WHAT ARE 7 IMPORTANT KEYS TO A LASTING RELATIONSHIP?

There are very many more detailed keys to a lasting relationship than just 7.  Despite all our efforts to make a relationship work there are some crises in life which can derail what may have seemed like a lifetime relationship no matter how much we may try to avoid a termination of the relationship. These basic 7 keys will help to optimize a long duration relationship and are good starting points when further researching the details on how to make a relationship last.

A similar moral background with integrity and similar views on severe addictions,

Good communication, especially when problem solving with minimal angry confrontations,

Financial responsibility,

Sharing responsibilities in and around the house, especially for working couples

Enjoying sharing mutual experiences with family and friends,

Mutual encouragement and support to pursue mutual and individual goals,

Ongoing research into new interests which are then shared.

Almost all relationships will crash and burn if there is lying, deceitfulness, promiscuity, failure to fulfill promises, and criminal immorality. That is why it is important that both of you have similar moral viewpoints and are very honest with each other so that mutual trust and respect can flourish in the long duration. What this also implies is that you are free of traditional vices or severe addictions to alcohol, drugs, food, gambling, promiscuity, profligate spending, etc.

Failure to communicate at all or doing so very badly will terminate most relationships even if they initially seemed to be on the right track. Being a poor listener and having angry confrontations when problems have to be solved is sure to lead to a breakup sooner or later or a very miserable existence as long as this dysfunctional condition continues.

Next to infidelity, financial irresponsibility is the second greatest cause for a relationship breakup, especially in a marriage. If you are a compulsive spender or can’t control your urge to shop and buy then this will be the wrecking ball which will end a marriage. Sticking to a budget is the only possible way of salvaging a financially irresponsible relationship.

For working couples sharing in the responsibilities in and around the house and sharing offspring rearing responsibilities is important or one will feel overburdened or overwhelmed with a lopsided workload. Relatively few modern day couples can make a go of it on only one paycheck so sharing the responsibility of caring for offspring, cleaning house, doing grocery and other shopping is very important or one will be suffering from premature burnout.

Whether you are sharing enjoyable experiences with friends or family this act of sharing has a bonding effect on the participants. If you are single then bonding with friends is more important but if married your priority should be bonding with family first and then friends. Yes, some feel it is more important to bond with humans on the job than with family. This is a long duration threat to a family relationship and many regret belatedly that they didn’t spend more time with family despite a relatively successful career which may have always been priority number one.

When things are going bad for us the one thing which we all crave is empathy and encouragement from our significant other that things will eventually get better or work themselves out. Encouragement is also essential to motivate one in mutual goals and also in some personal individual goals which one may want to achieve. Let’s support each other in our mutual goals and individual interests or goals also sums up what active encouragement really means. Giving support is not only emotional but has a monetary and effort support component too.

A relationship can lead to boredom and apathy if both are pretty much doing the same thing day in and day out and both seem to be stagnating. The antidote to this undesirable circumstance is to research and develop new interests along the way so that the relationship is ever changing and growing in complexity. Some younger and many retired couples find that after the offspring are raised they really don’t have very much interesting things to do individually or mutually and some decide to part ways in search of a more exciting or interesting life.

You have to work on a lasting relationship and that means actively nurturing and trying to protect it or caring about the relationship in an ongoing way. Stop spending your time, energy, effort, and money on a relationship and it will often rapidly fade and become a thing of the past.

17 THINGS GOOD BOSSES SHOULD KNOW HOW TO DO!!!

I-Love-My-Boss

Essentially after a qualified and competent worker is hired a boss’ job is to motivate and support or help the worker to do the job well and with enthusiasm.

