9 THINGS WHICH CAN DEMOTIVATE WORKERS!!!

demotivators__by_boomerangmouth

Overworking workers will overstress and overload them causing great dissatisfaction. At the other extreme not giving workers enough work or responsibilities will bore and demotivate them in the workplace and they may start looking for a new job.

An incompetent manager or leader blaming workers for his or her mistakes is a great demotivator.

Trying to box in a worker with ambitions to work his or her way up the corporate ladder or improve him or herself in the workplace is another demotivator.

Constant threats of firing coupled with put downs, name calling, insults, rudeness, humiliation, and ridicule is bad leadership which can really kill morale.

Incompetent leadership in another department which has to interact and operate smoothly with your department can also be a frustrating demotivating force.

A manager or leader not giving credit where credit is due can also demotivate deserving workers.

A manager or leader who shows gross favoritism to a worker, especially if the favoritism is not earned or deserved can be a great demotivator.

A manager or leader who isolates him or herself in the office or gives impossible tasks or unrealistic deadlines to workers and is a bad communicator is a great demotivating force.

A coworker or coworkers who are lazy, backstabbers, or disruptive influences on team morale can also be great demotivator.

THE TRUTH ABOUT TERSENESS+

i_love_being_terse_tshirt-rb9206e2594644e27900c7687795c1099_vj781_324

Terseness: n. using a minimum number of words which frequently seems rude

Perhaps the tersest answer which can seem rude or offensive is just to say “no!” instead of  “sorry, no” or some believable truthful excuse. Saying  “go!” instead of  “please go” is another example of one word terseness.

8 THINGS YOU SHOULD LEARN FROM SHITTY HUMANS!!!

shitty2010

It is best to try and avoid shitty humans. If you can’t avoid them then ignoring them as much as possible may be a solution but you will have to learn to defend yourself and your loved ones against them if they become an inescapable part of your life, especially if they are trying to spread lies about you or your loved ones.

You learn to develop a thicker skin or learn to handle mistreatment without becoming too upset or giving in to abuse. You maintain your composure and hold on to your integrity when crap is being thrown at you.

You learn to defend yourself and those closest to you if they come under unjustified attack or attempted abuse. You courageously defend yourself and your loved ones against lies if they are being spread.

You learn that sometimes you may be victimized by mistreatment only because you were available and the bad human was just transferring their bad experience effects or dissatisfaction on you and misdirecting their venom.

You learn that some shitty humans refuse to be helped with advice or consideration and you should not pursue your goal of helping if the human refuses it.

You learn that some shitty humans are just rude, annoying, abusive, and gossip because they enjoy being jerks so you should not become depressed if you are surrounded by more than one such personality type.

You learn that if you live with resentment, hatred, jealousy, and anger at some of the bad things which humans do to you then it will handicap you emotionally. It is best to forgive and move on if possible or to forgive and remember forever so it doesn’t affect you adversely again or so that you can take appropriate steps to avoid future hurt.

You learn that shitty humans have shitty habits and that it is almost always wasted effort trying to reform them or get them to change those shitty habits.

You learn that shitty humans are all around and with time you learn to ignore or avoid them as much as possible so that they have minimal bad impact on your life and emotional well being.

THE TRUTH ABOUT RUDENESS

rude

Rudeness: n. showing unintentional and/or intentional minimum consideration for a human(s)’ sensing and it is frequently done by showing shameless disrespect and unacceptable social etiquette

Your conversation can be rudely interrupted but you can also be rudely interrupted while doing something important. Unless it is an emergency situation rude interruptions are frequently violations of good social etiquette and disapproved of by most humans.

Rudeness is showing disrespect for another human and frequently the result of selfish behavior which every civilized human must learn to control if they are to maintain a good social reputation.

Not all rudeness is intentional but hurting another’s feelings  with blatant public honesty or malice and severely scolding an adult is not considered proper social etiquette or behavior. If you know how to be polite in public human interactions then chances are you are not being rude because being polite means following good social etiquette.

Disciplining an employee who deserves it can be done rudely if you resort to name calling, ridicule, put downs, and harsh criticism. Punishment can be administered justly without rudely punishing the ego or sense of selfworth more than it deserves to be punished.

12 WAYS TO GET DISLIKED OR EVEN HATED BY YOUR COWORKERS!!!

???????????????????????????????????????

