THE TRUTH ABOUT INJUSTICE*

injustice-versus-justice-road-sign-illustration-design-over-white-background-30103257

Injustice: n. an immoral and/or wrong distribution of ingus and/or rewards and/or punishments

If it is immoral then it is an injustice and if there are wrong rewards and punishments or an unjust distribution of (ingus) (information and/or goods and/or services) then there is injustice. Ingus distribution is unjust if it has not been earned or if it is not distributed as basic needs to the truly needy who are destitute and also unemployed.

Justice and injustice is a complicated subject which you can pursue further if you wish by referring to my evergreen truth book JUSTICE.

THE TRUTH ABOUT UNDESERVE*

2842p_0c_1b

Undeserve: v. to not earn a punishment(s) and/or reward(s) for a behavior(s) but getting a punishment(s) and/or a reward(s)

You have probably seen instances of the undeserving getting rewarded and not having earned the reward and being punished and not having earned the punishment. Most notorious are undeserved compliments which you get from acquaintances or strangers on your looks or gifts which are sometimes inappropriate yet complimented nevertheless.

Offspring are ones who get reprimanded the most for misbehavior unjustly in a family with many offspring. Sometimes offspring will blame someone else for their misbehavior rather than themselves and often succeed in passing on the blame to another sibling.

THE TRUTH ABOUT REWARDS***

tip-rewards

Reward: v. to do and/or give a usually pleasant subset(s) which is done and/or given for achieving a goal(s) and/or for doing a (good and/or right) and/or legal subset(s)

You can be rewarded with money, information, goods, or services for reaching a goal(s) and these are the most obvious form of a rewards but you can also be rewarded with a privilege, status, or right to do something which others generally don’t have.

Having good relationships with offspring, spouse, close friends and humans in general is the reward that you get for leading a moral life. Failure to lead a moral life leads to punishment with dysfunctional relationships and much personal misery and unhappiness.

The least materialistic kind of reward is a grade (status reward) or mere praise for doing something good or good behavior.

Money frequently seems like the best motivating force but a desire to get good grades and getting them motivates the achievers. A selfmotivated student who enjoys working hard at learning and gets good grades is a joy to have in the classroom.

Creating a sense of belonging, purpose, and selfworth in an individual is frequently a key to having a satisfied and industrious employee who may not be paid that much for their effort. A selfmotivated competent employee is the best kind of employee to have who seldom needs external motivation from a boss or manager.

Having pride in yourself and striving for competence in everything that you do is a very valuable selfmotivating state of mind because relying on the kind words and the praise of others to motivate you is not a reliable source of motivation and you will wind up too frequently trying to please others and not pleasing yourself where it is most important.

Finally nature rewards us with the gift of life and if we eat healthy, move around enough, live carefully, and live moral lives then the probability of being rewarded throughout a lifetime and reaching old age is greatly increased.

PARENTING BRIEFLY SUMMARIZED!!!

picture-for-parent-blog-2

REARING VERY YOUNG OFFSPRING IS JUDICIOUSLY USING BRIBES AND THREATS OR REWARDS AND PUNISHMENTS!!!

Young offspring rearing and offspring rearing in general is promises of rewards which could be called bribes, and rewards for accomplishments but not generally for good behavior which should be expected and enforced with threats of punishment or withdrawal of privileges.

There are also punishments which are the withdrawal of privileges and threats of punishment or threats to withdraw privileges. For very young offspring the threat of a spanking or actual spanking may also be used to curb serious violence, lying, and stealing.

A privilege can also be considered a reward and/or right to do something at almost any time or frequently. Withdrawing or threatening to withdraw the reward and/or right may be considered to be a form of punishment.

The best way to motivate offspring to behave well is with appropriate praise for good behavior and verbal condemnation for misbehavior. When the positive approach with motivating words fails then unfortunately privilege withdrawal or other forms of punishment may be necessary.

If you include hugs and kisses as rewards or signs of love and affection then this is definitely a plus but even more important is demonstrating the love and affection for spouse in front of the offspring.

