The media no longer has a mass captive audience willing to spend a half an hour or an hour of their time on the same publication or media device because they are used to instant gratification and have short attention spans. Unless you have been taught to love reading, reading is a rather tedious task and verbosity has been and still is a fault of both writers and video commentators. In a word- boring.
Desperate to try and maintain readership the press has become a tabloid press with emotional sensationalism, much biased opinion, and quite a bit of fake or untrue information heavily laced with a globalist ideology and what apparently passes for political correctness. Humans frankly no longer trust what they read, hear, or see so there is a credibility crisis in the elite press or media.
Many prefer to spend time on social media with friends, playing games, and often use search engines or keywords to find information which they are interested in at the moment. So brainwashing via mass media is no longer possible and humans are retreating into their own worlds on the internet.
Conclusion: Mass media is just as good as dead and the internet has killed it.

The historical tabloid press was and still is a sensationalized form of current events information replete with seemingly unbelievable statements, events, and deceptive pronouncements designed to impulsively promote a buying gullible customer who wants their emotions titillated.
Today the establishment media is following in the footsteps of the tabloids and becoming more sensational and raunchier by the month. Investigative reporting and a factual reporting of current events is becoming a dying art and is being largely replaced by blatant biased opinions and editorials often accented with insults, put downs, name calling, humiliation, and ridicule of humans with opposing opinions.
Brief sometimes shocking sound bites and talking heads repeating their communal ideology is dominant in the mass media today and their listeners and viewers are decreasing in number as each human retreats into their isolated social media, cellphone world.
How long will this form of unprincipled malicious verbal combat and censorship be tolerated? Since news is increasingly a popularity contest with viewer statistics having a dominant influence, the answer is that abusive verbal combat will last as long as the public does not become bored stiff with the crappy repetitious disinformation or propaganda being published and broadcast.
The masses have always been partial to comforting lies rather than the truth so hoping that comforting lies will diminish in the future is highly unlikely. It seems that the artificial intelligence bots are becoming more intelligent than even human debaters so I see salvation in censorship by media software bots who will eventually tell humans what to say and eventually what to think.
Of course the humans in control of these bots will ultimately determine the information inputted into the information processing system so some form of censoring ideology will have to exist and it will be human determined to some extent. If you input trashy information into a software program then your output will also be trashy information so some reliable human or computer algorithm is necessary to exclude the unreliable garbage information from being inputted.
To regain and maintain some degree of trust in the reporting of news, important questions to ask and answer are- How factual is the information? How trustworthy is the author or source of the information? Has the trustworthiness lasted many years? What is the goal of the article? What are the reputable sources and information which seems to back up the purpose or goal of the article or presentation? Will this information be promoted via podcast, video, or written format and where will it appear?
Note: the objective purpose of any communication should be to promote the truth about factual information but the reality is that ideology often plays a dominant role in the communication and reality is often misrepresented to fit a politically correct mold. Effective useful communication means that the facts are truthful and the communicator is trusted as somewhat of an expert in his or her field of expertise.
An alternative media with anti monopolistic information censorship and ideology has arisen and is doing rather well but it will probably never become what used to be the establishment media and widely respected by the average human. Once trust in the establishment media is lost it is almost an impossible task to get it back any time soon.
It takes more aggressive searching to find and use alternative media but thankfully it is still there and surviving if not thriving. As long as someone is permitted to exercise moral free speech on the internet and present opposing views in a civilized manner, I see no great need to panic and believe that all media is just going to become and stay a biased cesspool of censored unprincipled politics, news, and general information.
The European Union is already censoring free alternative media so please support free alternative media with your money because the same fate may befall the United States alternative media in the not too distant future.
Some sense of order will probably arise out of the current chaos so promote with your money all the sources which you feel are as truthful as is reasonably possible.
Bots can also be stupid or malicious and try to trap you in an isolated echo chamber of information which you like rather than also expose you to information which you should know about to be truly informed. Media bots whose main purpose is to make money try to keep you satisfied with the world which you like or agree with so historical brainwashing by bots this time will continue into the foreseeable future.
Artificial intelligence is becoming smarter than the average human so bots will rule the media of the future to a very large extent.