BOSSES MOTIVATE WITH THE FOLLOWING TECHNIQUES:

They encourage when reluctance or fear of not being able to do the task is felt,

they maintain an atmosphere of trust so that no worker is overly fearful or dissatisfied with the emotional working environment and feels free to communicate with the boss and say anything that they may feel is relevant,

they are decisive and confident thus giving the worker the courage to do even when the task seems hard and difficult,

they accept occasional worker failure, don’t lose their optimism, and don’t use insults, put downs, name calling, and ridicule to belittle the worker,

they clearly communicate the rules and goals of the company giving confidence, clear guidance and understanding, and a sense of purpose to the worker,

they contribute to the work at hand by participating and working along with the workers at least once in a while to maintain an esprit de corps and don’t just isolate themselves in the office all day,

they are effective listeners and make their workers feel important and respected when they communicate,

the best bosses also have a sense of humor and can tell entertaining stories to perk up workers,

they are thankful or show gratitude so that workers feel that their efforts are appreciated,

they are inspirational and optimistic and give earned praise appropriately thus inspiring workers,

they have an ability to energize their workers when the going gets tough or tedious.

they know how to discipline good workers who are starting to goof off or are no longer doing a good job. This can be done with a threatened firing or pointing out role model workers who are doing the job well or better and thus challenging the wayward worker to do better or get back in shape.

SUPPORT OR HELP IS GIVEN WITH THE FOLLOWING TECHNIQUES:

They acknowledge work well done or give credit where credit is due,

they empower or give the tools and direction necessary to do the job and are good coaches,

they are results oriented and are not out to win a popularity contest if it means a job not well done,

they strengthen the workforce by eliminating bad workers who destroy the incentive to do well and function at optimal efficiency.

THE TRUTH ABOUT SPONSORSHIP+

how_spon_works

Sponsorship: n. giving funds and/or helping a subset(s)

A donation is just giving financial support and most sponsorships involve some additional help other than financial to support a cause, a human, or an organization. A true sponsor usually has more responsibility than just a financial investment role and frequently offers additional help of some kind.

Sponsoring a needy child overseas means financial support but also some communication with that child encouraging or motivating them with love, affection, and advice.

Many athletes are sponsored by corporations in a purely monetary way so sponsorship is just a way of making the donor feel more important than they really are and the sponsors are usually not helping in other ways too.

32 SMART THINGS GREAT LEADERS SAY FREQUENTLY!!!

LION OF JUDAH

Leaders should be short, sincere, and to the point in their communications but each of these phrases can be embellished with added words when it seems the appropriate thing to do.

Leaders offer earned or justified praise to their workers which is a very good motivational tool. You can personalize praise and adjust it to a sports fan by using phrases such as home run and touchdown but it is not very appropriate for female employees:

Congratulations!

Thank you

Great job

Nice work

You earned it

You outdid yourself

I’ll remember this forever

I’m proud of you

I couldn’t do it better

It’s new but I like it

You’re the best at that

Leaders admit when they’re wrong or made a mistake. When both are responsible for the failure they share the blame:

I’m sorry

I’m wrong; your right

I apologize

My fault, sorry

Let’s learn from this

We’ll do it right next time

Leaders affirm that they are a source of help if needed:

You can count on me

I’ll try my best

I’m here to help

I’ll help if needed

It’s my pleasure

I’ll support you

Let’s check your data

Leaders remind a worker of his or her importance:

I’m listening

I believe in you

Back me up

I need you

You come highly recommended

Make a suggestion

Leaders delay a conversation for latter when pressed for time or when no immediate answer is possible:

Let’s table that topic for now!

We’ll get back to this later!

Let’s discuss this further at a later time!

THE TRUTH ABOUT HELP***

images (2)

Help:  v. to give a lifeform(s) a subset(s) so samer lifeform(s) can frequently achieve a necessary and/or desired goal(s)

You can help a human by offering them money, food, a possession, a service, knowledge, physical, or emotional support in time of need. Anything which you offer a human which will assist in achieving his or her goal(s) is help.

Students sometimes need help with homework and need transportation to and from school.

The best human relationships are where mutual helping exists or where each human in the relationship works as a team helping each other to reach their goal(s).

Sometimes the help offered such as the current welfare system only promotes further dependency and actually has some bad consequences. The destitute and also unemployed need a safety net at any age but the system must be radically reformed to eliminate corruption as outlined in my evergreen truth book CHANGES IN WELFARE LAWS.

We can all help biodiversity to survive by protecting and even expanding wilderness real estate. Wilderness plants and animals will help themselves if we just leave them alone and that is mostly all the help that they really need from us.

