Fidget: v. to make small frequently repetitive movements frequently with body subsets when sensing anxiety and/or impatience

Rapping your fingers up and down on a desk or table, slightly tapping your feet, and playing with your hair by twirling part of it with your fingers are all possible signs of fidgeting because you are impatient and/or anxious about something. It is an obvious sign that you are killing some time probably waiting for something important to happen or waiting for something uninteresting to end.

Students sometimes fidget in school because frankly they are bored with what is going on or don’t understand what is spoken about and they are showing their impatience and/or anxiety.