Being a slob with a messy desk with food, drink stains, and leftovers is a bad start. Add to this bad personal hygiene with bad body odor and breath and a disheveled appearance and you can become an office pariah.

Being condescending or talking down to fellow coworkers by feeling that only you have all the right answers, telling everyone else that their ideas will fail, and criticizing them at every opportunity. Many of your ideas may actually be good but give others a chance to work on their own ideas too or you will soon have the entire staff hating you.

Stop communicating too much personal information and especially personal problems. Excessive talk about personal health problems, marital arguments, your offspring’s latest accomplishments at preschool no one cares about, and private phone calls are all detailed information which will bore and annoy almost everyone.

Being lazy and doing the bare minimum of work and sometimes trying to get help from coworkers will generate much hatred especially if you accept credit for the work that others have mostly done.

Being a backstabber and claiming credit for another’s work may get you temporarily higher in the corporate ladder but you will be hated by most of the humans which you have backstabbed and other workers will know about this too.

You are too noisy and just plain rude, inconsiderate, and annoying if you whistle, sing, hum, chew loudly, or play your music for all to hear. You are interrupting the quiet atmosphere needed for concentrated work efforts without interference by others.

Lying to your boss can get you fired and lying to your coworkers will ruin a trustworthy relationship and any hope of being respected and admired by them.

Procrastination on a team may mean that others will have to do some of the work for you and will cause much resentment and annoyance.

Tardiness will upset your coworkers because it is a sign that you don’t value their time and is another valid reason for being fired by your boss.

Lack of manners like being rude and thoughtless and not saying “please”,  “thank you”, and “I’m sorry” will make smooth communication with your coworkers impossible and they won’t enjoy talking to you.

Bad email communication by being too abrupt, rude, and adding to that long windedness will guarantee that you will have bad communications with coworkers and a bad reputation in the office.

Being a busy body will annoy many who don’t want to reveal the minutia of their personal lives.

10 IMPORTANT SOCIAL TRUTHS ABOUT HUMAN NATURE: PART 3

2d8edb28c6792cb00bf850749758d146_XL

At times your unconsciousness is truer than your conscious mind

This is just a statement that sometimes your impulsive feelings about something are truer than what your mind thinks ought to be done in a certain circumstance where your thinking may be bad and/or uncertain.

Severe punishment awaits really bad humans

In most societies the punishment is usually made to fit the crime and if the crime is considered very bad then the punishment is also usually very severe. Social ostracism may be the only punishment for a non criminal offense but being a pariah can be very punishing and greatly hamper your interactions with humans.

Bad intentions can have good results

Firing someone out of spite and intentionally trying to cause financial hardship can lead to someone finding a better job. It can even lead to the hiring of a better employee so both are examples of a bad intention causing two good results.  Bad intentions seldom cause good results but sometimes there are exceptions.

Rudeness is a weak human’s imitation of power.

Rudeness is just one of the many defects of a weak human with a bad personality and it does not necessarily mean that the human is intentionally trying to behave powerfully.

Hope lasts until death.

This is just one way of saying that hope is a recurring theme throughout a lifetime and this is especially true for lottery players who always hope for the big win no matter how many times they are disappointed in real life.

Roll with the punches.

This is just a bad way of saying that you should not stop trying to reach your goals and sink into depression when bad things happen to you in life.

Man cannot live by bread alone.

This is just a way to say that there is usually more to life than just getting and eating food.

Liars frequently set their own traps.

Liars lie that they are doing or have done something which they are not doing or haven’t done.  Their deceptions are frequently destroyed by third parties who tell the truth or the memory of their lies fades and they start contradicting themselves later on and get caught for lying.

Just because everybody’s doing something, doesn’t mean it’s right.

This should be rephrased to make it more accurate. Just because everyone in a group of humans is doing something doesn’t make it the right thing to do.  Offspring especially have to be taught that just because a large group of humans in school are doing it, it may not be the right thing to do.

History repeats itself.

This is true to a large extent because new generations of humans continue to make the same human mistakes that older generations have made only in a new setting.  This is because new generations seldom learn everything of importance from the mistakes of older generations. Also historical bad habits, untruths or myths carry on into future generations and make the probability of old mistakes being repeated more likely.
