THE TRUTH ABOUT INFLUENCE ON THE INTERNET*

SuperHeroInfluence-12341

THE DIFFICULTY OF BECOMING A NEW INFLUENCER ON THE INTERNET WITH A GOOD GOAL(S)!!!

Start from scratch with little or no money and a great idea(s) and the chances that you will succeed in promoting your passion(s) in life successfully are highly unlikely.

First of all a powerful successful organization has monetary rewards to give all those who work in promoting their agenda,

they have prestigious humans or influencers on their staff or who act as affiliates which further their credibility,

they can run a membership campaign soliciting new members to their cause or causes,

they can have an advertising wing which promotes their goal(s) and certifies other members who agree to propagandize also on their behalf for a fee if necessary,

they can get priority placement on search engines,

they can sell brand related goods such as mugs, t-shirts, sport apparel, cosmetics, jewelry, etc. which disseminates their brand recognition worldwide,

They can tempt you with overblown promises of possible prizes, big, money or give coupons and free or discounted offers,

they can host house parties, media tours, listening tours, music concerts, political gatherings, sports competitions, parades, host or participate in charities with much public appeal and participate in conventions and fairs,

In effect, wherever there is mass public appeal they can host it or become participants in the public activity and promote their brand(s) or cause(s).

In effect with money and the right organizational structure backed by influencers and even celebrities you can have a powerful impact via the internet and grow and flourish as an organization.

All the above are possible with money and influence and without money or influence to start off with the odds are greatly to your disadvantage.

THE TRUTH ABOUT VALUATION+

Valuation-Advisory-Chart

Valuation: n. approximating a degree of desirability and/or usefulness of a subset(s) as measured by its equivalence in (money and/or ingus) and/or (prestige and/or worth)

In most cases a valuation is determining a price for information and/or goods and/or services or ingus.

The valuation of someone’s prestige and worth is a more intangible approximation or assessment but someone’s professional salary or pay is frequently used as a valuation of a human’s worth in the marketplace.

An even more intangible evaluation exists when we are trying to evaluate the worth of a good family relationship, a good personality, good morals, and one’s general usefulness to society in general or usefullness to a group of individuals to whom they may belong.

Not every human characteristic has a valuation or a money equivalent established for it but we generally know that honest, sincere, dependable, competent, friendly, and moral humans have a valuation which is greater than for dishonest, insincere, undependable, incompetent, immoral, unfriendly, and even criminal humans.

The cost of criminal behavior to society can be largely measured statistically and relatively reliably but the cost to society of a dishonest, insincere, undependable, incompetent, and unfriendly employed human is not statistically measurable except perhaps in the dearth of friends or absence of close friends which they have.

The mental anguish, anxiety, bad feelings, and misery caused by dysfunctional personalities only has a subjective ball park valuation but all of us make a decision to ostracize such humans from our lives and either try to ignore them or chose to have as little interaction with them as possible, especially if they are a boss whose salary we are dependent on.

A valuation of something is really a judgment of how much worth something is to us or a group subjectively and personally.  If the valuation is rather great then we may try to further associate with that human and if our valuation is not great then we either chose to ignore them or ostracize them from our lives as much as possible.

It is the duty and responsibility of parents, relatives, friends, teachers, coaches, and mentors to be as honest, sincere, dependable, competent, moral, and friendly as possible so that they are good role models for the next generation of offspring. Unfortunately celebrity models and admired humans in their professions have great flaws are very bad role models for young offspring and aspiring adults who want to be in a leadership position some day.

THE TRUTH ABOUT PROMOTION+

How_to_ask_for_a_job_promotion-300x300

Promotion: n. motivating and helping a subset(s) to grow in importance frequently by increasing rank and/or privilege

Advertising of information, goods, and services can be thought of as being a promotion but the most common usage is when you are promoted to a better or more responsible position in an organization or job.

Human promotion frequently corresponds to an increase in status or rank and it is usually highly desirable by humans who want to be higher on the social pecking order.

Not everyone has a desire to be promoted and have a responsibility over more and more humans. Some employees don’t care if they are never promoted in their jobs to positions of management and this is perfectly acceptable because not everyone wants to manage other humans and be responsible for their behavior.