Ann Curry makes a plea for a return to truthful journalism in an era of big money corporate control over the establishment media and internet. Establishment media is incredibly biased and opinionated and often uses dubious statistical results and opinion polls to back up their propaganda which has existed for years and is mostly left wing biased. Advertising revenue and viewing statistics largely determine what is presented to the public and the ultimate result is that the information keeps you ignorant and uninformed on facts but is rich in politically correct ideology.
To put it bluntly, most media is no longer trusted and restoring that trust will have to take many years of truthful reporting or the establishment media will never be trusted again.
The only way to restore credible journalism is to support credible internet media with your monetary donations or subscriptions and promote alternate truthful media or websites with tens of thousands of subscribers.
The truth is not popular and is either right or wrong and if you pursue it then you will probably soon begin to call yourself an independent who agrees with the truth that the left and right have to offer or the best truth that the conservative and liberal have to offer.

Emotional intelligence: n. the ability to accurately assess a human’s emotional circumstance and to proceed to communicate appropriately and/or to motivate samer human to achieve a goal(s)
Emotional intelligence (EQ) is the ability to impulsively control your impulsive desires to express intense anger, fear, hatred, jealousy, frustration and not offend or greatly threaten the human whom you are communicating with and not stimulate them into defensive intense emotional reactions. It is the ability to communicate these “negative” emotions where appropriate in a calm controlled way.
EQ is also the ability to confidently communicate loving, caring, empathetic, praising, or inspiring emotions which motivate a human to do their best at achieving a goal(s).
Emotional intelligence can be used to do good and/or bad things and to some extent it is also the ability to manipulate other humans to achieve desired goal(s). That is why managers with high emotional intelligence are sought after in business and institutional enterprises.
Sociopaths are sometimes also good at manipulating gullible humans and they could also be said to have a high degree of EQ but they lack integrity so they are severely handicapped socially and they are usually never admired and respected by others with integrity.
Propagandists, dictators like Hitler, and politicians in general have high EQ and the more unscrupulous kind name call or stereotype and associate ideas and humans with angry, fearful, and hateful reactions motivating humans into action with these “negative” emotions. They optimize human motivation with both “positive” and “negative” emotions and are still idolized by brainwashed devoted followers. Hitler was an evil genius with a high EQ who motivated vast populations into obedient behaviors with anger, fear, hatred, pride, and love of the “fatherland”. He optimized the motivation in his Aryan hoards totally devoted to the conquest of the world.
Parents with high emotional intelligence usually have offspring with high emotional intelligence because it is learned from parental role models and personal experience with other good role models. Emotional intelligence can be acquired through extensive interactions and experience with a variety of humans throughout a lifetime and those who mostly learn from personal human experience and not much from parents or school role models are usually mature experienced middle aged and older humans who only acquire EQ late in life.

Propaganda: n. the propagation of dogma with claims of truth but in fact the dogma frequently has some or many lies and/or deceptions
When you advertise dogma then you are in fact propagandizing and much political and religious dogma has some or even many lies and deceptions.
In Nazi Germany the Aryan race was advertised as being superior to other races and made the Germans and other Aryans feel superior to others and so many were willing to make unreasonable sacrifices for their nations. White supremacy or white supremacists are an outgrowth of this propaganda which tries to entice white humans into thinking that they are in some way superior to others, can put down other non-white humans, and are therefore deserving of the better things in life.
The real truth is that there are many individual superior or talented humans in every race and superiority should not be thought of as a group characteristic common to all members of the group.
Some forms of propaganda are called the big lie which means that if you repeat a tempting lie publicly frequently enough then many humans will begin to believe it is true.
Today propaganda is much more prevalent in advertisements of products which untruthfully claim to make you beautiful, healthy, lose weight, and give you sex appeal.
BS can be thought of as a form of personal propaganda which many gullible humans fall for but it is really common lies and deceptions which are not advertised publicly.
Politicians and advertisers are not the only ones who can be blamed for propaganda but you too are engaging in your own personal form of propaganda if you lie or are being deceptive in the same way to more than one human. The important difference is that you can sometimes get away with public propaganda but if you try your own personal propaganda and are caught then your reputation is destroyed and humans will start to avoid you as much as possible and you will be ostracized from their circle of friends.
Politics, religion, social groups, and many advertisers are guilty of propaganda which has claims of superiority that are frequently just not totally true if analyzed for factual realities. We unfortunately live in a world saturated with propaganda or filled with many myths, lies, and deceptions. The truth is frequently not pleasant to hear so propaganda reigns supreme in much human activity.
I understand why propaganda is so dominant and popular in society but that still does not discourage me from fighting against propaganda in all its forms and shapes with the truth.

