THE TRUTH ABOUT ETIQUETTE*

pageTitle_society_etiquette

Etiquette: n. rules for socially acceptable normative behavior

Etiquette rarely varies widely from one area of the country to the next but different cultures definitely have noticeable changes in etiquette which are unique to that culture.

Giving of flowers, cleaning your plate, tipping, and eating with your hands have different meanings in some countries and you can confuse the guest by doing those things which are accepted customs in the United States. Slurping and sticking out your tongue which are frowned on in the United States have positive meanings in some countries and are perfectly acceptable.

Being rude is frequently the result of not following the accepted etiquette of your culture.

THE TRUTH ABOUT OBEDIENCE+

obedience

Obedience: n. accepting and doing a command(s) which is frequently a (law(s) and/or rule(s)) and/or social norm(s)

As parents we expect a certain amount of obedience from our offspring. Some even want obedience from their pets and sometimes train them or bring them to obedience schools.

In the adult world we obey rules, laws, and social norms all designed to give society a certain amount of predictability.

Teenagers frequently rebel against parental and social norms and try to disobey them with usually bad consequences. There is nothing new in human nature and once we learn more and more about it we then become more tolerant of human deviance or at least learn to live with it if it deviates in a moral way and is not an expression of immorality.

With government laws being so numerous and more being added on yearly there will always be humans disobeying them to some extent since they are unjust in many special circumstances and not worthy of obedience.

THE TRUTH ABOUT SUBMISSION+

images

Submission: n. obeying a superior force and/or authority

Laws, rules, and humans control our lives and the degree to which we obey them is the degree to which we are submissive.

Few individuals in the modern world are totally submissive and obey unquestioningly every law, rule, and human authority figure but to realistically survive in the real world most of us are largely submissive.

In many parts of the world there is still some submissiveness to males in families but in the modern western nations spouses are more equal than in submissive cultures.

Even most criminals are submissive  and obey their own set of laws, rules, and human authority figures.

Superior military force and police forces ensure that submission to superior physical force is still alive and well in the modern world although increasingly superior cyber warfare is beginning to play a dominant role.

THE TRUTH ABOUT UNDISCIPLINE*

Quotation-Stephen-Richards-life-mind-Meetville-Quotes-46297

Undiscipline: v. to use inadequate selfcontrol and/or disobeying many good and/or righta behaviors and/or rules

Undisciplined offspring can be a nightmare. They have little selfcontrol and disobey many good behavior norms frequently being rude, inconsiderate, using bad language, and sometimes have radically different tastes in clothing and makeup.

Undisciplined offspring is one of the major reasons why education is so bad in poor neighborhoods. Disruptive or undisciplined behavior in class does not lead to a very good learning environment for the rest of the offspring and it is a perennial problem for teachers who are forced to live with the disruptive learning environment.

THE TRUTH ABOUT UNRULY*

dBQOYOM1

Unruly: adj. disobeying rules and frequently shown with overt disobedience and/or undisciplined behavior(s)

Unruly offspring are the most common but adults can be unruly too and at the extreme end they can participate in rioting.  Most rules are broken nonviolently but violent behavior is very serious rule breaking and is frequently punished by the law.

Break any rule and there is usually some form of punishment associated with the rule breaking. For offspring it may be denial of a privilege for duration such as grounding. For adults it may be getting fired from a job, social censure or even ostracism, and in violent rule breaking there may even be fines or imprisonment associated with the unruliness.

THE TRUTH ABOUT RESTRICTION+

stock-vector-restriction-signs-vector-129478580

Restriction: n. controlling within certain limits by (law and/or rule) and/or with a barrier(s)

Passing laws and putting up barriers is the most common way of trying to restrict human behavior but you can also restrict nonhuman lifeforms by putting up barriers.

Restricted access to an area for offspring may be simply under parental supervision or with the wearing of appropriate safety gear.

There are restroom restrictions for males and females and any law or rule can be considered a restriction on your behavior.

THE TRUTH ABOUT SAVINGS+

emergency-savings2

Save: v. to prevent with an event(s) and/or action(s) possible (injury and/or death) and/or (damage and/or destruction) and/or (embarrassment and/or usage) and/or error

The analogy of personal savings and fat in an animal’s body is very appropriate. When an animal is sick, suffers and injury, or is starving from lack of food then it can burn the body fat it has stored to survive until the body heals itself or finds more food.