The line between rewards and privileges is sometimes vague but here is a likely list for relatively young offspring:

PARTIAL LIST OF REWARDS:

Favorite food (not including sweets or the occasional desert),

time to play with a favorite or special toy,

playing a video game

going to the park

horsey ride

going out to eat fast food

going to the zoo

going to the library

fishing trip

money in piggy bank

wearing dress up clothes

making mud pies

PARTIAL LIST OF PRIVILEGES OR RIGHTS:

going to friend’s houses whenever they want

supervised computer use

listening to a bedtime story

riding on a bicycle with mom or dad

staying up late

setting the table

going to a movie with a friend

sleeping in a different place in the house

playing outside

bouncing on a bed

feeding a pet

making noises with pots, pans, rattles, or bells

riding a tricycle

going outside at night

PUNISHMENTS:

Isolation in the bathroom or closet for a period of time such as 10 minutes

Sitting in a chair or on the couch for a period of time such as 10 minutes

Box lunches instead of school cafeteria food (if you give organic food in box lunches then it is really a reward and not a punishment)

Staying indoors or an early curfew before the usual 9 pm deadline

Taking away a special or favorite toy for a few days or week

Taking away a daily privilege for a day, a few days, or week.

Offspring will sometimes refuse to eat the food given or prepared and they should not be bribed with the promise of sweets or desert if they eat the meal. The best recourse is to just say, no food until tomorrow or breakfast. Children will not starve if denied one or two meals and usually when they are really hungry they will eat almost anything given.

It is the responsibility of parents to develop good habits as early as possible.

As early as possible offspring should be introduced to a wide variety of food so that they learn to eat fruits, vegetables, and meat in a balanced way. Milk, natural juices, and water should be emphasized as drinks.

As early as possible offspring should be taught the joys of reading by reading to them physical or online books and introducing them to the alphabet and numbers with alphabet and numbers toys or blocks. If you want your young offspring to be interested in school or learning then you have to start early at home introducing them into the world of learning from books and computers.

Neatness and orderliness should start young and a time to put away toys should become a daily accepted routine.

Most modern plastic toys are trivial crap which doesn’t teach anything useful so stick to physical construction toys, vehicles, planes, cars, trucks, dolls, action figures, animals, small plastic houses, appliances, tools, and geometrical shapes with different sizes. The more the real world is reflected in toys the better toys they are.

THE HIDDEN MEANING OR TRUTH IN MOTIVATION***

motivation

Motivation is frequently thought of as getting someone to do something or achieve a goal(s) and what is not realized is that doing something right frequently means not doing something which will prevent us from achieving the goal(s).

Proper motivation is sometimes accompanied by a warning that you should not do something along the way which will interfere with your goal(s) achievement.

Motivation does not have a true antonym such as blocking or preventing a behavior but the blocking or preventing is an integral part of the motivation process where only some things are prevented or blocked so that the motivation can proceed successfully to its conclusion or goal(s).

Proper motivation is not just emotionally stimulating a desire to win or succeed with promises of rewards, commands, encouragements, and even instilling some fear with threats of punishment if the goal(s) is not achieved. To properly motivate you must have taught how to achieve by warning of the possible mistakes which should not be made along the way.

“Cross the street by yourself but look both ways before you do” is the proper way to motivate offspring to cross the street but in safety with an appropriate warning.

“Get the job done in a week but remember to get enough sleep so that you can function efficiently every day” is an example of properly motivating an employee  who historically has frequently shown up tired for work.

The hidden truth is that to motivate properly you must also frequently have a good knowledge or understanding of the weaknesses of the one whom you want to motivate. Warning of the weaknesses or suggesting real ways to minimize those weaknesses is an important part of the motivational process or motivation!!!!!!

The other hidden truth not found in the definition of motivation is that selfmotivation is what you need the most in life to achieve success. If you mostly depend on others to motivate you then you may sometimes be waiting forever to get off your butt and do something truly useful with your life.

