Eroded and pitted rock. Soft sedimentary rock has become pitted due to erosion by wind, salt spray and water. The overhanging rock wall (upper right) is known as the Malaspina Gallery, which has formed due to softer rock being eroded at a faster rate than the harder rock above it. Photographed on Gabriola Island, Canada.