Humans have emergencies. It may be a chronic health issue or loss of a job or need of money in retirement and with savings to rely upon you can weather the storm. Going into debt is another possibility for emergency situations but if the economy is in a depression or if your credit cards are maxed out then the possibility of getting financial help may be out of the question. OK, personal bankruptcy is the option in the modern world but the hardship it can cause can sometimes bring you to the verge of suicide.

Businesses are in the same situation. If they have savings or a financial reserve then they can weather an economic downturn when banks are not lending any money that easily. If their reserves are inadequate then severe financial downsizing or even bankruptcy threatens.

Banks and central banks also need savings or financial capital reserves because going into debt or working in the red for too long spells financial disaster. Sure, counterfeit money can be printed to bail out banks during a financial crisis but the national debt grows along with it and ultimately the debt has to be repaid unless there is debt forgiveness or restructuring or refinancing.

Banks wildly speculating with derivatives and other non tangible assets in the trillions of dollars have incredible potential future debt or obligations which no amount of money printing can save in a severe liquidity crisis.

International banks are increasingly becoming profligate wild speculators making riskier and riskier loans not backed by capital reserves. It is just a question of time before the governments of the world will start putting the brakes on this incredible bank Ponzi scheme with a new more rational financial system for the world and new financial rules for the banking world.

It may take a worldwide depression to shock the nations of the world into financial reality but the day of reckoning is coming sooner or later. The nations of the world which will come out of depression on a sounder financial footing will be the ones with rich natural resources and a large GDP and GNP.

Ruling justly with money is potentially possible but when the financial system loses touch with reality and tangible assets it is doomed to implode eventually. Gradual financial change is preferable to shocking sudden change but I doubt that humans on a spending addiction will be able to make the necessary changes in small increments with more just financial laws.

Inflation and ridiculous interest on savings accounts is not encouraging wise saving for individual family units and ultimately the government is a reflection of the budgeting ability of its citizens. Encourage private profligacy and national profligacy is the result. No inflation or a decent return on savings which keeps pace with inflation is one of the fundamental solutions necessary in a just banking system.

Budgeting is not taught in elementary school and that is one of the biggest failures of the educational system of any nation!!!!!!

THE TRUTH ABOUT OBEDIENCE***

Every-obedience-class-has-a-clown-D-puppies-15137909-500-333

Obedience: n. accepting and doing a command(s) which is frequently a (law(s) and/or rule(s)) and/or social norm(s)

Obedience to laws, rules, and social norms is what keeps society functioning in a relatively predictable way. If citizens obey a common morality then a non tyrannical peaceful just society is possible.

Too much obedience to a corrupt society is not advisable but habits are hard to exclude from your life and sometimes if you are not morally outraged then chances are that you will follow blindly and not be aware that much of your oppression.

Advertising is a form of brainwashing which leads to obedient purchasing of information, products, or services advertised and is a primary reason for predictable purchases made by customers. Obedient consumers are a company dream and many pay big money trying to achieve such a position in human lives.

When there is true choice in the marketplace then unsatisfied customers will go elsewhere or purchase superior information, goods, and services. Monopoly businesses have the power to force you to obediently buy something which need not be improved and you become an obedient slave purchasing what you need but may actually not want.

If you are commanded to do something and you do it then you are obeying. You may obey out of fear or a sense of duty so there is involuntary obedience and voluntary obedience. Many obey a command, rule, or law out of fear of punishment even though we may disagree with the command, rule, or law.

We frequently tell the truth because we are afraid of social ostracism since very few humans go to jail or get fined for everyday lying incidents. Most humans obey conventional social norms because we basically want to be liked by others and breaking social rules of behavior makes us less likable.

THE TRUTH ABOUT DISOBEDIENCE***

620disobedience_collectiv

Disobedience: n. intentionally not accepting and not doing a command(s) which frequently is a (law(s) and/or rule(s)) and/or social norm(s)

Laws, rules, and social norms are really commands by society to behave a certain way within behavioral limits. If you intentionally don’t do these commands or don’t accept them then you are being disobedient and intentionally so.

There is offspring disobedience which is a learning process and parents try to correct this disobedience with their own tactics which vary largely depending on whether the offspring rearing is largely authoritarian or more democratic and consensus based.

Adult disobedience results in official punishment if caught and social ostracism or a ruined reputation for going too radically against social norms. Disobeying standard operating procedure or organizational rules can get you fired or released from important duties or responsibilities.

Dysfunctional family life with bad role model friends and mediocre teachers handicap many with dysfunctional relationships. Good relationships require obedience to good relationship etiquette which bad role models never teach.