Motivation: n. stimulating and/or preventing a behavior(s) with a subset(s) which is frequently done with (the promise of a reward and/or punishment) and/or (a command and/or an encouragement(s)) and/or (a threat and/or a warning)

Selfmotivation: n. motivated by one’s desire(s) and/or need(s) and/or belief(s) and/or past experiences which activate and/or prevent one’s behavior(s)

THE TRUTH ABOUT DISCIPLINE

self-discipline-1

Discipline: v. to use appropriate rewards and/or punishments to get obedience to a set of rules which limit behavior and create selfcontrol to speed up achieving a new goal(s)

Being disciplined by others is sometimes an unpleasant experience but teaching yourself selfdiscipline and disciplining yourself on your own is even harder to do and can be very unpleasant at times. Selfdiscipline is vital to success in life and it basically means learning new knowledge and skills on your own or doing so with the investment of personal time, energy, effort, and achievement.

Rewarding with praise or material rewards must be done judiciously so that your rewards are appropriate to the achievement. If you constantly give great enthusiastic praise for mediocre accomplishments or give great material rewards for mediocre or even minimal accomplishments then the one whom you are disciplining will fail to tell the difference between a truly great accomplishment and a mediocre one and your verbal and physical rewards will no longer be a motivating factor. The reward should fit or correspond to the accomplishment just as the punishment should fit or correspond to the crime or bad behavior.

Punishment should also be in appropriate degrees so that the one being disciplined can differentiate between very bad, bad, and not so bad results. If an offspring lies or steals then the punishment should be severe with the withdrawal of a very desirable privilege or even a spanking of a very young offspring if lying or stealing is almost becoming habitual. Lying and stealing is a moral transgression and should not be tolerated in the family unit! Being grounded may not be adequate punishment these days but the withdrawal of cell phone or computer privileges may be a deterrent to future bad behavior.

Learning new knowledge and skills takes much selfdiscipline and you should start early teaching your offspring the joys of learning new knowledge and skills by example, motivating, and sharing in the learning experience.

THE TRUTH ABOUT PUNISHMENT

Punish Children With Right Method_3

Punishment: n. doing and/or giving a frequently unpleasant subset(s) which is done and/or given for not achieving a goal(s) and/or for doing a (bad and/or wrong) and/or illegal subset(s)

If you misbehave as children you have privileges temporarily suspended, if you are very late coming home then your spouse may harshly criticize you, if you are adulterous you get divorced, if you don’t get a useful education then you will probably not find a good paying job, if you do a lousy job then you get fired or demoted, if you commit a crime and are caught then you go to jail, and if you have a bad personality then you probably will have few if any friends.

These are just a few examples of punishments which humans and society enforces for bad or unacceptable behavior. We would all ideally like to be rewarded for everything which we do but the sad fact is that we do some pretty shitty things and punishments of all kinds will impact you in your life both small and large.

Many are leading unhappy unfulfilling lives and what they don’t realize that it is frequently punishment for not doing necessary things in the past such as following good role models. Life is not fair or just and it is frequently because you didn’t have good parents, good friends, or good role models to follow or imitate.

THE TRUTH ABOUT MOTIVATION

motivation-board

Motivation: n. stimulating and/or preventing a behavior(s) with a subset(s) which is frequently done with (the promise of a reward and/or punishment) and/or (a command and/or an encouragement(s)) and/or a threat

Humans and things can motivate our behavior or create desires which make us do things. A desire arises and we either fulfill that desire right away or we delay the fulfillment of the desire until a later time.

A desire to do something or not do something is probably motivated by a reward and/or punishment and ultimately it is a desire to achieve a goal.

Many of us have simple goals such as eating, drinking, working, and enjoying life with pleasant pastimes.

Others also have complex goals such as making much money, starting a business or organization, learning complicated skills for a high paying profession, and writing a best seller.

Staying motivated or maintaining a desire for a long duration trying to achieve complex goals is very hard because it frequently means much sustained hard work, many failures, much support from other humans, and an undying devotion which few are willing to make. Unrelenting self-motivation is necessary to achieve long duration complex goals and it helps if you have talent which makes the achievement much easier.

