Strike: v. to willfully nonfraudulently steal money from a monopoly business(s) or government(s) affected by the stealing but it is also to willfully and forcibly steal money from third parties affected injuriously by the stealing and/or to rarely stop work for safety reasons

Theoretically it may seem that a nonviolent strike by many humans is not stealing anything from anyone but what you are stealing is the free flow of money or energy which effectively is large stealing of money from the business or government which you are striking and the third party humans dependent on the struck institution for money for their daily operations.

 

A single individual will frequently not threaten the survival of a business or institution by quitting or threatening to quit but all the employees is another very serious circumstance and can be considered grand larceny. It is also the stealing of the free flow of information (censorship) and goods (temporary theft) and services (forcefully blockading services paid for by customers) which are provided by the business or government.

 

Strikes not only injure the business being struck but also the customers dependent on the business. If a business is struck then you can usually go to another business if it is not a monopoly business to purchase needed information, goods, and services so unless you have hardware investments which can’t be replaced so easily then you will only suffer short duration financial loses.

 

More serious is government strikes which injure third parties dependent on the government for services. The third parties affected adversely by government strikes should have a right to sue the unions for any financial losses incurred by the strike. Class action suits against government unions, especially teachers unions, by taxpayers should also be permitted.

 

If you are a government worker and feel that you are being ripped off salary wise by the government then switch to the private sector for a job but don’t ripoff the taxpayers and third party humans dependent on government services. We desperately need more efficient governments and class action suits by taxpayers against bloated inefficient government unions is one of the solutions.