Without a strong moral family experience and obedience to it offspring grow into adults with the same parental handicaps and frequently add to them with addictive bad behaviors which they learn from other dysfunctional friends.

Teenagers and young adults will even rebel against good family ethics but sooner or later discover that they have a good foundation to go back to in times of trouble and chaos.

Disobedience to old beliefs and laws results in some progress in society but disobedience to basic moral laws is what causes society to gradually self destruct. It is the wise human who realizes that not lying, not stealing, not being adulterous, and not murdering is something which each generation must learn and reaffirm over and over again.

THE TRUTH ABOUT REFORMS***

WelfareReformWordle

Reform: v. to make changes to a human(s) and/or to a (law(s) and/or rule(s)) to eliminate what is bad in a human(s) and/or in an organization(s) and thus trying to remove (a deviant behavior(s) and/or an abuse(s)) and/or an injustice(s)

To reform a human when it is possible you need rehabilitation and to reform an organization such as a government, court, or education system you need a change in laws and/or rules.

Almost every institution needs reform of some kind in this fast changing technological century and sometimes all that is needed is an efficient software program which accurately defines the operations and needs minimal human input to function.

World government, national government, the welfare system, and the educational system need radical reform to reflect the advancement in the technological 21st century and this is covered in detail in my evergreen truth books GLOBALISM, JUSTICE, CHANGES IN WELFARE LAWS, and EDUCATION REFORM.

THE TRUTH ABOUT ESTABLISHMENT***

Establishment: n. creating a subset(s) which is frequently an organization and/or system and/or rules for a hoped for permanent duration

Establishing or creating trade or an organization are the most common forms of establishment which you hope will last for a long duration.

You can also establish or create a system for processing sewage water which you hope will be broadly used into the foreseeable future.

You can also establish or create a constitution or a set of rules to base society on and hopefully it will be a constitution which can last a long time.

Whatever you establish or create you frequently need an establishment to promote the creation.

THE TRUTH ABOUT RULES***

rules__regs

Rule: v. to control with demanded behaviors which are frequently recorded and enforced and obeyed for safety and/or orderliness and/or predictable similarity and/or social bonding

Rules are made to create a sense of orderliness, safety, predictability, and social bonding. Rules are frequently recorded and enforced by an authority who tries to control human behavior in acceptable ways.

The hardest rules to enforce are those for social etiquette because they vary greatly depending on the social group which you are talking about. This is especially true when comparing different cultures with different rules for social behavior.

The most challenging part about organizational rules is that they are frequently not absolute rules and there are plenty of exceptions to them which must be understood and tolerated.

The customer is always right is a perfect example of an absolute rule which isn’t really absolute. The customer may have intentionally damaged a product, may have used it three or four times such as clothes and then decided to return it for a refund, and may have used the product improperly and gotten terrible results.

Customer negligence or fraudulent deception may be the real reason for wanting a refund and organizational rules must be made to try and minimize the damage to profits in the organization resulting from these deviant untrustworthy customers. Fortunately computer software will be so good that a customer who tries to get too many refunds for products can be stopped after a handful of returns but I don’t know of any company which is doing this currently.

Government bureaucracy is a perfect example of absolute rules or laws which should not be absolute because they are far removed from reality in many situations or there are plenty of real world exceptions to these rules which make them unjust for large minorities. One size fits all is simply a stupid rule to have in the efficient governing of humans who are basically different in their needs and desires.

The larger the government or the more rules it has the LESS JUST an organization it becomes because it crushes healthy minorities in its stupid zeal to make everyone equal. Yes, it is dysfunctional communism or socialism as an end product.

Big government tries to change humans into a mass of homogeneous shit!!!!!! Yes, big food and drug corporations are also guilty of trying to change food and drugs into a mass of unhealthy shit to be consumed by a mass of equally unhealthy humans.

Humans are getting increasingly irresponsible and deviant in their behavior so government rules must be made to rehabilitate or save humans from their irresponsibility and deviance with armies of government case workers. Wrong! Teach impressionable young minds in elementary school a functional secular moral code and they will impulsively interact peacefully with other humans when they get older and not be so irresponsible, deviant, and socially dysfunctional. They will also demand a more just government and save it from a tyrannical inevitable takeover.

I can go on and on writing about real solutions to human, national, and international problems but I don’t want to bore you if it doesn’t interest you.

11 RULES OF LIFE FOR YOUNG ADULTS

high-speed-water-splash-photography-fist-punch

Rule 1: Life does not seem fair for many of us who have no job, a bad job, and bad relationship skills. Get used to it or do something about it and improve your skills!