In school promotion from one grade to the next exists and most humans desire to be promoted that way but for some humans being promoted in life is not something they all desire. There are plenty of humans who just want to put in a good days work and don’t desire in the least to be leaders or managers of other humans who are often difficult to manage in this modern era of many disobedient, irresponsible, and somewhat selfish personalities.

Some businesses have poorly paid lower management positions where you theoretically have higher status but have to suffer through commuting to far away time consuming boring management conferences and making less money than the humans whom you manage. Promotion in these businesses is actually a sacrifice of your time, money, and energy and very few wish to be promoted in this way.

THE TRUTH ABOUT VALUE***

Wordle-value

Value: n. corresponding to a degree of desirability and/or usefulness of a subset(s) as measured by its equivalence in (money and/or ingus) and/or (prestige and/or worth)

Something which is valuable is frequently desirable and has some usefulness. The value of information, goods, and services is frequently measured in money as well as prestigious positions in society.

Utilitarianism is an attempt to translate everything into monetary value but there are still things like morality and good human personality traits which are hard to quantify and they are what can be considered to be intangible assets. Immorality and bad human personality traits can be considered to be intangible liabilities.

A good personal reputation is of great value to society and a business operated by moral humans will usually also have a good reputation which can translate more readily into profit or money.

A properly educated, talented, industrious, thrifty, and moral citizen is a great asset to society but we must recognize that we also have to deal with those who are badly educated, mediocre in talent, lazy, profligate, and relatively immoral. A society which begins rewarding the later unjustly is on its way to decay, self destruction, and bankruptcy.

The one drawback of utilitarianism is that it is sometimes very bad in evaluating the value of long duration assets such as wilderness. It may not be obvious that biodiversity and wilderness is a vital safety net of healthy food when domesticated plants and animals become unhealthy and bad for human consumption.

Wilderness now is not making money for very many humans who are not in the tourist business but that does not mean that it has very little value and can be destroyed and exploited at will. Wilderness will have very great value to future generations which the present generation just simply is not adequately aware of.

The value of something goes up greatly when it is scarce or rare and we simply can’t let society make wilderness so rare that it effectively will no longer exist on this precious planet.

The tragedy is that the value of something is only realized once it is gone or has disappeared. Human death should not be the only source of human grief. The death of wilderness should be grieved for even more!!!

What do we value the most? The things which we spend most of our time, energy, and money on are frequently the things which we value the most. In fact we may also value time, energy, and money so anything in this life can have value to a human. We value what we want, do, and have and also frequently value what others want, do, and have.

At one extreme humans value money and material possessions and at the other extreme monks value mental activity which uses very little money and material possessions. Most of us fall somewhere in between and value money, material possessions, other humans, human behavior, and our beliefs and opinions.

Frequently most of us have our own priorities in life and we spend the most time, energy, and money on the most important priorities in our lives. Some have uncontrolled priorities like compulsive addictions which sidetrack a balanced healthy life and we impulsively value an unhealthy physical and mental existence as long as it lasts.

Some of us value things which we can’t have or probably will never have and spend much time thinking about them and even trying to get them.

Finally the goals which we make in life both conscious and impulsive are an indication of what we value or want in life and we spend much time, energy, and money on trying to achieve those goals.

Ingus: n. information and/or goods and/or services

THE TRUTH ABOUT PRESTIGE

images

Prestige: n. large respect and admiration achieved for a subset(s) such as a human(s) and/or product(s) resulting from (quality and/or success) and/or (influence and/or wealth) and/or (good deeds and/or talent)

You can have a prestigious product or human who is respected and admired greatly. The product may also be a status symbol and represent the highest possible quality available. Prestigious leaders are presidents, tyrants, heads of big business, military heads, religious heads, and celebrities of all kinds.

Prestigious humans frequently earn their prestige through personal effort but there are others who inherit great wealth and try to demonstrate their prestige with the prestigious products with which they surround themselves with and really haven’t earned the prestige which they have.

Most prestigious humans have considerable talent and very good memories and prestigious products are relatively rare and frequently very expensive.

THE TRUTH ABOUT AMBITION***

Ambition-is-so-powerful-a-passion

Ambition: n. setting of a goal(s) with an intense desire and it is usually a goal(s) with a relatively great importance in society.

