The truth is that writing is unnatural and it is an artificial form of verbal communication which takes too many years to learn because of its complex grammatical structure. Writing is just an extension of aural communication and if we had perfect photographic and verbal memories we would not need writing or reading to communicate.
Writing is a crutch used to store information for future generations and it is not a very efficient tool to do so. There is a natural tendency for humans to rebel against reading and writing because it is so demanding and difficult and texting with abbreviations is just proof that language should be shortened, improved, and made more efficient.
Verbosity is boring and arduous since you can condense the information in most hundred page books, especially novels, into a few sentences or paragraphs. Reading and writing used to be the domain of the priestly powerful class and until writing and reading is made more efficient it should remain the domain of the elite class of humans gifted in its use.
Trying to convey emotion in writing with inaccurate similes, metaphors, superlative words, and exclamation points is inefficient and should be left to verbal communications.
Language is highly emotional with an absence of much logical thinking and it needs a serious update with logical definitions and usage without so many emotional words.
My evergreen truth book SCIENTIFIC THESAURUS is about 6000 logical definitions with suggestions on how language can be made more efficient with the use of only verbs, nouns, adverbs, and adjectives.
Writing and reading should be a dying profession for the masses until it becomes more efficient so that every teenager, even with a rather poor memory, can be well versed in language and can be smart logical communicators and not emotional illogical wrecks!!!!!!