Rule 2: The world will not care about your self esteem. The world will expect you to accomplish something before you feel good about yourself.

Rule 3: You will not earn $60,000 straight out of high school. You WILL NOT be a vice president with a car phone until you’ve earned both.

Rule 4: If you think your teacher is tough, wait until you get a boss.

Rule 5: Flipping burgers is not beneath your dignity. Your Grandparents had a different word for burger flipping; they called it opportunity.

Rule 6: If you mess up, it’s not your parent’s fault, so don’t whine about your mistakes. Learn from them.

Rule 7: Before you were born, your parents weren’t as boring as they are now. They got that way from paying your bills, cleaning your clothes and listening to you talk about how cool you thought you were. So before you save the rain forest from the parasites of your parent’s generation, try de-lousing the closet in your own room.

Rule 8: Your school may have done away with winners and losers but life HAS NOT. In some schools they have abolished failing grades and will give you as many times as you want to get the right answer. This doesn’t bear the slightest resemblance to anything in real life.

RULE 9: Life is not divided into semesters. You don’t get summers off and very few employers are interested in helping you FIND YOURSELF. Do that on your own time.

RULE 10: Television is not real life. In real life people actually have to leave the coffee shop and go to jobs.

RULE 11: Be nice to nerds. Chances are you’ll end up working for one!

THE STUPIDITY OF ARGUING OVER UNALIENABLE RIGHTS

Lady-Liberty

The constitution communicates that everyone should have the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Let’s review each one of these rights and point out the necessary exceptions.

Everyone should have the right to life except fetuses with severe debilitating diseases or health problems and those which will cause severe financial hardship on the family which can lead to excessive debt, financial ruin, and divorce. Abortion should be a personal decision by primarily the female and hopefully and optionally with the consent of the responsible male.

The right to life or no death sentence for anyone should be extended to all convicted criminals because in this technological age with most not having trustworthy reputations anymore a clever human(s) can easily plant evidence which will convict an innocent human and murder him or her unjustly.

Liberty is frequently confused with freedom which in its purest form is anarchy. Liberty is freedom to function within the law and in a moral way and not freedom which as an ultimate definition is doing whatever you feel like doing whether or not it is moral or within the law.

Liberty: n. (political and/or social) and/or economic freedom to pursue a goal(s) but limited by just laws

Pursuit of happiness is a very stupid right to have because some humans love to murder, to steal, to lie, to commit adultery, to destroy biodiversity, to do drugs, to gamble, and to live a life of trivial pursuits and even hedonism. One human’s happiness can very easily cause another human’s misery.

Religion used to keep human behavior relatively moral but what is now needed is a secular moral code for everyone to live under including government officials. In nonemergency situations- don’t destroy biodiversity, don’t lie, don’t be inefficient, don’t steal, don’t commit adultery if married, and don’t murder. This should be the secular morality taught to all impressionable young minds in elementary school so that they grow up to be moral citizens and leaders and it is something this world needs so desperately in the presently corrupt political and social world.

It is a big political lie that all humans are created equal but it is the truth that all humans should be given an equal free right to technological and/or science education which will primarily determine who justly succeeds in moving up the social scale of responsibility and success.

Liberal arts education is too subjectively biased and job deficient to realistically promote humans on the basis of objective merit and not on political or group affiliation, personal friendship, and some nepotism which is dominant today and into the foreseeable future if just changes are not made.

NEW DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE FOR THE UNITED STATES AND EVENTUALLY THE WORLD

We hold these truths to be obvious that all humans are created different, that they are given by their genetic inheritance certain unalienable rights, that among these are life and the pursuit of a job which is rewarded based on merit.  WHEN unemployed and destitute, the right of free access to technological and/or science based job related education and WHEN unemployed and destitute, a right to be supported with free basic needs such as food, basic clothing, basic shelter, basic medical care especially in emergencies, a basic computer, basic toiletries, and limited budget cellphone use but no motorized vehicle and no money to use.

For a continuation of this new declaration read my evergreen book NEW CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES.

It is way overdue to cut out the political BS and tell it like it is or tell the truth and incorporate it into legal documents!!!!!!

In the near future due to robotization, the internet, monopoly businesses, and standardization of parts there will be basically two classes of humans which will have to be treated differently. Most will become the unemployed and destitute without possessions to pawn, income, or necessary job skills and the rest of us will be trying not to become unemployed and destitute. Appropriate FREE REEDUCATION will become a necessity for those wishing to escape poverty through their time, effort, energy, and achievement NO MATTER WHAT THEIR AGE.
