly becoming homogenized and pushing basically the same propaganda to the gullible public and seldom coming up with real solutions to our political, economic, and educational problems.

The biggest problem is one of size or bigness of media, banks, business, unions, and government which functions very inefficiently with too many special interest laws which create great injustice in society and suppress the equal opportunity to thrive in society. Concentration of wealth in fewer and fewer hands or powerful organizations is what prevents just solutions to problems for those starting out fresh in life. Most of the good things in life have been claimed by special interests and they are determined to see to it that their privileged or monopoly status does not change.

Bigness corrupts morality and investigative reporting by the press which potentially can bring about accountability and reform is almost non existent in the mass media. Whistleblowers are ruthlessly suppressed and not protected and this creates considerable fear in those wishing to expose immorality to the general public.

Politicians have always been deceptive saying one thing and doing the exact opposite or in effect lying to the public. More and more political immorality is being tolerated and squeaky clean reputations are no longer demanded from them. Political campaigns are frequently examples of gutter politics designed to bring out hateful feelings about opponents and ad campaigns present outright lies to be consumed by the emotionally biased public.

The real problem is the moral decay of secular society which is being reflected in the moral decay of the leadership. It seems that fewer and fewer are outraged by lies and have come to accept them as a fact of modern day living.

The secular moral education and useful technological education necessary for the 21st century is not being taught to the vast majority of citizens and the result is that the future of the nation is in jeopardy. A nation comprised of mostly brainwashed, submissive, socially handicapped, poor humans is what I foresee as a plausible future.

Subsidize: v. to help a subset(s) such as an organization(s) and/or an activity(s) financially

Who truly needs help in this society or needs a subsidy?

Wilderness,

the destitute and also unemployed,

the chronically sick or handicapped and elderly,

a healthy truly organic food supply,

a healthy environment with safety and pollution protections,

free internet audio visual technological education for anyone on welfare,  

independent scientific research,

sustainable businesses, and

nonprofits who are already being helped enough with tax breaks.

There should not be subsidies or tax breaks for anything else although some will argue that subsidies are needed for strategically and militarily important goods and services and subsidies for businesses suffering from “unjust” competition abroad.

I would also advocate no taxes for nonpolluting or sustainable businesses but maintain taxation for those continuing to pollute the environment and pure CO2 is not a pollutant. If CO2 is a pollutant than there should be a tax on all of us for merely breathing! Expanding wilderness and planting more trees and greenery will take care of the excess CO2.

If you are associating with the proverbial losers then the prospects for your life are not that good.

Whatever your interests there is probably an association, club, or organization which is trying to promote what you like. Join the association and connect with like minded humans to your mutual benefit.

Nothing demotivates humans more than a leader who seems to be out for himself at the expense of others and does not give credit to followers who deserve it or unjustly favors certain followers. A leader must be trustworthy and ethical and that basically means that he or she is honest and sincere or doesn’t lie and deceive in interactions with followers because telling the truth is the bond which makes efficient interaction possible and makes successful teamwork a reality.

Understandable concise communication which makes it obvious what a follower is expected to do and demanding accountability for a task with giving needed help and encouragement during the task is vital to maintaining trust.  When organization goals and tasks are not properly communicated and followers are left to drift on their own then this destroys a trusting relationship.

THEY HAVE AN OPTIMISTIC CAN DO PHILOSOPHY AND BEHAVIOR TO MATCH IT WITH PROPER ACTIONS

A good leader is confident in his or her ability and creates confidence in others with a dynamic optimistic attitude backed up with relevant actions. He or she isn’t afraid of change, will take reasonable risks, has a sense of urgency, and continues to inspire followers on a regular basis.

THEY HAVE LEARNED HOW TO DELEGATE AUTHORITY

Good leaders have trained one or more of their followers to take over the responsibility of leading others so that they can take a vacation and not be overly concerned about work not continuing in an efficient manner. Good leaders have one or more trustworthy followers who can take over their job if they are promoted in the organization or if they decide to take some time off from work.

THEY KNOW HOW TO SELFMOTIVATE HUMANS

They know that talented selfmotivated workers are the foundation of a successful organization and invest their time and energy in improving the motivation and performance of their employees.

THEY UNDERSTAND THAT THEY DON’T KNOW EVERYTHING AND CONTROL THEIR EGO

The successful leader does not portray themselves as a know it all commander in chief or leader of yes humans. They listen much to their employees and encourage input before they make a leadership decision which is appropriate to the circumstance.

THEY UNDERSTAND THAT LEADERSHIP REQUIRES IMPROVING RELATIONSHIP SKILLS

They realize that being lead is much different from leading which must give more attention to human relationships. Not only are the leaders needs and aspirations important but the needs and aspirations of employees must also be dealt with. You need to treat introverts slightly different than extroverts and you should also be aware of the good and bad relationships between employees and resolve them if possible.

If there is an employee who is just not communicating effectively with others and is becoming a demotivational force in the organization then the wisest thing to do may be to fire them and replace them with a more socially competent one. Teamwork means that all employees should be pulling in the same direction and benefiting the organization and not being the weak link in the chain of cooperation.