Many humans confuse ambition with making and achieving any goal such as owning a big house, luxurious car, yacht, traveling to many places, seeing interesting events in different countries, doing different sports, or in effect making a bucket list of things to do and trying to do them all. This abundant activity is really not true ambition but doing a large quantity of rather mundane things in your life which other humans with enough money can also do relatively easily.

True ambition for humans with great memory for names and events is making loftier goals, setting your sights high, and trying to achieve prestigious leadership positions in politics, business, military, religion, and relatively big organizations such as non profits. Those who have a very good memory and ambition can aspire to excelling in careers such as medicine, law, science, engineering, computer science, and acting.

Too many are delusional and aspire to celebrity status in the media and music. Some humans just want to ambitiously make much money and rather quickly so they try to get a prestigious position on Wall street or try to become a leading banker.

Many are very ambitious with little inborn talent or average memories and think that through hard work and persistence that they will achieve their lofty goals only to discover a sea of disappointment, failure, and premature burnout. You can become a leader in a big pond or a small one and if you feel that you don’t have enough natural talent to make it nationally or internationally then settle for becoming a leader locally.

The fascinating truism about ambition is that when you achieve your goals you are never satisfied and want more success or even greater prestige or celebrity status. Historically great conquerors and leaders unsatisfied with their great achievements and power tried to become immortal gods and failed miserably. Our true ambition would be to live forever and knowing that this is impossible we hope that our celebrity is so great that future generations will remember us forever for our achievements.

Even greatly propagandized written works like the bible and other religious works will not live forever except perhaps on some digital storage device out of reach for most in the general public.

The archaic written word or language is changing and religious writings need some serious updating if they are to keep their relevance in the 21st century.

WILL STATUS SYMBOLS MAKE YOU HAPPY?

View of the Playboy Mansion, owned by US

Many want to be respected and admired and think that the way to do it is to get the right status symbols in society. There are three basic categories of status symbols and they are social, body, and material status symbols.

Socially having or controlling much wealth is the biggest status symbol and you can inherit wealth or get it with enough effort and ability by getting a good education and entering a prestigious profession and rising to the top of the professional ladder.

Inheriting great wealth without the right education  and not having good human skills frequently means that you don’t know how hard it is to earn that much wealth and you may end up spending it all on material possessions and a hedonistic lifestyle of shallow relationships frequently peppered with a liberal use of alcohol and drugs. You will eventually deplete your wealth with profligate spending and wind up poor and very unhappy because you never learned how to make much money on your own.

Making much money with a prestigious profession probably means that you have much responsibility and will be working very hard and may not be wise enough to devote some of your valuable time on family and close friends. The result may be that you are professionally successful but have a failed marriage or worse yet some poorly educated and socially inept offspring who can’t make it on their own in life. One or more failed marriages and delinquent offspring will add much unhappiness to your life even though you have professional social status.

Especially many women feel that being as attractive as possible body wise is the key to social status and landing a good husband. Obsession with body weight, cosmetics, and fashion trying to stay as beautiful as possible fades with age and if you don’t have a career or good job to rely upon many body conscious women lead some very unhappy lives in old age when their external beauty fades. Attractive celebrities, attractive politicians, attractive sports stars, and attractive media professionals all make life very unhappy for the average citizen trying to achieve or maintain those unrealistic social standards of external beauty.

Wealthy or poor, material possessions are a status symbol in society and many mismanage their finances and go into great debt trying to have a big house, big car, expensive clothes, and the latest gadgets all on a shoestring budget. Impulsive shopping by both men and women is the cause of much unhappiness in humans reaching out for those material status symbols.

Finally, whether rich or poor the key to being truly admired and respected or having a good status in society is being honest, sincere, and reliable in your human interactions with family, close friends, and coworkers. Reliable means that you fulfill most of your promises and show up on time when you promise to do so. In other words you can be trusted with your promises. Trust and reliability is the bond which makes intimate successful human interactions possible and if you are the lying or deceptive kind then you will never be admired and respected by other humans, especially if you are in a leadership position and want to remain there.

Be a trustworthy and reliable human and you will have good status with others whether you are rich or poor and you probably also will have optimized your happiness!!!!!!
