About 1 in 10 Americans is diagnosed with depression. There are probable reasons why this is so.
Toxic food, isolation from nature, psychological attachment to pessimism, excess consumerism, too little exercise, suppressing bad feelings, psychiatrists pushing drugs for depression with bad side effects, and a toxic environment are all possible reasons for an increase in depression.
Basically many of us are not leading mentally and physically rewarding and/or healthy lives and that seems to be the basic reason behind so many depressed humans.