Subversion: n. trying to radically change or destroy a human organization(s)
Ideally we should only have surveillance of humans who are suspected of criminal and subversive behavior. Ideally the privacy of law abiding citizens should not be under surveillance because we may have personal or commercial secrets which give us a competitive advantage over others. The world is a very competitive place where almost everyone is trying to survive and prosper in their own manner.
Unfortunately due to an increase in immorality in western society everyone is suspected of criminal and subversive activities and there will soon be cameras and microphones almost everywhere including personal homes and buildings housing human organizations. Eventually we can all look forward to the day when we will have physical implants on our bodies to monitor our every movement, communication, and thoughts. Fear of getting caught or saying the wrong thing will guide our behavior and not an impulsive moral code with which we have been indoctrinated as young offspring.
This is a scary prediction of what kind of a future awaits future generations if we all succumb to an automaton type of existence where we are all led like sheep through our daily lives doing everything which authority figures request from us. A true master slave relationship in society may eventually exist between the ruling and ruled class but the truth is that we are already slaves of human propaganda which permeates society and deceives almost all the humans in it and predictably will only get stronger with the passage of time.
I am also guilty of subversive activity because I am trying to radically change society in this world by publishing the truth as I see it. Fortunately the truth is not something the general public wants to hear nor will I make any money publishing the truth so that the power structure has little to fear from my writing because money is power and I don’t think I will have enough of it in my lifetime to make a significant impact on the world.
Words and ideas are sometimes more powerful than money or the sword so I am not entirely convinced that my writing will not influence more than a handful of human lives for the better.

Most humans have been brainwashed into wanting things which they would like to have but probably won’t have and isn’t even desirable to have.
Most humans would like to be loved, admired, and respected and have so much money that they could afford all the luxuries that this world has to offer. The result is that there are plenty of deceivers promising you what you want but can’t have for a price.
Humans want to be beautiful and there are plenty of people pushing their products deceiving you in the process. They promise beauty with the right cosmetics, the right food, the right jewelry, the right product, and fashionable clothes which are all for sale and will make you poorer.
Many humans would like to be rich with minimal effort and as fast as possible and there are plenty of deceivers promising you instant wealth with gambling, the lottery, credit cards, get rich internet and real estate scams, and the stock market. The odds are against you and it is a sure way to get poorer or lose more of what little money you have.
Many young humans would like to be famous and there are plenty of deceivers promising celebrity status if you play music, watch movies and learn to act, if you participate in sports, and if you get involved in politics. Most celebrities are beautiful and handsome and have some inborn talent with good memories and have succeeded by working much at their profession. If you don’t have these qualities aim for more realistic practical goals in life which you can achieve so you don’t consider yourself to be a failure in life for not reaching or being able to reach the pinnacle of celebrity success.
Many young humans would like to have a good job and career and are deceived into getting a liberal arts education and college degree which upon graduation will have very few jobs in the technological age.
Many humans want to be healthy and there are plenty of deceivers pushing fad diets, fad drinks, supplement pills, weight reduction pills, health gyms, prescription drugs, and health spas few of which will keep you healthy or make you healthy. Eat a great variety of nutritious certified organic food and you will stay healthy for a long duration with a little personalized exercise such as walking fast or doing body movements for about 20 minutes about three times a week.
Many young humans would like to find the ideal mate or sexual partner and there are plenty of deceivers pushing no cost or low cost dating services, pornography, and escort services to improve your relationships. Many don’t realize that honesty and sincerity and a good job and good personality is what will increase the probability of a good marriage and a few good friends.
Many humans are desperately poor, depressed with the life they are living, and bored and there are plenty of deceivers legal and illegal pushing drugs to make you feel great or better instantly for a price. Drugs are an illogical wrong addiction which will make you poorer and may even lead to desperation, mental illness, and death.
Many look for meaning in their life and want to live a morally good or right one. There are many evangelicals offering you purpose, happiness and success in life if you listen to their advice and support their organization with money which will make you poorer and the increase in relationship skills is minimal.
Many would like to be successful in business and there are plenty of new books and new franchises deceiving you at discount prices that you will be a successful businessman or businesswoman. Almost all fail and lose their money because the odds are against you with cheap wholesale prices which only the big rich franchises can get.
If you have a want or a desire in life there are always deceivers ready to dangle it in front of you and promise it to you for a price. The truth is that most successful worthwhile goals in life require a moral character, some inborn talent, and a dedicated conscientious input of much time, energy, money, and the right kind of selfeducation and/or official useful education which has realistic application in an existing job.
