Fervent and passionate are identical synonyms unless you include devoted in the definition of fervent. THE TRUTH ABOUT LIKE+

Facebook-like

Like: v. to sense low intensity pleasure for a subset(s) and the behaviors which exist with the sensing of samer subset(s)

The above definition is a comprehensively complete but the subtle differences between liking and loving are not intuitively obvious and need further explanation.

We behave somewhat differently with something that we like compared to something which we might love. We generally don’t care as much for something that we like and our desire to interact with it is not as urgent or as frequent. We also generally get less upset when deprived of something which we like rather than something which we love.

Liking something can sometimes grow into a loving relationship once mastery of a likable activity is achieved or once the true desirable identity of a total personality is revealed.

Loving can also sometimes decrease to just liking with too much exposure or too much interaction which can result in boredom and some repulsive feelings. Overdosing on loving behavior is a definite possibility and it is one reason why most infatuations decrease in intensity with the passage of time.

THE TRUTH ABOUT REINFORCEMENT+

8863403

Reinforcement: n. increasing the strength of a subset(s)

We commonly think of troop reinforcements which means increasing the quantity or adding more troops to the battle or adding more police to the police force.

There is also behavior reinforcement which means increasing the frequency or the number of times that a behavior is repeated so that it is learned properly and has staying power.

There is also reinforcing your loving feelings with much loving behavior. There is also the reinforcement of cement with rebar which strengthens the cement structure.

In effect if you increase the frequency, quantity, intensity, or strength of something then you are probably reinforcing.

If you increase the quantity of the food which you buy then humans don’t commonly think of this as reinforcing food so quantity alone sometimes does not determine whether you are actually reinforcing something.

To make more powerful is usually what reinforcing is all about.

THE TRUTH ABOUT PLEASURE

pleasure-guilty

Pleasure: n. sensing a sensation which the brain subjectively judges to be good and is what most people desire to experience in various degrees of intensity

Objectively the pleasure which you sense may not be the best thing for you in the long duration such as a drug high which feels good but can devastate your life if you become addicted. Some masochists find pleasure in pain so their brain is dysfunctional and needs rewiring from an objective point of view.

Some hedonists devote their lives to the pursuit of pleasure in all its deviant forms and frequently live to regret their unwise choices. Doing only what feels good is an irrational highly emotional view of life which is devoid of logic and prior human experience about the right way to be living life among other humans.

Our pleasure seeking minds must be disciplined to avoid bad pleasures in favor of good pleasures. Morality and reason helps us to differentiate between the good and bad and good role models are the key to doing so successfully.