HOW TO REALLY HELP HUMANS

Friends - one teenage girl comforts another

Helping someone frequently means an investment of time, energy, and rarely money. If money is the issue then it is best not to give any but recommend that they better manage their finances.

Loaning money to friends and relatives in need frequently results in broken friendships and relationships because the money is never paid back and lingering resentment ends the relationship sooner or later.

If they are employed recommend short duration loan companies like Amscot to get emergency money and if they are unemployed recommend that they apply for food stamps but refuse to give financial help.

Most financial problems are caused by overwhelming credit card debt, not budgeting money, and not having a savings account for financial emergencies. My evergreen book HOW TO SAVE MONEY is a very good reference for humans with money problems.

Very frequently when a friend is in trouble all they really want and frequently need is emotional support and empathy with their plight. Unless they ask for advice don’t always offer some because they will assume that you are criticizing them for not leading their lives in a proper way and may resent the advice given. If they do ask for help or advice then do the following.

Helping a friend is usually in the form of good intentioned advice after listening carefully to the problems that the friend is expressing and experiencing. Use your personal life experiences and personal knowledge to add to helpful advice which you think you can make.

If you can’t give advice maybe you can refer your friend to someone who can better help. Friendship is usually sharing life experiences both conversationally and physically.

If a friend seems to need help or advice give it to the best of your ability and be sincere. If there is something physical that you can do for a friend to help and it will not cost too much of your valuable time and effort and money then do it.

Some people just have friends so that they can “hang out” and have some company to use up their free time. Don’t do this because it will not help your life if you are not learning anything new or not experiencing a pleasurable pastime together.

Sometimes people make a mistake and don’t realize they have made one. Go through a description of their actions and see if they will begin to realize what the mistake was. If they still don’t see that they made a mistake or mistakes be sincere and communicate “That seems like a mistake(s) to me. What do you think?” If this question has no response then you will probably not be able to help in any rational way and you are probably wasting your time and should move on.

Everyone has the infrequent experience which greatly upsets and challenges their belief that they have the answer to everything. When something is troubling a friend or an acquaintance ask “what’s wrong?” and then listen to them express their fearful experience. It may upset you also but do your best to tap into your similar experiences and personal knowledge to give reassurance or some useful knowledge which might relate to the upsetting experience and try to emotionally calm the upset party.

When a person suffers a health fright their fear will often be difficult to understand. If it is a life threatening experience like a heart attack there is cause to be upset and only reassurance and listening to their fears will not help.

Suggest that most health warnings or problems are usually not fatal except for cancer and that with time the body will heal itself and the health fright will go away with the right nutrition and a localized exercise and/or rest for the area of pain. High blood pressure and signs of diabetes can be treated naturally without the need for constant medication. Offer help in the form of nutritional advice found in my blogs and you may succeed in calming down the health fright.

Helping someone to plan a visit is a logistical problem as well as a problem of scheduling things to do which may or may not be mutually beneficial. If the visiting guest can’t sleep over then suggest a nearby motel or hotel. Suggest a rental car or promise to drive them around in your own car if they don’t use their own car.

If they are not a close family relative or relatives then suggest possible interesting tourist sights which they could prepare for and visit. If it is a family affair and everyone wants to sleep over then ask them to bring air mattresses or provide them with some which you purchase yourself.

Helping someone prepare for a job interview may not be your strong point so suggest that they go on the internet and Google the information needed. In a nutshell your appearance is important and your resume should be sent prior to the interview and you should let the interviewer ask most of the questions to which you should respond in a sincerely and truthfully and enthusiastically where necessary.

Basically the job interviewer wants to know if you are experienced or a fast learner or are going to show up for work on time and if you seem to have an optimistic attitude and communication skills which will help in the job environment. Further education in the job field may also help to land a future job.

In this selfish, overly exposed to sex, modern society many humans need help with dating, family relationships, and finding close friendships. Many of my evergreen blogs cover these topics but if you want serious help and knowledge read one or more of my evergreen books LOVEALL, MODERN PARENTING, AND GOOD MODERN BEHAVIORS.