The success of other humans and ongoing support from family, close friends, teachers, coworkers, coaches, mentors, inspirational leaders, and role models can all be sources of motivation which keeps you trying to achieve important goals even in the face of much hardship and setbacks.

Not frequently mentioned is the importance that emotional motivation plays in successful human relationships and even relationships on the job. Life has many setbacks and if you find a significant other who supports you emotionally when you are struggling with personal or job problems then you are truly being helped or supported. If you reciprocate the emotional support then this can create a symbiotic relationship which will thrive through the good and bad times.

On the job having a boss who cares about maintaining your emotional optimism by appropriate praise, always acknowledging the contribution you make and not stealing it from you, delegating some authority to you, letting you improve your skills on the job, and sometimes saying something good about you in the presence of coworkers can be effective in giving you a sense of purpose on the job. This will make you feel good enough even though you may not be rewarded with as much money as you think that you deserve as a reward.

CONCLUSION:

We have many desires in our lives which motivate us to do good and bad things and our priorities may change in life depending upon the circumstances. That is why it is important to try and find good humans to associate with who motivate us to do good things and not bad things, moral things and not immoral ones.

Learning to prioritize our desires and controlling them successfully is a major key to happiness. Uncontrolled impulsive desires, especially if they are bad, can lead to a life of misery and turmoil so try to change those impulsive bad desires before they ruin a potentially good life.

There are many rewards and punishments in life. If you are smart then you will try to optimize your rewards and minimize the punishments with a realistic appraisal of your abilities so that you don’t crash and burn trying to do the impossible or  desiring what you can’t have.

12 THINGS WHICH AN EMPLOYEE WANTS BESIDES MONEY

o-SURFING-KID-900

To feel pride in a job

When asked what they do for a living, an employee wants to boast rather than feel shame about their job. If the job is a rather thankless job then at least they want to feel that it is valued by the organization.

To be treated justly

Employees hate it when favoritism is shown to humans who kiss butt and do not work hard or well. Most realize that life isn’t always fair but they don’t want the boss to make it even more unfair than it is.

To respect the boss

Employees want to be respected but they also want a boss who can be respected and deserves their loyalty and trust. A boss who is honest and sincere and tries to treat everyone fairly will be respected most of the time.

To be listened to or be acknowledged

Employees want the boss to listen and respond appropriately to employee input and dislike it when a boss acts as if he or she doesn’t care what they think and the feelings they may have about the job.

To have personal time

Some entrepreneurial bosses almost exclusively devote themselves to their job but employees feel uncomfortable when they are asked to sacrifice their time with family and personal interests outside the job which they feel have a large priority in their lives.

To be guided and not micromanaged

Employees want the boss to help with information or guidance when they ask for it but also hope that the boss will help them when they are having problems but may be too afraid to ask. What they don’t want is a boss who monitors their work every step along the way and seem too nosey.

To see bad workers get fired

If there is a disruptive employee, an employee who isn’t doing his or her job, or one who is always causing unnecessary problems for one or more employees then they should get fired or the boss will be thought of as being just as incompetent as the bad employee.

To not always feel stressed out

There are rare occasions when there seems to not be enough time given for a task or job but this should not become a bad habit of the boss. A boss who anticipates problems and sets realistic goals and timelines will not overstress the employee.

To have some security

No reasonable employee expects lifetime employment but no one likes to live under a threat of being fired all the time. They want to feel that their time spent on the job will not be a waste of their time, energy, and effort and that the boss will give them adequate warning if they are going to be fired.

To know where the organization is going

Employees want to be on a winning team and want to know what the long range goals of the organization are. If they are not in the number one organization then at least they want to know if they are making progress towards one or more goals which will bring them closer to the number one position.

To have opportunity for advancement

Not all employees want the added responsibility which comes from job advancement but for those who desire it there should be an opportunity to acquire the new skills and experience necessary for future job advancement.

To have knowledge of how top performance is rewarded

Top performance is usually rewarded with more money but sometimes privileges or perks such as reserved parking, exercise facilities, physical therapy, training classes, business class flying and accommodations, maternity leave, or more vacation time may be a reward which costs money but which does not translate into an increase in salary.
