THE TRUTH ABOUT SEEM+

Dreams-at-first-seem-impossible

Seem: v. to give the impression and/or sensation of being a subset(s) but there is the possibility of it being a pretense and/or deceptive

It seemed like it was going to rain, it seemed like she was interested in me, it seemed like he was upset, and it seemed that my speech was well received.

When something seems like something then there is frequently some doubt associated with it or there is a pretentious human perhaps trying to deceive us in some way emotionally or behaviorally.

The truth or the way the world really is or works is hidden by human myths and deceptions. The world we experience in our real lives seems like total reality which is really hidden to a large degree from most of us as we live in our myopic little provincial worlds.

Pleasantness: n. relatively low intensity (good and/or righta) and/or satisfying sensation without mental and/or physical pain

Some masochists enjoy pain but most humans associate pleasant sensations with something good, right, or satisfying happening to them without mental and/or physical pain.

A nice day is usually a pleasant day and pleasantness can usually be thought of as a low intensity pleasure.

THE TRUTH ABOUT SENSATION***

hqdefault

Sensation: n. using one or more subsets which are (sight and/or hearing) and/or (smell and/or taste) and/or (touch and/or balance) and/or the brain processing the input given by the body senses

We sense our environment and bodies with our senses of sight, hearing, smell, taste, touch, and balance and depend on our brain to properly process all this information and store what is necessary or relevant to our existence.

What we sense can also impact the future way that we sense because overexposure to a sense will cause boredom or insensitivity to stimuli in the future. In effect what we sense has an impact on the way we sense in the future.

The development of callouses is an example of sensations altering our bodies and becoming less sensitive to sensations in a particular area in the future. Getting tired or bored of a program which we initially thought was entertaining or exciting is an example of desensitization to repetitive eventually unrewarding experiences or stimuli.

Nothing is more predictable than change and if we are not getting enough rewards from our sensations then we look for new ones.

Being addicted to a sensation(s) is also possible and this is why it is hard to change both good and bad habit addictions which apparently are rewarding enough in your life to make you want to continue or repeat them. An adrenaline or dopamine high brought on by certain foods, drugs, and activities is a desirable sensation which our brain frequently likes and tries to repeat.

THE TRUTH ABOUT PLEASURE

pleasure-guilty

Pleasure: n. sensing a sensation which the brain subjectively judges to be good and is what most people desire to experience in various degrees of intensity

Objectively the pleasure which you sense may not be the best thing for you in the long duration such as a drug high which feels good but can devastate your life if you become addicted. Some masochists find pleasure in pain so their brain is dysfunctional and needs rewiring from an objective point of view.

Some hedonists devote their lives to the pursuit of pleasure in all its deviant forms and frequently live to regret their unwise choices. Doing only what feels good is an irrational highly emotional view of life which is devoid of logic and prior human experience about the right way to be living life among other humans.

Our pleasure seeking minds must be disciplined to avoid bad pleasures in favor of good pleasures. Morality and reason helps us to differentiate between the good and bad and good role models are the key to doing so successfully.
